MP regen is overrated. Spend all your points on defense, and wear the appropriate high defense (physical and magical) armor for each monster, and all monsters will barely scratch you. During the last several floors my armor was so good that all monsters did 0 damage to me.

Fantastic game! I'm really enjoying the classically simple RPG without the major complexities that a lot of RPGs try to pack in these past few years. How fun!
The only thing I would like to request would be a hotkey for the inventory. Would make for a lot less back-and-forth mousing :)

The game is fantastic! I loved EC1 and this is miles better! As much as I love it, though, it kind of makes me want a more story-driven version of the game. I've never been too fond of games focused solely on dungeon crawling, though I do love this one. 5/5 regardless, however, jsut for making a great flash rpg.

I think you should either change the alchemist/merchant tree, or make artiifacts available in shops, or explorers randomly spawn that will sell you one inside the caves too make that skill tree viable, other than that the game is awesome good work! :)

It's been a while since I played the first "The Enchanted Cave", but the first thing I do when I enter the cave is stare at the merchant suspiciously.

First playthrough, start walking round, after a little while keys stick and i die to a spider. try again, after a while, same thing. every time. many times. So that reduces this great walkabout quest style game to a one clikc wonder. and it isnt very wonderful. 5/10. 5 for the gameplay, the missing half for the bug filled content

I've completed the game before it was badged, now I can't find the giant spider. Also, what is game completed? clear last floor? cause I can't get the hard badge either.

Skills should not dissapear after you have used escape wings. It is more annoying than it adds "difficulty" to the game.

Amazing, but please make it where you can walk over the stairs after you say no to go to the next level. I sometimes need to go around the stairs and this annoys me.

in the tavern theres a man at a table to the very far right. if you get him something, then he gives you a health potion, that heals 800 hp. it worth it to buy, and DO NOT use it until your at the very last boss. (i wont say who it is, to not spoil it.) Also, the spell transmute, IS YOUR FRIEND. if you want to complete the tavern guys mission, you need this spell. plus if you get some awesome armour, rings, or swords or other items, you can transmute them so they become artifacts.
The Best Strategy: Keep repeating levels between shops, until you can 1 shot everything. when you can do this, go to a shop, and sell everything you don't need. this way when you use escape wings, you can buy items.
(at the end of the game i had over 1000, 000 gold )

when you die they need to patch it when you lose xp,gold items,gem stats, and enchantments. I frickin lost 9 gold items and dozens of levels when an overpowered frog killed me. This was a really fun game until i lost everything

Bug: in combat, pressing the spell button consumes MP immediately, even if you already have a spell queued. Low framerate might force a player to hit the button multiple times lest the input get frameskipped, and then they waste tons of MP expecting it to work like it does out of combat.

Whoever made the comment about MP Regen being awesome wasn't joking. I went from having a ton of trouble clearing from 30 to 40 (like going back to 20 to stockpile potions and other mats before hitting 30 to make it doable), to suddenly clearing from 40 to 80 in one go, simply because I picked up the regeneration ring from the dude selling stuff outside of town.

Used save game feature having played 30 levels then got squished on level 35 from not paying attention only to find no progress has been saved and cant return to level 30
What the fook is the save feature if it does not save your progress?

you have to re-apply the skills they are in the bar.. click the item thing in the bottom left corner and put them onto your bar again

Yes, I was missing something. Skills can be equipped from the button in the bottom left corner, if anyone else didn't catch that.

My skills aren't carrying over from one run to the next. They still show up as unlocked on the skill tree. Am I missing something?

Try to stockpile equipment with decent to high ice defense for floors 40 through 60. It will save you a lot of hassle in healing.

i honestly dont remember murdering a spider but i did beat the game like 2 times yet i still dont have any of the badges except the 3rd one.... why

Well, on my third run I made it all the way to the bottom and died to the sorcerer boss. Then I was stuck with my level 7 character and no gear. Not playing this again.

I did those ''It Belongs in a Museum'' before badges came in and did it again still didnt got those points and i have killed that giant spider too long time ago and didint got any points what i can do??

@astreon No,there is not. There is even a person on the INN that flees/disapears later in the game that says that he was expecting a boss at level 50 and then says something along the lines of "boy I was wrong" level 50 has one time boss instead, but after you defeat the boss he doesn't come back, like the level 25 boss

GREAT GAME! you obviously put a lot of time and effort into this one. It is polished, looks great, plays great and is certainly on par with most games out there. You are well on your way to being a great programmer! I expect to see some big titles coming from you in the future!
