I like the idea of the game, and the execution is pretty good, but the beat is not always properly synchronised - you have to press the key just before the beat. As a musician I can do this fine since with large ensembles you have to anticipate the beat or your sound reaches the audience late, but this flaw could defeat a lot of people with a good sense of rhythm but no orchestral experience.

So let me first say that I really do love this game. As a musician, I find that this slightly more mathematical approach to rhythm to be very interesting (and quite brilliant). I like the level of challenge and love the music. As a music instructor, I would very much like to use this game as a method of helping students learn and comprehend rhythm in a way that is fun. The only thing that I wish is that the rhythm was musically notated. Overall the game is fantastic.

This is seriously 100% or bust on every song? And you need to restart the entire thing over again if you fail... man I am unmotivated to keep practicing, especially with intros like "wub wub wub for 30 seconds and then we'll see if you can actually move"

I have played 3-X so many times, that I can play up to 80% without looking at the screen. Meanwhile, my record is 86%.

Would be nice if this game had checkpoints. Failing so often at the rotation in 2-X and everytime have to do half of the level again. When you restart from a checkpoint you could also do the timer and fade in the music while it runs down.

I really hate that you have to start clicking on 1... If you wait till 1 is gone on the screen your just too late... And having to click on 1 makes me feel rushed...

I agree with Polored; we should be able to hear the full song. It's too frustrating to have to start over and over again because you don't know what the song is supposed to sound like after a certain point. This IS a rhythm-based game, is it not?

I think it would be great to be able to speed up the tutorial stages, because it's so annoying to go through long straight line just to fail on the first corner

Do you know why is the 3-x hard? because is out of sync, it s completely strange when you re in tempo and this isn't.. especially when you re a musician and you feel this, i think it s easier without music

3X has the worse case of "trick beats". It has the fast beats. It has the drums doing 2 beats when you should only do one. I've tried playing the level muted, it didn't help. I tried playing it blind, the trick beats always screw me. It's the way the music is played that distracts me. Not the background effects, the song is the distraction.

The offbeat is at 0 completely for me, however i feel like the songs either feel off sync or the way the instruments are played distracts or tricks me in the beats. Especially 2-X, where you beat to the piano and then beats start playing that AREN'T part of the line.

Or maybe a level editor, where you can add an mp3, make your own map and configure the beat? That would be badass. (Again, might be impossible.) And also, I'm sorry if I look spammy. If there was an edit button on the comments I would have used that. :(

I know this is probably impossible... But I'm just going to suggest it either way. If you know Vib Ribbon, you know it has an option to add any song and it will generate a level for you for that song. Is that possible here? (Again, it probably isn't, but could you imagine?)

Bah, beat 3x after about 50 tries, and then got to 96% on 1.1x speed immediately after. The game is great, sometimes it feels a bit off but most o the time its great.
