I just got to the 300 mil, after about 3 hours.
Zero nukes used.
My trick is: shoot at a 45 degree angle, and let the turtle bounce, as soon as it stops leaving the screen hit it with the golden gun, repeat.
When hit by a bigbird (sending it to space but lowering speed) hit the rocket.
When you get down low, use WASD to try to get helpers and extra bullets, if you get extra bullets, just do what I just said.

@ h00dster, at first you just want to shoot as far as possible to gain money, in order to buy the better canons, guns jetpacks etc. If you get the better canons you will automatically shoot further and will easily get the 1000 $ achievement.

How can he survive he's been shot by a Sling Shot, Revolver, Desert Eagle, Uzi, Ak-47, Pump Shotgun, Automatic Shotgun, Sniper Rifle, Bazooka, and the worst of all the Golden Gun and the tanks he has been shot out of are the Big Cannon, Super Cannon, Golden Cannon, and Tank please someone that is related to a turtle tell me!

why does it always seem that you stop right before you are about to collide with a truckload of launchers? once i ran out of speed, standing right in front of a banana, an army jeep closing the distance behind me, and a chainsaw visible at the end of the screen! and it was sooooo close to a record launch! WHY?!?!?

i really don't get enough money :P even though my turtle ALWAYS goes out of space or somthing
oh yea there is a good way how to get VERY high for your turtle...have a jet pack or rock (both work) then get a nuke when your ready use your pack (rock or jet) then start the nuke the nuke will blow up and with the jet pack on for me i got about 430 over out of space and got me a meadl :P i don't care if you thumbs up or down
