Basically what gets you to the end is the gold gun... and luck
What you do is shoot the cannon, and every 200k feet shoot the gold gun. This is what gets you further horizontally (usually another 200-250k).
Now, do not wait until you are near the ground before using nukes. Nukes do not get you further much, but is very good at keeping you up in the air. This is very important if you want to avoid all those bloody spike balloons/UFOs. So just keep nuking while you are in space. around 1mil feet, you will have 5 bullets left. now is where luck comes in and you need to find some bullets. If you do find bullets (you get 5), then you've basically won, as the 10 bullets will get you 2mil more feet. And keep the rocket booster as a backup. good luck! took me 10+ tries before i made it there without being impaled or abducted...
