Oi, just want to say what everyone else is already saying- the black screen business get's /really/ old, really fast. I seriously hope the dev can/will fix this. (Also mechanically, kinda agreeing with people saying it gets rather tedious, in all honesty.)
But I will give a few tips for others... Upgrade militia and outpost guns first. Try to keep a big pool of engineers [and citizens] for the income in the team. Spending them only a few at a time on upgrades (accountant and factory upgrades are highest priorities with them.) Consider getting the damage upgrades and influence downgrades first with your rangers and captains.

I hate that the mouse drifting off of a survivor cancels your action. Why the hell does it need to take time anyway? If it does, then don't make it so punishing to have to keep the mouse on the person when the camera moves around so much.

cleared the 4th area. Have ludicrous amounts of money from grinding. can't get a soldier to spawn, so i can't install a gun on my tower, so i can't progress the game. The people requirements for upgrades seemed like a good idea, but when it can enforce grinding for a low chance random drop, it's terrible.

Yeah, the black screen thing seriously happens, eh, I'd say with about 20% frequency, so 20% of the time that I try to go into a new level or I fail a current level the thing freezes up on a black screen and I have to refresh. Oh, and guys, there is a melee weapon, it just takes forever to get it as it comes from the second last inspector guy. However it's the only melee weapon, and I'd say the reason it's so far down is A) it hits like a truck, and B) you get 250% reward, same as for standard melee kills, so after you get it money quickly becomes no longer an object. I've always thought using reward percentages as an incentive to use lighter weapons was always a silly idea, and that's an example of why.

I was incredibly relieved when I realized that I don't need to 100% the game to get all the badges, because there's no way I'm gonna try to find enough soldiers to max all the outposts and militia squads. As for the factory thing, the fact that engineers earn you 150 coins per day just by being in your party makes it way better than spending them on factory upgrades (which will also up the threat growth per day).

This game constantly crashes when entering or losing a mission, also this system where you have to gather population to upgrade stuff is slowing the pace of the game down

When I saw the game picture, I thought it was a zombie game, is it a zombie game though? Sorry for asking, I haven't played it yet. I typed this while it is loading. Lol I don't care if you guys spoil me about the game so go ahead and tell what this game is all about. :D

Lurking Horror, it is server-side, but only on AG (where it was released almost a year before it was released on Kong).

I still really enjoy the Decision series, but here those black screens (especially towards the end of the game for me) bring down 5 stars to 4.

I really like the gameplay....but there are too less differences to Decision2 and Decision Medieval. And after playing 30% of the game some main things are such repetitive..
