I thought it was awesome. It mixed classic gameplay from several games I can think of, and made it more strategic. I love it

It makes me sad that Kong didn't keep my old save. I would have had all 4 badges and 65 points, but now it's a chore to get all badges. I'm disappointed.

If you tamper with the save files you can actually make your save "permanent", as if it were a real save file and not a save state. You can just save in-game, copy the save file to just outside its directory, and play again, and if you want to load just copy the back-up and paste it back into the directory of the main save (replace the other save) and refresh.
You can find the directory with the help of Danaroth's comment.

fun, but boss was a joke. Also, many of the foes looked like downgraded versions of a tougher monster (young ninja, baby dragon, ect.) but the full version never arrived. If you update the game, make the boss tougher and perhaps add a 'secret' cave that you unlock after you kill the merchant that has tougher foes... perhaps even ninjas and dragons.

I would love to be able to play this game but for some reason it won't let me click on anything on the menu. If anyone knows how to fix this problem, please leave me a shout or whisper about what to do.

liked this game a lot, as I love roguelikes. Varied backgrounds, enemies, and gear were excellent, music was good, and the graphics were about as complex as I'd like to see for a game like this. A few comments: Challenge - I didn't die once; only for the first 30 floors or so was it challenging to stay alive, and that was more hoping to find potions than the game being hard. I know luck is a huge aspect of roguelikes, but I think it could be improved. Magic - I didn't use a spell the entire game besides healing. There's no time to do so when I don't think a single battle lasted more than five rounds. Most were over in 3, Elemental defense - why give equipment elem. defense levels higher than 100 if they're just going to be capped? Inventory - selling things was tedious, instant selling via shift-clicking should be allowed. Another alternative would be assigning a junk category that auto-sells. Ending - boss was way too weak, and the game just hangs after killing him? Disappointing.

Eyes need a WAY better drop rate. I've played through a few times, and can't seem to get them all. I went straight through all 100 levels and didn't get one. Do they even drop after you beat the boss?

For some reason I can't get the hard badge. I've killed the final boss, gone to the medals screen afterwards, and killed the boss a second time. Why won't it give me my 30 points?!

Awesome game. Simple idea with the focus on addictive game-play... Something that much bigger developers can learn a lot from. well done sir!

at least a 4/5, its extroadinary how simple concepts can create a good game. I also wonder how they manage to get shopkeepers ahead of you.

You know, there's a big stretch between level 39 and level 50 or so where you can oneshot literally every opponent with your new gear. The Dragon Slayer in particular is very overpowered.

Use the amulet of efficiency to heal on the cheap (must use during battle though). Use it on a weak enemy. Also many people are complaining about magic being useless. Are you serious? Later in the game a magic hit is double a regular hit and it is very cheap...

Kanenfawder, if you're going to bring up Lufia II, at least get the name right, it's the Ancient Cave, and really while there are similarities, it has enough large differences that make it a totally different game.

aced the game! :D loved it actually
got all medals and badges
found it funny to teleport back to floor one after beating the boss and then just pwning my way through all 100 floors. got sick stats from it. hitting way over 600, never taking a hit from an enemy

challenge 2: i had more than 500hp in the floor 9 shop with no used potions, and i hadn't learned any spell in that time, and with a max hp lower than 575.

oooow.... you cant complete the whole without escaping or dying.... i came to floor 26.... anyone able to beat it? you cant escape or die....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wixmef, you can not risk much. use the escape wings if you think that you will die. i already was on floor 61 with 40-80 hp. the first new enemy i fight, i died and i restarted in floor 19 or 29.

i like many of the aspects of the game. my only suggestion would be to add levels to the character. so he gets experience for killing monsters. and every level would add a point or two to ones basic stats (strength, defence, intelligence, agility)
