cool game, i really dig it, only requests for next game are to either make potions and such more plentiful or cheaper, and to make it so that getting the heal spell and a decent weapon aren't such HUGE differences in how far you get. i've played thru a few times and once you find a 100 attack weapon u can pretty much burn thru the last 40 lvls no prob. possibly also some character class specialization, you have all this wizard stuff to increase MP, and thief things to increase AGI along w/ a offhand dagger, but no balance to the character if you dump your shield for lighter armor/faster hits. 4/5, awesome first game!

I really wish you were less likely to open artifacts you already have, I'm on level 19 with 3 goblin shields, 3 steel mage shoes and I still have to restart with my basic knife.

I'm so happy ^_^ I finally played all 100 floors without using a heal spell ^_^. I still dont know how people deal millions of damage...

Game is awesome. Wouldn't mind seeing a "tracking sheet" to see what artifacts you do have. Also wouldn't mind artifacts being... well... artifacts. Being overjoyed at having 3 artifact chests in one level only to have all 3 give the same item is a bit... discouraging. Of course this could make the game harder, but making artifact chests much more rare would add challenge and fun to the game as well.
Endless mode would be a bonus, scaling monster stats and bigger rooms.
Magic system needs improvement, hotkeying one or two spells would be great.
Wouldn't mind a little window that comes up when you hover over an item to see if it's better than what you already have equipped. You can't really drag items from shops over an equipped item to check stat changes like you can with items you already own.
Regardless. 5/5. Very nice in its simplicity.

It would be nice if you made it so that on the page where it tells you of all the gems you have gotten, it shows/tells you what each gem does.

dragonman131, the respawning on lower levels, along with items in yellow chests/spells, are only kept if you use the escape wings, and don't die.

love this game... (5/5 + fav) nice take on the rogue-like genre. Anyways, if anyone is complaining about no autosave, there is the shop save point system, but if you were playing a true rogue-like, there would be no artifacts, and if you died or ended the game, there would be NOTHING saved. So be happy that there is something instead of it being a true rogue-like. (For those who like the genre, then try Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup)

I think the money awards should have been increased by a factor of five. That would make them something to work at. Also, the boss was rather weak (and it was kind of low to put those enemies right in front of him. Is he scared of you or something?). I think every other issue was covered in other comments, and all around the game was playable. 4/5

Wow i feel dumb. I was on level 98 and was about to fight a monster. I started battleing him then realized that i started the battle with 8 hp...

Wow, seriously..?
I played a game straight from level 9 (second try). I was having a blast, because the game is actually pretty fun.
I died at floor 82, I had lots of awesome gear (artifacts and stats). Now I have to restart from floor 9 again (since I played without using wings since then), and all I have is the crummy gear I had when I started back then. My stats are gone as well.
Not cool mr.gamemaker-person-type... Not cool.

I would love it if there were a place where we could see all the possible artifacts you can get. Theres a decent level of difficulty until you get your first healing spell (which tends to be around level 30-40 for me). Until that point, managing HP is critical - though quite easy with a little luck (either good atk items, or hp potions).

Solid game. Only thing I could wish for was a warning when your health was reaching critical points...mostly because I wasn't paying attention :P

So, I use escape wings and all equipment I bought and found are gone now? So I should focus on health potions instead and try to find stat upgrades, right?

Managing your hp is the point of the game early on. When you run out, you need to use escape wings. You will begin the game again, but you will be more powerful (and thus get further on your second try). This is a fine mechanic if you think about it, so give it a chance before balking at it. Too bad the game gets easier as you go. Nevertheless, very well done!

Someone tell me why floor 100 was easier than the rest of the floors. I admit I died a few times but after I got to Floor 40 I never died again, almost like the game got easier as it went on. I really liked this game though, 5/5 and favorited.

Love this game! bad thing is just the fact that there are no hotkeys for magic spells and seriously, selling things is a major pain. however, i love that you can easily play this on a laptop though. I can't wait for a sequel xD
