Think I found a glitch... I'm currently at floor 500(...) and faced an NPC saying 'Something glitched :( you're not supposed to be able to talk to me"

General tips: In many replays, I found raising Attack to be best. I personally go for combat tree then thief tree. Skills (except Transmute/Telekinesis) arent too useful; I prefer using MP for Heal. Thief tree gives more drops and effect from potions - important especially on floors 40+ when potions become scarce. Crafting is key. The more you progress, the more elemental def becomes crucial. Where enchants wont suffice, make potions for buffs. Crafted potions cannot be used in battle. Use these to heal between battles while saving found potions for emergencies. Only kill enemies that block the way. Exp is important but better gear on higher floors plays a bigger role. Wood chests: reagents; Metal: Gear; Green: potions/pickaxes; Red: artifacts.

For tips: Enchant ALL the things! If a reagent has 2 properties, desired one can be chosen while crafting. Enchants can also be replaced. F10: enchant a Tiny Spine for Bleed (Yes, it stacks). Add a Mage Helm w/this to heal. Vicious Goop's HP Regen also helps. F25+: Fractal Cabbages (MP Regen). F30: enchant Turtle Shell for Earth Def. Voidweed from Blood Spiders helps w/Dark Def. F40-60 is all Cold Def. Floor 60: get Plasma Glass for Decimate. Use the last forge on F75 to prepare for the boss. Ditch regen and go w/Bloodthorns and Hearts of Darkness. With remaining spots, enchant for Dodge. Keep regen armor for the last few floors. Since you're in the final stretch, use excess reagents to craft buffing potions even for normal enemies. You wont be able to take them out of the cave anyway. Before boss, craft as many buffs as possible. Then just keep up healing while letting Bleed/Decimate do the work.

Great game, Dustin! Even better than the first! :D I love how there's actually a story behind the cave now. However, please, please, PLEASE add navigation arrows to shop menus. *tries to scroll down to reagents* *accidently spends the last of valuable gold on unneeded armor* Q~Q

if only we get a combined elemental spell "after all elements spells are unlocked" and does an elemental mg according to the monster weak element that would make space for other stuff on casting bar

Could please make a save file or something for later playing. Because when I save and quit then go back to the game again, the play button changed to "New Game"

I really like this game! It's long and that's a part of an addicting game. At first, I thought the only appeal to the game was getting the best gear and defeating whatever boss may be at the top. That's what I thought the game was before playing it. But then, on my second run, I found a secret passageway and a little journal. I thought that was interesting, and when I returned to the town...people were missing. People calling it cursed...I knew this game was so much more interesting from then on out. And it was.

suggestions for a possible 3rd game: endless mode, multiplayer, logbook/journal when finding documents, set classes, character customization(or switch genders at the very least), companions/party members, and larger town. M

I think a hardcore mode with no wings would be neat. After beating both versions, I made a habit of wiping all my save data and trying to get all the way through without the wings.

@ Darkus982 : Just Transmute 1 of the ingredient, and combine a transmuted + untransmuted to make a "2 of the same" potion

Great game. I'd love to see a third one. Maybe in the third one you could add an extraction option where you can extract the enchanted properties from items you get, but with a high rate of failure/losing the items you try to extract from. That way you wouldn't necessarily have to lose those awesome armor bonuses when you swap it out for higher level gear. (I really just want to add that 5% instant-death to all my armor)

@kenthesniper: You can sell all artifacts that you find at a regular 10-floor shop. Using the stairs in the hidden rooms allows you to avoid enemies that lead to the regular stairs. For example: You are low on health, but when you spawn, you find a hidden room without any monsters next to it. You can now go to the next floor without fighting any monsters, then you get an artifact chest, and maybe something else.

One thing that annoys me is the fact that we can only keep one of each item in the musem. I have like three fire daggers in my inventory, plus mutiple of other aritfacts which I can't sell and are useless to me.

I'd like to see the addition of a hidden tab in the museum for reagents. How else am I going to brag about my dungeon cabbages?

For swag purposes, I used around a thousand mana after beating the game to transmute all of my remaining junk equips and 11 large healing potions (and 2 large mana potions because I ran out of things besides reagents to transmute). My favorite is probably the artifact fractal cabbage, in tribute to its usefulness letting me beat the game so easily. Mana Regeneration OP pls nerf

First delve: Floor 14. Second delve: Floor 80+Done. Key to sustain: MP regen. Skill heal and then the attack tree, then later get mana tree filled out without any other spells. Enchant for Mana regen, around floor 40 get 30 ice defense (enchant your new better equips with 6+ ice defense). ALWAYS buy all potions from shops as well as good reagents. Money is worthless. Insta-kill is OP, Crit is good, keep defenses high, avoid fights more and more after floor 65, using your 20 saved magic picks to avoid almost all fights after floor 70-75. Go straight for the stairs instead of taking damage to save your pots. Craft every potion you can before the boss, you'll have +20 to everything for him and you'll win very, very easily (unless you somehow run out of potions, but considering I ended with 10 large HP and 20 MP pots which is around 7k HP in healing you should be fine).

As a fan who played the first game quite a bit, I'm kind of disappointed that the game isn't harder than it is. With some MP regeneration (I got up to 17) you can spam Heal after every battle and there's no real challenge for hours and hours. I feel like playing well and being smart with itemization and crafting should make you able to survive, not make you into a god. The MP regen reagents become less prevalent so the ice caves can pose a challenge later (until you get to a crafting station and get 20 resistance to ice damage and are able to feed on every enemy on every floor for free exp and health/mana regen...

I get that you need 2 ingredients to make a potion, but why not use the same ingredient twice? I mean, I get it for White Morels because that would just be OP, but how about make it so the ingredient must have 2 properties to use for a potion, like Fuzzys for example. Use two to make a Dark Defense/Offense potion instead of having to make separate potions. Again, I get it for White Morels and Small Teeth, but as I said, why not have it so that the ingredient must have two properties? Anyone else think this would be nice?

I would like to see this game continue. Either through more sequels or through the dungeon scaling and getting progressively harder. Deeper than the levels given. I was disappointed to finish the game, then work my way back down to the last level to find... disappointment. I didn't even get to max out my skill tree! Fun game, but needs to expand!
