Really bad AI. When playing on hard in the Arena, opponents would regularly skip the first one or two turns.... It just wasn't in any way challenging...

Opponent AI in arena battles is really weak. On normal they often keep casting only spells (and do not accomplish anything with them, like casting meditate having 7-10mana of all types or rage having no creatures) while I summon 4-5 creatures into battlefield.

I absolutely love this game and have so for a while, but some things need balancing (priest of fire is too strong for example) and a couple of things feel justified but hacky (Why is a marching stone a creature for some effect like healing but not for another like sacrificing). Keep it up!
Marching Stones are immune to spells so no spell can destroy them.
Also you can feel some cards strong but only if they became knowingly or unknowingly the part of your strategy that works.

figured it out. I just had to constantly use the lvl 2 earth spell on my golem to keep it's health up, as well as my own, and then I used the lvl 6 fire spell and the lvl 8 air spell when they became available

Is there a specific rule whereby Wall's cannot have attack/can attack? Because placing a orc cheiftain next to a wall does not give it the 2 attack bonus nor the ability to attack. Clearly list if the wall can attack please.

This could use a speed-up button,. it's feeling a little slow at times.
And maybe add a colored +x icon if summoning a card increases your power generation. The topleft corner seems to be unused at this time.

I'm having a tough time killing the air lord with the golemmaster, her air spirits are destroying it and my life, which also takes my life.

Just logged onto this and got all the achievements for free !? Does it share saves with other versions of Spectromancer?

Choosing a Wizard Type for a New Player may be worthwhile if I knew what any of these terms meant.... Maybe find a way to tell me???

Love the game! Problem though, while I accept that you don't get to pick your own cards in the campaign before a battle, I don't like that the game gives me the same card multiple times in the same battle. Playing with two Natural Fury cards right now. I also don't have four Air cards...so effectively I have 18 cards in my 20 card deck.

Yo dawg, we heard you like card games, so we put a card challenge in your card game so you can get card while you play cards.

Btw, what I meant by sidequests are like challenge battles where it is optional, and winning it would reward the players with something extra special. But of course, challenges would be tricky and would require players to find a way to beat the opponent, against all odds.

How is this different from the other spectromancer game, that's already on this site and already badged? Same game mechanics, same campaign, same 'cards', everything is identical.

love this game. 4 cards of each type, so you can pick a decent deck without chosing between 350+++ cards and then getting them randomly 10/5

Wow, this is quite entertaining in a way. Simple to pick up and play, easy to understand. Keep up the good work.
If you want a suggestion, I think you can make the storyline more interactive. For example, conversations with voice overs, side quests, etc. But I think it's okay as it is. Maybe the BGM can be improved slightly, as I've noticed that the loop that cuts off is kind of noticeable.

Very nice card battle game! I hesitate to call it a CCG because a) you don't really collect cards (the deck is given or chosen) and b) you don't get dealt a random hand from your deck, but rather play from resources. The way your cards and resources are laid out makes it very easy to see your tactical options. The other way this isn't your typical Kongregate CCG is that it has no energy bars. Instead, it is monetized by selling a proper multiplayer version for ~$20/16€/£14. Every card game should be like this, so show your support!

I like this game very much, it is a great piece of work- but I'm confused about the storyline... Who was I in the end?!
Because most of people rush to campaign, and Arena is completely a different scenario. This game have 5-6 modes of play and a very vast game. I hope people will understand this and will play Arena to gain the medium badge too.
Thanks for your comment.

i know its kinda sad to say, but im playing on easy mode to get the hang of the game and the lord of air campaign match is impossible to win using a golem mage. the only instant kill ability takes too long to use. the methods to heal the golem or myself are drained too quickly. and if i get 3 or more creatures i have to spend every round healing or im doomed.
I liked the earlier matchs. had fun, kicked some butt and won by a single point. but then i end up getting roflstomped. cant say i like a game where the easy mode (usually the "teaching" or "fun" mode) is making me ready to never come back to the site.
There are some strategies which make this battle very easy. Though the mode is easy but the initial cards of Lord of Air require some special moves. Just casting meditation and then using Armageddon and Stone Rain.

I had problems with a bug with the chrono engine. I played a dragon as first card my turn, and then the game froze when it was time to play my second of the turn. It wouldn't let me cast anything, but also not skip the turn, had to restart.
Fantastic game though!

I am sure this game is going to recieve a lot of complains about card balance, however the special ability of each card is truly unique, making this game one of the most fun and enjoyable CCGs in this site! 5/5

I like card games a lot, and I find this one quite interesting, polished and all... Only con is the tutorial, which is only a page of videos.
It would be really perfect if these tutorials were directly ingame and seamlessly teaching a new player how to...
Otherwise, big up

I just summoned Dark Sculptor with 5 creatures on board and nothing happens.I doesn't deals its damge and the battle turn doesn't starts. The game isn't frozen because the hover still works.
Can you provide me a screen shot. I have been reported this 3 time, But I am not able to simulate this condition. Already spend hours on it.
If you can provide me the screen shot, It will be really a big help for me.

When I first saw this appearing on kong I thought: oh noes, looks like another mmo that looks like it'll get badges.
And I didn't even try to look at it.
Then I saw it getting badges and thought: oh f*ck, not another crappy mmo to go through for badges!
Then I started it and saw Multiplayer Version and then Singleplayer. And I saw the badge can be done in Singleplayer. And I was YAY!
And also non profit. That is more than yay!

Anyone else love simply filling every single piece on the playing field with a priest of fire and getting to spam flame wave every turn?

So I'm playing the campaign and all of a sudden YOU GOT AN ACHIEVEMENT and I'm like "I didn't even see a list of achievements..."

This game is surprisingly easy. The "very hard" appears to just be a smarter AI. I started on very hard mode and am playing through the arena mode fairly easily, even at midnight while half asleep. It's a fun game, but the simplicity gets to the point that if you're skilled enough, it's the choices of which creatures and spells you have in the deck that matter, not the actual game play.
Because of many request for making the game easy I made a bit easy.
Today I felt that it really become very easy. I updated the version for making very hard and hard modes a bit challenging.
