One strategy that is easy to do is to enchant every item with mana regen and health regen. In addition to stacking defense, you are pretty much unstoppable. Have a few health potions stocked up to fight the final boss, and it's a walk in the park.

Very much easier than I remember the first one being. I completed it on my second trip into the cave. First I maxed out the attack/defense tree (with a dip in magic for the heal spell). After that I put my points into the potions tree. I killed nearly every enemy that I saw, ending level was 25. Boots Gloves chest and weapon were normal items so I don't know what they had been. I did not go the high mp regeneration route, I found killing the stuff faster to not take the damage in the first place was more effective. Ring of choice was burst ring and I smeared decimate on all the things.

note:YOU CANT EVADE THE WYVERN ON THE BOSS LEVEL, it summons a wall of light dragons, + so people can see this and not waste gold on magic pickaxes

I have been playing this game for over 2 weeks.; was level 30. Got to floor 70. Suddenly all my data reset. Lost my save. SO TERRIBLE!

I was expecting the 1000-soul demon to appear as a post-game boss. Wouldn't the necromancer's soul have been consumed by his own crystal?
As a minor suggestion, it would be really nice if the hero was gender-selectable. There wouldn't be too much sprite work involved, and it would make 50% of your playerbase feel a lot better.

Oh. Wonderful. If you ever - EVER - even once, accidentally click on "Start" instead of continue, your save is immediately wiped out. I guess I'm done here.

And now I've just figured out that they (items you place in the museum) DO leave your inventory, unless they've been transmuted. In which case a copy goes into the museum, which you can later retrieve. The original stays in your inventory, however.

I've been playing this game for three days and my dude is level 28. I only just this moment realized that when you put things in the museum, they don't leave your inventory. That would have been helpful to know sooner.

This game is really fun but I would like to see the next game multiplayer and you can form a party to enter a dungeon/cave and have an ending to that one and continue to another. Hopefully this happens because I want to play with my friends and bro in one dungeon and the more people the harder the dungeon is. If you could then thanks.

Arrrg!!! My trackpad just caused me to miss-click on a dragon when my health was low and I panicked. For some reason I tried to run away then to click on my health hotkey rather than just press the number. All my progress from level 59 to level 79 in the maze has just been lost!!! That's four hours of playtime lost! Rage quit. But I'll be back tomorrow.

It shouldn't cost me extra MP to use spells with no effect (ex: Heal at full HP, or using Revealer twice). I keep double clicking by accident.

The game tells you that you can run from battle but doesn't tell you that it takes longer than just walking. my first death was because I thought I would take only one or two hits

@pizzaman8176: If you add your spells to the action bar WHILE IN TOWN then that will be the default setup from from then on.

@yoyofail I had a hard time with it too, but if you wanna put a spell in your toolbar, here's what you've gotta do: 1) Open up the quick menu so you see your toolbar and the spell at the same time. 2) Click ONCE on the spell. If you click twice, you'll use the spell. 3) Click once where you want the spell to go on your toolbar. 4) Click once more on the spell, and it'll be there.

Tip for new players, Hopefully this stays up for a while. If you put a health regen enchantment on your equipment, you will gain health after every battle. So if you can kill enemies without taking damage, and you are in need of health, MURDER THOSE ENEMIES. You will hopefully gain a LOT of health. Each enchantment usually gives +4 from what I've seen.

Honestly the only complaint I have with this game so far: The books in the secret rooms automatically pop up when you walk by them. This is annoying when that's the only path I can take to get to the chests and then I have to go back through it to get to the stairs.

...i found out that if your about to die even if your equipment is an artifact if you die with it equiped you still lose it -_- lost some great equipment found in level 46
