It was sooo wery obvious and predictable who the final boss will be...
I also liked the way most monsters seem to headbutt you when you fight them.
Also, I thought it was to easy to get the hard badge (Greg).
Also, the game is a bit to short for my taste.
All in all 4/5, great for starters...who said we needed fancy graphics for a rpg?

Note that you can click on treasure chests to see what it contains. This is pretty helpful, since I only went for the chests that contains consumables!

woohoo i have gotten the blade of the chosen... a few tips: don't use the wings unless you truly can't make it, don't waste your money on buying weapons or armour (i never bought a single piece of armour or weapons.) spend all of your money on potions. i made it through the game without using a single escape wing so good luck to all. (wasn't really a hard badge in my opinion.)

Bug: Gotten 5 eyes and it says I only have 1, it also hasn't given me one out of a chest for like 50 levels now (I'm on floor 91) so I think I might have two bugs going on here.

They all laughed when I got that custom keyboard with an "any" key, but who's laughing now? I've used that key a half dozen times per level. Take that society.

Great game, can't wait for the sequel. However a few issues...
1. Amulets of Wealth, Riches, + Alchemy offer no cash bonuses from defeating monsters.
2. Amulet of Charisma should offer the same 25% bonus when selling at the shop.
3. Agility Attribute: Having a high agility score affects only the first strike, after that, it's back and forth with the enemy. (I have 50 Agility and the monster has 15, I should be able to get in at least three attacks for the monster's one.)
4. Is there a total list of "Owned Artifacts" available. I think I have everything, but unsure.
5. Elemental Enhancements should tally greater than the alotted 100%.
6. Maybe some door + keys? Just to keep thing interesting?
7. Achievements: "Dungeon Break" & "Hack and Stash (120 Damage Dealt)" Badges will not update, although I have obtained the "Warrior" & "Treasure Hunter" medals.
This said, still a great game!

Yes! A Floor Clearance Bonus could improve the game, because you always choose either not to fight the monsters or only the monsters you know you can one-hit. A Clearance Bonus would encourage players to take the risk of killing all for that little extra.

Tips if you're making a part 2 or sumthin u shuld add a clear bonus thats like + attack intelligence ect or random if you get everything on the level and kill every monster.

one suggestion- make battles turn-based, instead of a clickfest (of click-and-drag fest). other then that, awesome game, especially for a first try at flash. i like the way that each time you restart, you're a little stronger, thanks to the stat gems ;).

Ive played this game alot , this is the 2x time im playing it this time i havent died once really good game , they should make the eye artifacts passive and it could really do with a mute sounds button ;0

Good game but atm I'm completely stuck. Fought from something like level 19 to level 60 something then pressed the Save Game thing. Following that accidentally pressed New Game and now I'm unable to kill any monsters, but don't have enough gold/good artifacts to be able to beat the monsters on my level.

Really great game, simple and intuitive. Wouldn't think it would have much replay value but maybe I'll give it another go another time. 5/5

Great game! Would like to see bonuses for having matching armor, i.e. all wizard, all mithril, etc. Also needs to have monsters & enemies "miss" when defense is high enough.

Was great fun. All of the badges were pretty simple, and the 'twist' at the end wasn't that much at all (I was suspecting the merchant, I've played a few games with endings like that(, and truthfully, golems were nearly harder than the ending boss. Was fun although...I abused a glitch though, I got a group of chests/bags/stat-gems on the first floor after a shop, so I just massed up stats and yellow artifacts and winging out, but it all was cool.

A really nice game, and i think it's good that its not as difficult as nethack or rogue. I like the way you advance without accumulating experience points. 5/5
Magic is quite fruitless, if you use your escape wings once in a while, you'll have equipment so strong that battles never last longer than 3 rounds, and swings with your weapon will be nearly as effective. I won the game without quite grasping what the elemental attack is for, so perhaps that is a bit underpowered. The final battle is too easy.
Since the number of items sold is limited, perhaps selling and buying at the same time should give you a small discount. Hotkeys would be nice.

This is a great little game! I had fun playing it, and actually found myself wanting to go back to it throughout the day. It's definitely got that addictive factor. Being a pixel artist myself, I can appreciate the work that went into creating the animations, especially for the hero! I can only imagine how laborious that must have been, but it sure paid off in his smooth movement. Even though the game became less challenging as I progressed, it still took me several runs through the first 40 or so levels to gain the skills and artifacts to make it to the end, and by that point I was ready to kick some monster butt without too much trouble! Even so, the game was never a cake walk for me and I was forced to pay close attention to how many health potions I had left as they were (until the very end) a rare commodity. The end boss, while pretty easy to defeat, was still fun because of the twist ;-) Overall, a great game especially given the fact that it's the dev's first Flash game.

Should have auto sell when winging out on the first time I played this I had inventory full of stuff I wanted to sell and no potions and magic to heal and no chanse of getting like 5 more floors to the shop so I had to wing out...allso more potions from the chests and a biiiit faster walking so it would be faster to get the 300 levels cleared thing hmm... and maybe few mid bosses and some kind of forge equipment, but that can come on the "love to see" sequel really nice game in general 5/5 rare from me and favorited with is allso quite rare from me! Keep up the good work man!

great game! like gigyia said tho, pretty easy. I used wings 2 times in the first 30ish floors, and then ot the heal spell which changes eveything. I went from 3rd shop 2 bottom in 1 play... Tips: Find out which enemies you can 1 hit kill and use them to build up MP for heal spells. Ditch sheilds and use second hand knife for extra damage (for 1 hit kills) Ninja amulet helps alot too. (10% chance for insta kill) save big potions and ethers for last stage since it does not only enclude the boss but a few strong enemies too. + if this helped

at the point where youre starting at floor 79, and you have no money, youre relying on artifacts, (which mostly suck) you should be able to like start at like floor 20 or something, + if you agree

It needs an autosave on every level. >.< I hate how annoying it is to die and lose everything because you accidentally ran into something strong.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is how you play: You go down, you kill things, and you open chests. Monsters never give loot (or xp), so kill as few of them as possible. If your hitpoints are so low that you're not sure that you'll survive the next monster, and you're out of potions.. ***Use your escape wings.*** You'll have to go back a few levels, but you will keep ALL OF THE ARTIFACTS YOU HAVE ON YOU AND HAVE NOT SOLD.... This means you keep some of your awesome gear and can start your dungeon dive again a few levels back (I think at max 19 levels..) with all the artifacts you have now, and all of the stat gems you've picked up. This game is NOT designed to be won on a single dive into the dungeon. You may have a lucky streak and be able to delve deeply, but more then likely, you'll have to wing out at least once. It's just part of the game, go with it. :)
