If you enchant your gear properly you can be nearly invincible. Everyone talks about MP regen, which is nice, but if you keep your elemental and physical defenses high enough most things will be hitting you for 0 damage. The way the stats work is very simple, if you hold you mouse click on an enemy and see that it does 80 physical damage and 5 fire damage than anything equal to or greater than 80 physical defense and 5 fire resistance will result in 0 damage being taken. I focused completely on balancing out my defense and at the end the only things that could hurt me were the wyverns and the final boss.

Quick suggestion: adding fast travel when you are on the other side of the map and you don't want to walk, as long as there is no enemies or other things in the way, then you will run (x2 speed) to your chosen location on the map.

Whoa. You can RUN AWAY by clicking somewhere else you can go! Not that you should get into fights you won't reliably win, but wow.

I wish there was a journal for all the pages. Other than that this game is one of the best flash games I have played.

Transmute potions to have hundreds of potions and not worry about dying for any enemy who does not kill you in a single blow

Word of advice: you can transmute ingredients, so you can store up a lot of them if you need extra potions for help, or want to save those later stronger items :)

Easy way to beat the game: get the healing skill, enchant every equiped gear (or almost every) with MP regen, add all stats to defence. The eye skill to reveal the map is also very useful. good luck and have fun.

Don't be afraid to put lousy enchantments on a thing that doesn't have a better one already - you can replace them later with something better. If you have a weak one and a strong one, put the weak one on in slot 2 (or put it on first and then the strong one).

Needs hotkeys to equip a complete outfit. Like, 'shift-A' to throw a dialog to ask if you want to remember the current outfit as 'a' or forget it. Then, pressing 'a' will re-equip that outfit. And, any equipment in an outfit is not 'junk'.
That would make this game much less tedious to play efficiently.

while you may be able to find better games like this you probably wont for free. it can get alittle boring after while and my tip to the dev would be maybe add different appearances based off of gear being used along with new attack animations and effects based off of your weapon and its natural enchantments. honestly this game is not just a simple rpg or dungeon crawler its a free rogue lite with perm rpg elements to it and a decent game for people who love to grind out the best gear and have hordes of treasures. another thing is i find it alittle easy so to make it a more challenge i feel monsters should aggro when you get 1 block away from them and even team up if you make a bad decision to move between two or more.also to the players the guy who sells stuff by the tavern seems to only sell artifacts so you will keep them untill you decide to sell them so if you are new and having issues finding decent gear just go through a few floors use wings then try to buy a perm item from him.

The best strategy to use is to only enchant your gear with health and mana regen, prioritizing mana regen over health, and to put lots into both magic and defense.

Very nice game. 5/5 Although, the last treasure was disappointing as I already had a stronger weapon (Crystal sword with attack enchantment).

I love the upgrade system. If only there were tiers, such as completing the skill tree and then getting better stats for two skill points, this would be my favorite of my lifetime. In the meantime, I'll try to figure out how to break Kongregate so I could rate more than five stars.

Tip: Click and hold on a square that has an enemy on it; it will allow you to see their stats, and you can plan ahead, and decide if the battle is worth fighting!
