Well, the random item dropping is quite annoying to say the least- but the game is still pretty good. Of course, if it was guaranteed what was in each chest, that would get boring and easy to the point of being hacked after 30 levels.
Certain items ought to be guaranteed every 10 or 20 levels though- stuff you really need.
If the items were made a little less frustrating, and the monsters made tougher to compensate, this could still be a perfect game. As is, 9/10

Wow, horrible difficulty curve O_o I went from repeating floors 19-35-ish, when I suddenly found heal. In the same game I found Heal, I completed the game. I went through 81 floors in 1 go. The only thing that I really feared was Golems (those buggers are strong as hell). This especially holds true when you find some of the strong swords, because instant-killing stuff = free mana = free heals = win.
Oh, and the final boss can be instant killed with an Assassin amulet you can buy on floor 99, and possibly the thief amulet as well. Kind of a turn-off finally reaching the big bad, preparing to fight this epic bastard, making sure to have full health and mana, before engaging him, holding your breath and and keeping ready with your healing spells... and then curb stomping him in 1 hit. I was still staring blankly at the screen when it returned to the starting screen, unable to think anything but "what the **** just happened?"

Badge without defeating the boss on floor 100 ONCE.

This time, when I started a new quest, my guy had 22 removed from his HP (not his maximum HP) before I fought ANY monsters. Fix this.

When the player dies and starts a new quest, he should get a free 100 coins, a free Small Health Potion, a free Small Ether and a free Ivory Ring so he or she doesn't easily die on the first monster.

lol got two eyes and a broadsword (special item that you can keep forever) on the very first floor (not the shop floor) on a brand new game...Sweet

I've played this before but for some reason it refuses to let me interact with the title menu buttons now. Any ideas? I have the latest flash player version, so I don't think it's that.

The sprite for the character should change, depending on what equipment he has. Like, say... he has a Silver Helmet, an Ancient Golden Armor, Barbarian Gloves, a Bronze Shield, Assassin's Plate Legs, Magma Boots, I would imagine him wearing a silver helmet, golden chest armor, brown gloves, with an orange shield, purple leg plates, and dark red boots.

There should be an arena where players can fight other players in the middle of a ring thing, chat with each other, trade items and gold, etc. + if you think this is a good idea.

Also, always take the path of least resistance (monsters that you can one shot are best, but low hitting ones are ok too. The worst ones to choose are like dragons and golems, who hit 50+s and have tons of hp

lol got 100 floors on first try. Don't buy equips unless you really need them, like if your gear is incredibly underleveled and crappy. Don't use offhand blades, always shields, and have a balanced elemental defense. Spend all gold on hp pots, and buy out the largest ones first, as they are most efficient. As long has you have a health supply, it goes really smoothly :)

Selling all the junk is quite a chore. I could do well without the confirmation for selling items. Just drag it on the sell and sold. Or auto-sell all that crap.
Regarding that game I am looking for: It was a DOS (maybe Windows?) Freeware game. Nothing fancy from a company. It is not Mystic Towers. ;)

@runforit This game is so awesome! I don't play games when I completed them but this game?! you must need to go to the game doctor dude.

there's a trick for this game, to enjoy it and play much much longer. if you sell you old crap and keep the new (artefact's) spend the money on some sowrds and just a few clothes unlest you have artefact's for them. so baseicly. you'll get higher every time, you might get in a bad situation so use the wings. if you read the message somewhere, its every 4 or higher room you'll get 'wings of escape' (or what ever its called if i got it wrong)
P.S. so so so sorry for my terrible grammar, i tried the auto correct thing some times

I died on the 3rd floor on my first try. I got to the 17th on my second. Addictive game. You don't need high quality or graphics to play a game, you just need something that is simple enough to understand. 5/5

level 98... attack 312, defense 384, magic or whatever 34, agility/speed 41. Got 12500 gold, the best equipment with the 20 percent instant kill chance, 5 500 potions, 7 300 potions, and i got enough mana to do the 400 heal twice in a row without mana. last enemy is a golum/rock beast in a one way hall towards the stairs... Got 300-ish health but no big deal, it will hit me 60-ish twice, i'll survive this and replenish everything later. BAM. it hits 160 twice, GAME OVER... Clicked start new game, got me to level 79 with 640 gold and all of my gold items just in case i die was gone. I am pretty much screwed since now all my stats are reduced to 1/5th of what I was at level 79 before i died... The lesson... heck i dont know, the gollum got super lucky i guess

What u need to complete the game is 10k gold, and keep buying better equips.
And I thought the boss gonna be a dragon or 3-head hydra with 10,000 HP, guess what it's just a weak boss. Stock 20 reg. health potions, and u'll be enough for whole game.
If Game Over, u will go back to lvl. 1, but u keep all gold and artifacts.
Great game, but ending too easy, and i keep getting same junks in the treasure chest :(

After about the 30th or 40th level, the game became extremely easy, no escape wings needed, just decisive about what monsters were worth facing for chests and what was the easiest path to the stairs. Healing spells only.

It's a game that can be a bit frustating at the begging, but when you pass the floor 20 it gets easier and more enjoyable.
I reccomend this game is very good :)
