I just sold my sword to buy a better sword and health potions...
Thanks to some bug, I'm now without a sword, 122 coins, 14 health, and some spare plate legs and gauntlets....

good medieval-age game,can we except for 'enchanted cave 2',with more weapons and damage,we need additional powers for that game,thanks to dustin aux,can you complete the wishes of the people?

Wow. To think that I ran through this whole game to fight a Big Bad Dragon or Monster or something of that type to find that the bane of my existence was the merchant all along...so that brings a greater question...why did he sell me that awesome sword and health potions on level 99...fate? Great game though seriously 5/5

T.T I had 11 potions in my inventory, and I started listening in on somebody talking outside my door, and I forgot to pay attention to my health.... died on floor 80sumthin and got reset all the way back to floor 19 T_T

This is truly well done game. I do have one request or question, rather. When you reach the Shop, a means to rest and rebuild your HP without having to use potions would have been helpful. I'm presently down to 45HP and there is only one left to buy. Not too helpful on that one point. Other than that, I have enjoyed this one.

ok when you can buy 5 large health potions in one shot [950 gold each] your VARY rich and unless you your careless you cant die btw large hp potions heal you for 500hp

The developer missed out on the chance to call the "Blizzard Mages" "Blizzard Wizards".
Hope the development of EC2 is going well, this is still to this day one of my favourite games on Kongregate.

Idea for your sequel:
Increase difficulty or offer levels of difficulty (these could unlock after defeating difficulty levels lower).
Invisible creatures!
Trapped treasures!
Cursed items!
Expanded magic
Ranged weapons (for creatures and player)
Disappearing chest and loot sacks

wow great game, just so hard... is there some way to save your game or heal yourself, or do you need to get to a boss-fight or something? just if it was more realistic, the hero could block attacks and just repetively strike. :P well really smooth animation and fun game! great work :D + if you agree

and one more thing in the harder levels some chests should have multiple items [colored blue or something like that perhaps?]

ok you find artifacts in gold chests but the escape wings are found in red normal chests yet the wings have the gold background just like an artifact

I think the Escape Wings should take you to the last shop you were at maybe even the next since this is a rare item. + if you agree.

I am surprised that the escape wings end the game in stead of going to the last shop you were at or maybe because its a rare item it would send you to the next.

It would be a good idea in the sequel if there were secrets in the levels, like a certain shop level that had a wall that you could go through and grab the inaccessible treasures, or to a bonus stage where the monsters dropped unusually high amounts of gold. Also, adding unlock-able modes (like endless or a how-many-levels-can-you-do-in-3-runs kind of thing) that are unlocked by achievements or beating the game would be nice. Finally, add a difficulty option (could be just easy/hard). All in all, just a few things that could be implemented to make an awesome game! :D P.S. Gave 5/5
Man I love secrets. The sequel will definitely have bunches of them. And I'll have a hardcore mode or something too for those wanting more of a challenge.

It's almost impossible not to lose, but it's so fun! Every time I start playing I don't quit for days! God, I feel like the more monsters I kill the better items I get, even if my health goes down super low. It's awesome! And addicting!
