5 minutes later and Im still no where near making anything. what a spiteful and nasty badge of the day! I can live without it so nope, didnt like and relegated to the same avoid like the plague pile as idle games. If you want to have more flexibility and a wider choice then try downloading octamed sound studio or sound forge.

Heads up, Free mode doesn't get achievements (or at least the first one). If you're having trouble with the BotD, switch to story (the only way I've found to switch modes was to make a new band).

This game isn't perfect, but I really like how much love the developers poured into it. The music is fantastic, and the animations match it well. It's cool that you can write your own music, and it's cool that you can look at the tabs to learn how to play the songs in real life. After five years, I don't know if they're really going to make a sequel, but I sure hope they do.

This is a annoying as hell game, The annoying bit at the beginning. The annoying background music when not playing that you can't seem to turn off. And most of all, the game seems to expect you to already be a musician! It's talking about music stuff I got no friggin clue on, and I can't hear what I am doing so I have to go by reading music, which I can't do! This game is so unintuitive for those who don't know the technical side of music.

For the BotD I have to get a good rating in any song. Except first I have to write a song with no real tutorial and absolutely no examples to work from. Great.

I wish there were such complex music games with actual music. I'm always surprised how many people appear to like that genre. It's so terrible, I can hardly survive the background music.

It wants me to write a song and play it but complains about the song not being long enough only after I've practised it? I just want one song to play at the garage and Ive already wasted so much time looking for minimum length? :/

If you are having problems going for the badges - like I have had for years because I had chosen free play, which I didn't know - click the change band button in the upper left on the studio screen, make a new band and choose story mode. And then follow the top commenter's advice.
