To go 3mil plus: Launch him at full power about 30 degree's. Use your golden gun shots or your jetpack when the bounce doesn't take him back to above the top of the screen, then shoot/use your missile. If you get lucky you'll get an ammo upgrade and can shoot him the whole way, just be sparing with bullets, otherwise resort to nuke-spamming and patience. Make sure to have one of those items that saves you from death, too, to increase your chances.
Takes a couple of tries, but it's not too hard.

Zurax may be right, but the first 20 minutes is too boring for me to get past. Not enough early incentive to keep playing.

Good Game, But still with full upgrades and 65 nukes, I only got around 2.2 million feet, but i hit spikes with about 20 nukes left
