Am I missing something? I've beaten the game and every side quest only to cap at lvl 12? Why are there in game abilities you never actually have access to?

@Fig Hunter: the fact that it isn't fair to compare them won't stop people. I for one remember the ratings war between Sonny and Gemcraft. I don't even think they belong in the same category.
@14569: I think Wings of Genesis is the sequel. I checked here (the sponsor for Wings), and I checked Armor (the sponsor for this one), but those two are all there is.

@ Deathcommander: Hm... I don't think it's really fair to compare them. MARDEK is a very typical, standard RPG in terms of gameplay, while Genesis focuses on new, "exciting" features and a tactical RPG system. I also feel that MARDEK has a better storyline (the dialogue in Genesis has a tendency to feel kind of stilted or awkward, especially at the beginning). Is there really a need for "competition", though? They're both very good, and Pseudolonewolf doesn't care much about the whole "competition" thing (except for Sonny, though for more specific reasons).

Ugh, I cannot beat Cerberus for the life of me! I'm even using the walkthrough's strategy, but it doesn't work at all! Cerberus just rips Nera to shreds since he can attack twice. T_T

if you have trouble beating reciful, you not supposed to beat him, so don't press restart if you think your going to lose, unless you want to miss out on the most powerful spell in the game

you should do the sidequests first, after doing it enter the battle, try to summon the tarots that can soulburst attack, stay out of enemies range. next turn soul burst all tarot and you win:D

I am very confused. I might come back agian. But i started and honestly, the story nor the two part layered combat turn made any sence to me.

protip: remeber that allies SHARE THE SAME ENERGY POOL, so if you have a ally that's not effective in combat but generates alot of energy, protect them so they can support others

Very good game. But honestly, in a point forward, it get ridiculously hard. The Shadow Maste, to name one, is just unateble: There we have aq boss who manages to be more resilent the Armlus, and is able to 1-hit Ko any of your party menbers, with a decent range, and versions twice more powerfull of your team Oh, and they are all mmune to physicall attacks.

Its almost really good. A little less cliche and trope, and a little more depth and this would be awesome. Why is there no guard button?
