You can farm skill crystals as long as you don't move onto the next shop region (ie use wings to leave at floors ending in 9). I'm not completely sure if this works at floor 49 since there is no shop at 50. I couldn't test my theory since I didn't notice this until I started farming 70-79 over and over again.

If you use Transmute on an ingredient, you can stack it with an un-transmuted version of itself when crafting. This allows for greater focus when enchanting gear and making potions.

I liked it! I think it would be cool if there were different endings depending on how quickly you beat it. I played through the game a second time and managed to beat it on the third day, but I was sad to see the town's death count jumped up to 19 and the town was empty. :(

Nice game.
Though too easy for me.
I've managed to finish lvl 80 in 1 wing escape.
I would expect more levels and more variety for the next datadisk/sequel.
Like for example variety of instant spells - spells that do damage out of combat(before); aoe damage spells, line damaging single target, cursing spells...
There should also be more variety in monsters - like monsters who have super high normal defence buf are killable by elements, monsters who can curse you(level duration), can dodge normal attacks, have super high damage but low hp, drain life, drain mana...
Cos right now I think the golden path is:
combat>magic>potions(are potions skill any useful???)
And if you focus on:
defence + mana reg. + avoid certain enemies then you'll do miraculous well

So anyone slightly disappointed we didn't get to fight the demon that's mentioned or at least see the 'soul jewel' that's mentioned? Or is it possible and I'm just stupid?

ONE RUN KILLING ALL: Put ALL points on DEFENSE and unlock it first. After it, get attack then critical. When low on life and potions (floor 20+-) unlock Heal Magic and use in survival case at start, saving mana for enchant. Enchant only Defense until you get some HP REGEN, and later MP REGEN. Prefer the Defense equipment, only change them for some HP/MP regen (floor 30+) to be invincible (means you get more HP or MP+Heal Magic than you take damage after battles), or if it is really good on other attributes. Don't sell animal items, spend them to enchant Defense, HP/MP Regen, and potions (boss floor 25-50... make all potions you can for buffs). Analyse enemies and battles, pay ATTENTION to normal and elemental damage you suffer to fix your weak points. KILL EVERY MONSTER for XP. Sell equipment you don't use, but save some elemental defense things. ENCHANT COMMON EQUIPMENT, but prioritize golden one's. Skills: after "warrior" go for "mage" and "potions+drop+gold" for last.

I'm +1'ing the 'Can we please actually pick our character instead of being stuck with a white person that appears to be a dude?' suggestion. Low rating until that's an option.

i don't know why have "save" on options, if i lose i return to last run before i die... maybe load game or slot (salve) should be include :)

well the secret room can be found at every 5 floors counting 1-4,5-9,11-14,... that and if u take heal and then max battle tree and focus on defence nothing damages u add 20 mana regen tada ur close to invincible
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Any chance to add a "very fast" battle speed option? Most of the monsters don't cause me any damage but since my attack is not strong as the defence it still takes a while to defeat them...

There is one secret room for every five floors. To find all the lore (and some more items), look for the shining walls on floors: 1,9,14,17,22,27,34,35,41,46,52,56,64,68,74, and 79.
(like for others to see)

Max the potion efficiency skill tree, then use the viscous slime from the purple slimes to enchant health regen onto all your equipment and you'll be pretty much invincible.

This game is great but I have a way to make the game better. (SO IF YOU THINK THIS GAME DESERVES AN A+ STOP READING) This game would be awesomer if it was multiplayer because we could trade and make a team to take a run in the cave kinda like MAZE RUNNERS

a way to get infinite skill points and gold can you find them too? i think its nice this way as a sort of sandbox mode, will break the runs to beat the game counter if someone posts how. i really dont like the quit run button
it serves no purpose i can see other then really enraging me when i click it by accident after playing for hours...i think it should just be another button for the wings as they are so common or atleast move it, i don't need help killing myself. other then that pretty top notch

Game bug:
Used museum once and it reset my gear , now every time I leave I lose everything but my skirt , shirt , weapon and rings

The mini map needs updating, when you open a chest, the map should show a path blocker or something similar, and when you step on the stairs and choose no, they dissipate from the mini map.

(continued from last comment) Lose all your non-special items? Doesn't matter, the special ones are usually the best anyways and when you get past where you were before you'll just get even better items anyways. Transmute and MP regen further break this system. Because of this, the tension fades after the first run. The first run you're really rationing your resources and strategizing every fight to get the most out of what you have. After you go back once, you'll have enough skills and items to at least get to the last boss, if not beat him. If the third one you do the entire dungeon and stock potions to the end then you'll definitely win. That's basically how my playthrough went, tense first run, second run to the boss room and transmute as many things as possible, third run beat the game. It seems a bit too easy overall and there's not much incentive to really squeeze out your resources rather than just go back, though that's how I ended up playing because I enjoy that the most. 4/5

Pretty fun game and a good sequel. There was some interesting strategy involved with the enchantment and elemental mechanics. However, it did have some issues. The combination forged from magic healing and MP regen is completely broken and made the game pretty easy. Similar balance issues apply to gold, you get way too much of it and can buy out the potions from every shop. Once you reach the last boss your gear hardly matters, you'll have about 50 potions and you can't lose. The skill trees are really skewed, the combat tree is vastly superior to the magic(excluding heal) and potion ones, and the magic one is vastly superior to the potion one. Changing loadouts nearly every single enemy to min max elemental resistances later on got really annoying as well. A save loadout option would be great. Really the fundamental problem though is that there's pretty much no penalty for going back. (continued in next comment)

It is wrong that all the items disappear when you leave the cave. That's just crap. At least make the items auto-equip if the slot is empty...overall, too much time wasted re-equipping. Why bother with the compare feature or even care whether you should keep something or not? It's gonna disappear anyway. Been in twice...3 stars for the effort.

+ potion efficiency IS factored into enchantments. This is critical for squeezing in extra stats into enchantments and will end up providing more stats than spending the skill points into flat attack.

well done on making a game with a gold and skill point abuse, this i can deal with. putting the quit run next to the back to title button while making it many many times more punishing then death well f-ing done how much crack did you smoke to think losing all progress was a good idea? this completely ruined my experience and i wont be playing again

in case you didnt know, you can smooth out the graphics in settings.. i didnt know this until i reached level 95.........D; it looks so much better

There seems to be no help menu. The book icon only displays the enemy stats page. There are several questions regarding enchanting which don't seem to be answered. Maybe this could be incorporated in an update...?!

You should get transmute spell as fast as possible the you can rerun from lvl 0 just to transmute potions and keep them for other runs. Works well with mp regeneration.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
jskirl, you need to get the spell near the end of the magic portion of the skill menu called Transmute. It can turn any item into a Artifact. Use it on the berries and they leave the cave with you. From there give it to the guy, do another run, go back and talk to him. He'll give you an amazing health potion.

I duplicated my ring by clicking enchant on it and trying to add boots by dubble clicking it. Then by pressing back i got an extra ring and my boots are gone.
