just dont forget the bomb strap if you are trying to get the 3 mil... those spikes will ruin it.. just ruined a 2.8mil and if i would have bought the 2000 dollar bomb i would have made it!!!!!!

Finally got 3m (died on a spike at 3.2m...).
My tactic: Golden Gun + Tank + Missile.
A perfect 45 deg + 100% will get you 750 ft in the air. When altitude starts dropping, fire the missile.
Now get ready to gun. My trick was to wait 3-4 bounces, until the turtle slowed down (in middle of screen). Then shoot turtle on descent (lower half of screen). He immediately hits full speed (far right side) and altitude. With this approach, you get ~250k-300k per gun shot. 10 bullets, plus initial cannon/missile will get you to 3m. Use nukes if you need to, but at low speeds you're more likely to hit the spikes. Took 3 tries with this tactic to get 3m. Just a matter of not hitting a spike (luck). Happy cannoning!

I finally did it. I got the 3,000,000 feet badge. What you will need is the Golden Gun, the Tank, and about 50 nukes, along with the Chest Bomb, just in case. Also it's good to get the achievements in the game that will make the cannon more powerful, so you will have to play for at least 2 hours. When trying to get the 3,000,000 feet, you want to go as fast as possible and maintain a steady speed the whole time. The faster you go, the less chance you have of hitting one of the spikes that stops you midair, or the alien ship that abducts you. So launch the turtle with the Tank and because you have to make 10 rounds of the Golden Gun last 3 million feet, shoot the turtle once every 300,000 feet and then nuke the turtle until you reach the next distance. The turtle will be going so fast that it won't hit anything.

... the golden gun, the tank, a chestbomb, a missile and 80 nukes. but no. i got killed by a "bloody end" thingy >.< + this if you've been throught the same thing, and you're annoyed because of that.

Also, as an addition to my previous comment, in the medals section, it says "gotta collect 'em all", a pokemon reference. Also, the birds you hit while in the air sometimes look like pellipers, from pokemon 3rd generation+

Gaiz, I think the turtle is supposed to look like squirtle. You know, the helpers are "loosely" (I used the word "loosely" very loosely, ironically enough) Based on the super mario series. I s'pose it could also be a koopa, but what the heck, squirtle's good enough for me.
