this game may be "cookie cutter" like some people say. but it doenst change the fact that its got some new things, a new style, and it's amazingly fun

Good game, fun and challengeing. People should stop complaining about the death restart thing. For me the goal isn't to complete the game, but to see how far you can get. Also the point upgrade isn't useless at all, when going for 1.000.000 points it's really handy.

Although I rated this game 4/5, I think that those who downrated Piros12 for his comment deserve 1/5. I think that you kongers should be a lot more strict at giving games high ratings. Stuff like this allows the apperarance of garbage games like most of mmo games on this site.

Hints:Many achievements are easier if you stay in the low levels.Pixels upgrade is useless,only makes you level up easier what means more trouble in less time.Get all bronze before silvers, and silvers before gold(in special the master of someting) and gold before platinium.Is better have the piercing to better fight vessel.And pick multishot before faster shot.

Good game, would prefer it broken up into levels. Also, I had trouble keeping track of skill points while the game was going on, but that could just be me.
Definitely a 5/5 though.

hmm... piercing shot doesnt seem to work... with max you would expect atleast 1 shot to get past the XL enemys...maybe i just have horrible luck making that 20% into 0%...still made it to 15 that round :P

For the Marksman achievement:
Basically find a Vessel, and aim at it. I got the achievement by pure luck while holding down the mouse button.
For the 1mil+ or 1000combo+ achievement:
Get all gold achievements first, then start a game but DON'T MOVE. Level Fire Spread up to level 4, then put your remaining points in Rapid Fire. The essential thing here is not to move and not to level up. Enemies grow increasingly harder and faster the more you level up.
If you see a shield nearby, you can grab it for extra security but you'll probably level up in the progress. Only grab the shield if it is very nearby. Try to shoot the enemies as soon as possible so they won't "throw" experience at you.
This is an easy way to get the 1000+ combo (got it before I was level 5 and then went on to a 1500+ combo) and 1mil+ (Got 3mil and died at level 12).

Dying and restarting the game are typical for an arcade style game like this, but when you incorporate a level system, some sort of checkpoint system is also needed.

This game was good at first. No glitches, good controls and handling. Even the starting over when dying was ok at first. But after I got further into the game, having to start over everytime you die made this game shit. A good idea might be to have a scored mode, where you have to restart everytime, and a free mode, where you just lose a level if you die. Or possibly incorporate a life system, where you can pick up 1ups and not have to restart the entire game.

DAMNIT! I hit the right mouse button and of course a menu pops up but what really sucks is that you get stuck for about 3secs when that happens and you can't move. I don't know if you can fix that or not but if you do that would be great. Enjoy the game.

By the way, guys. Marksman's not that hard. I got it on accident while trying to get hardcore - I wasn't able to kill the whatsitcalleds that spawn mines, and as a result pretty much everywhere I shot I hit a mine. haha

It is an amazing game. It is an arcade classic style game, which makes it funner for us folks that judge a mans worth by what score they can achieve while playing a videogame. Only way I could enjoy this game more is if it had a collective high score.

I agree with Ancient Memories: The marksman trophies are ludicrously hard to get and an upgrade to damage and armor would be nice. I'd also like some kind of checkpoint system because dying and having to start COMPLETELY over sucks, although it's possible making the marksman trophies ( and thus the starting bonus points) easier to get could alleviate that. Also, you might consider adding a nuke to the upggrades, something that clears the screen or does a lot of damage in a wide area, but each one costs 1 more than the last. It gives the heavy players something to spend points on when they have all the upgrades.

A little guide for people who want all the trophies: I advise to get all silver and bronze trophies (including Balanced Soldier, Marksman, Turret Master and Minesweeper) before doing anything gold or platinum (except hardcore). HARDCORE - just survive, powerups are your friends; CHAIN - stand in the middle, max out extra shots and speed, AVOID LEVELING UP, grab a shield as a safety net; SCORE - same as chain (some levels in extra score can help); TERMINATOR - play normally (avoid pixel upgrades) or same as chain; DODGE - don't shoot anything, dodge; LEVEL - play normally (this time pixel upgrades can help get levels faster); SKILL MASTER - start game, pick a skill, get some levels, upgrade skill to max, repeat; SLAYER - Vessel King is the last to appear and needs a high level, play normally (once again, avoid pixel upgrades and grab powerups whenever possible - they help ALOT). Hope it helps.

Great game! Needs Badges, A Save system(everytime you lvl up it autosaves) And also maybe make a sequel With more upgrades and what not :) 5/5 ...also maybe make the later lvls i little more balanced gameplay.

The scoring system needs some tweaks. Since score is based on kills and difficulty is based on levels, it can be easily abused by not leveling up. It also makes the pixel/magnet upgrades a detriment early on.

Very solid execution; however, in the later levels survival tends more towards luck than skill. Item drops are the only way to survive, and adding a "luck" upgrade would greatly serve the survival strategy. A few minor tweaks could make the 'good' replay value really 'great'!

Now this is what an action game really is. I like it, but the problem is: i suck at it. Wish I didn't have to start back everytime I get the game over screen.

I really liked the game, but...
A few things felt frustrating to me.
The chain kill trophies were almost ridiculously more difficult than any of the other trophies. Even specifically trying to get them, and basing all my upgrades around them, i got the first two quite easily, and then ended up getting every single other trophy, (Except the unlock all gold, unlock all platinum, unlock all trophies ones) before i even got gold in the chain trophies. That doesn't seem balanced to me.
Also, it would have been nice if there were some more upgrade options, or some base traits that upgraded automatically when you leveled, like damage, health and speed. Then i would've wanted to be able to upgrade how much each creature's attack hurt me too.
