Sadly, DusitnAux, I am quite annoyed that you bumped Epic Battle Fantasy 4 to second best. I can only give you four stars, no matter how hard I want to give it five.

True transmute in a 1 run win is "useless" unless you plan to go back in. I picked up transmute at that point because I wanted to get some things saved for after the run. Until you get to the last 10 floors or so your mp+hp regen will surpass the damage you are taking so you can burn off extra mp transmuting stuff for later if you have the spell. If you don't, you waste a bunch of potential transmutations.

this game reminds me of the old-school game called "neophyte"(and koplio maybe).
if you have played neophyte, you will know what i mean .

Only saves in town are permanent and only artifacts and items turned into artifacts with Transmute spell are kept when you leave the cave. Please uprate this so people see it.

Note: in the bar to the bottom right part of the room the NPC on the right side of the table have a grammar error in it's text. He/she states "There so many interesting items in there!" it might not be worth going through all the coding to change one little error tho... FacePalm...

This game is very, very good. Much improvement made on the first one; I tried to go back to that and realised until I have finished this one I don't think I can. Props, DustinAux.

Really annoying that it take away all your loot... including what you are wearing... when you leave the dungeon to heal up

lol mana regen is bae xD literally transmute all the enchant materials and make all the pots later on this enchanted cave is miles ahead of the other one nonetheless so good job

I think the combat skill tree is a waste of skill points better spent elsewhere since I can farm crystals for more attack and defense, and having Transmute earlier means getting to keep better gear. But I would not say it is nuts to disagree or have a different playstyle.

malzcontent: does doing a 1-run win give you a special sword? I can't find the final sword artifact past Hero's Sword.

malzcontent: There are many ways to win. I focused on defense and health regen. With that many enemies do zero damage so you can use them to heal. Crafting potions takes too long. With Transmute right away you can build yourself a complete set of equipment without having to rely on artifacts and starting with almost nothing every run.

Tip for artifact/craft material hunters: After using Reveal, click on the map. It will become larger and shown what chests are what (whether its artifact, normal, or crafting). Especially useful for finding artifacts.

All the people saying to rush anything in the magic track are completely nuts. Maxing the combat stats first with a focus on damage is by far better. You don't get reliable mana regen until floor you can get some cabbages so far better is to not take damage than to get to cast heal 2 or 3 times.
Tips for getting a 1 run completion:
1. If you fail, just exit to menu and in options delete your save date to try again.
2. Always level up damage. Skill up your combat stats tree with a focus on damage first.
3. Buy the 3 damage dagger and the 2 defense shield on the way in.
4. Always buy all the health potions at the merchants. Buy any materials that craft into health potions as well.
5. Kill everything but be smart about the order. Use things you are still able to one shot (or kill with no incoming damage) to allow your mp and hp regen to kick in when necessary.
4. My preferred tree order is: all combat stats->heal->transmute->potion duration->potion efficiency

How do you get past floor 80? I replayed after beating the game and I still am not getting stairs generated on floor 80. Top scores are all way over 80 though.

Easy last boss: Buy and Transmute a bunch of health potions over a few runs. Once you get a nice stockpile there's no way you can lose.

With the amount of hotswapping gear between fights I find myself doing, I really wish I could have custom armor sets that I could switch through instead of having to remember what combo got me what resistances.

When starting out I suggest making a bee line straight for the Transmute spell. You can also Transmute crafting material to save for later.

For the last time, if there are going to be keyboard and mouse controls then everything should have a function on both. Space or enter, even shift, to exit messages would be nice.

I jsut learned what the sparkly walls are! Wish i knew they were secret rooms sooner..... Also. Almost dead. Can move without fighting? Uses escape rings... Lost my Fire Dagger... ;-;

It would be cool if you could make preset equipment groupings...like I click my "Ice Defense" group and my equipment changes to a set that I have preset to that page

Could we have the possibility of renaming our own Crafted Potions ourselves? That way we can easily identify what it does after crafting. That would be very helpful!

Is there some kind of memory leak in the game? I will be playing it and the battle animations and some of the fighting will just slow down immensely and sometimes crash my flash player

So, for starter's, here's some tips:
1. Get as much treasure as you can on your first 8 dives, and sell as much equipment as you can.
2. Buy the Obsidian Shield, and Eagle's Talon after your 2nd and 5th Dives. Pixie Pants on 6th and Regeneration Ring on 7th are less emergency needed, but Shield and Talon are bombs. You probably sadly just won't have enough gold out of your first dive to buy the first Item (I hope it's not the Eagle's Talon, I get confused about the order of the Mysterious Merchant's goods right outside the Inn)
3. Get Heal Spell at level 2 with your first 3 Skill Points, then go after either Fire Spell, or Warrior Skill Points.
4. There's a Giant Spider on Floor 25, a Yeti on Floor 50, a Save Shop on Floor 60 that's hard to get to because Floor 50 doesn't get one after you kill the Yeti, and a Final BOSS at Floor 80.

Having extensively played the first Enchanted Cave, I can say this game was a total success to the series. Seriously, if this is what we get for a sequel, i'm thrilled to see what a third game could look like. The only things i've noticed that bugged me was lack of a straightforward tutorial on button mechanics, crafting, etc. It's a learn-as-you-go but it could frustrate some people. The other thing is equiping items; maybe i've missed a button but I don't want to go to compare --> equip. On a side note, what about double clicking to equip items?

It's really nice and all...but it would be really nice if the different equipement would change the look of the character...still, 5/5

Wow. There was a guy standing outside of the inn and when i talked to him he said ''Hey, i have an obsidian shield. Do you want it? It's only 450 gold.''
It's an artifact that gives 13 defense, 5 fire defense and 5 rock or something defense.
I'm writing this so that you check every time you go to the town.

Tip for the first floors: Always kill shrooms, they drop a material to make healing potions. Mix the materials that shrooms drop with any other material (Healing/Defense effect materials will have a better effect) to get a health potion. It's not that powerful, but at least you can recover a little just by killing easy enemies.
