I found the last magic spell for me (air strike) on my 2nd run on the 38th floor and the last eye on my 2nd run on the 58th floor.Damn that sneaky fire eye.

Just one more thing: Years ago I played a game similar to this one, with automated fights. No, not the Ancient Cave of Lufia 2. It was a DOS game, no Flash. I think it had "Tower" or "Mage" in its title. But it wasn't Mage Tower, I just googled that and it's something else. If anyone knows what game I am talking about, please tell me. I would love to play that game, again!

***SPOILERS FOLLOW FOR ENTIRE GAME, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!*** Buying equipment other than potions is a waste. You will find everything else. The further you get, the less items there are. I got the Golden Boots a dozen times, for instance. Once you get that sword that is twice as powerful as any other you've seen, there is no use in thinking about what weapon causes the most elemental damage. And I even got that one twice. Worst of all, on the later floors you find a lot of wind defense items...but there are never any monsters that attack with wind! Except for the boss. So, yeah, all that stuff is specifically for the boss. I suspected this at around level 90, when there was ONE additional monster introduced and that's it.

I LOVED the Lufia 2 Ancient Cave. I spent more time in there than outside, although I finished the game at least three times. I would love more games that use this concept, which was taken from Nethack, I suppose. That said, this game is fun until the half-way point, then it utterly falls apart. By then it shows that it isn't well-balanced, at all. It's far too easy. And it becomes ever more obvious that the developer ran out of steam. I deliberately died (well, sort of...I took a gamble :D) to make it more challenging and still got through with the next run. I will spoiler the next shout and vote it down, you can vote it further down, then you have the option to hide it properly. Although I would have been happy if someone told me the first part of that spoiler, in retrospect...

I can't find any place on the shop interface that tells me how much money I have to spend. I have searched and searched, but can't find it. The window is so small, do I need a magnifying glass to see it?

is it just me or did the monsters seem to get less intimidating, first it was skeletons and goblins, then i was fighting frogs and birds

I just had the weirdest run ever... I honest to goodness went through an entire floor, got all 5 red chests, and they all had work boots in them. And even though I went pretty high, probably 30 floors... I didn't get escape wings ):

This game was reuploaded? I remeber playing this before, all badges now are gone and the game seems somehow upgraded.

I think the game might be better if the individual battles were more drawn out. It would make all the stats a lot more valuable. When it takes 1–3 hits to kill a monster, there's so much overkill that attack, agility, defence, etc., can become almost worthless.
(If you do draw out the battles, do make them faster......)

Wwednesday, this is no bug is part of the gameplay, you should use escape wings alot to UP your money and rare ekips and stats of course 1-19/9-29-19-39....

SkullxKing does it right. I'm doing it that way to but remember to use your escape wings after 50 or more finished stages. You'll be on the safe side then when u die.
Else u start without any artifacts u gathered at a stage where u can't beat a single monster from full health...

I've got some very simple tips!
1) Always go for treasure box's, artifacts and regular items.
2) Ignore money bags that are gaurded. We don't want to lose life for 10 coins.
3) Avoid battles unless you're sure you can kill them in one hit. Killing one hit monsters are good for building gold.
4) Stock up on health potions
5) Sell extra artifacts, but never sell artifacts that you only have one of. Say you have a weapon that's stronger than your artifact weapon. If you sell the artifact weapon, you'll start over later with a dagger. :(
6) Feel free to replace artifacts with stronger regular items. Artifacts are really just good starter equipment.
7) ENJOY IT :DD

Wow this game has a bug :/
If u reach a level 80 from the first run on and die there u will start at level 79 or 69 with low equipment and no chance to ever kill a single monster again :(

After I close the shop at level 49, it says I have made it halfway, but from the looks of me, I wont make it further... how do I get past it

Very nice game ! (5/5 by me) I think adding the spells to 1-5 would have been a good idea. Dodge rating would be also a nice improvement imo, or/and HP MP steal on hit weapons
Big gz on making this one !

Just beaten the game :) Amazing work! A lot of fun, reminds me of the old Dungeons and Dragons game we had on the computers at school.

I have encountered a glitch. When I sell a whole bunch of my gear that I don't need, and then buy a health potion, I pay for the health potion but I receive some of the gear I sold! It is so frustrating!

If you try too hard to progress when you're not appropriately geared, funded or stat-boosted, you may find yourself stuck starting at a floor where you consistently die within a floor or two before you can find the wings. I'm in a dead end situation unless I wipe my save state. :X

um question if the wings let you leave with money and artifacts then why did someone leave them there in a chest and why not bring the weapons?

Man, this game is addictive. It's always a struggle whether to plan ahead for the next run or go for broke and try to dive as deeply as possible. Very fun!
