Enemy ships "locked" in melee should *not* travel backwards to stay in melee. Remove this retarded behavior from the game and it'd be much funner and fairer.

Yes, I'm a girl and I'm really interested in meeting up with a guy I've never seen before in my entire life.
Oh, crap, I wasn't going to post that at all. I was planning to say something entirely different. Any way, the best thing to do is to battle *all* pirates in hand-to-hand combat until like level 10 (you can beat them all without losing) and keep upgrading your pirates to the maximum. After that, other upgrades. All you have to do in the game itself is to fire one shot at the enemy up from level 3 and you'll gain big bonuses (1000 per level, so don't do this on level 1 and 2, saving ammo grants 2500). From that point on, I'm lost, it takes a full hour to tear down one ship and I'm really not comfortable with the fact that they come down so fast. But at least this is where I maximized my gold and could upgrade to the maximum.

The badge was pretty tough and I had to restart my save file so I could max all the upgrades (and even then it was far from a cakewalk). For the early levels max pirates and fire some cannons when you are boarding other ships for accuracy bonuses (pirates only works until level 10 maybe?). Make sure you max all skills for the 12th level to increase your chances for the hard badge.

I love the concept of the game but, this game needs more features.
More upgrades, different types of ships, the ability to have more than one friendly ship and multiplayer would be great! 4/5

lots of fun. needs music, multiplayer would bring it to the next level. otherwise lots of fun. needs more max pirate upgrades and more cannon upgrades.

Good lord, man! WTF is this!? I beat 1-9 in one try but when I got to level 10, it took me four tries! And I've yet to beat level 11!!

it needs different kinds of cannon balls like stun or extra explosef and some kind of a decoy u could put out so the ships attack that while ur shooting at them

i enjoyed this game,
Pro: lots of action, great sounds and gameplay
Con: touchy graphics, too slow until upgrades and reload rate is slow also until uprgades!

oh and the old version the enemy ships were at least twice as slow, to give you time to sink them cause it was almost instant death if two got two you.

Don't know which version this is but its not the one I played over a year ago, this one is much easier. List of differences,
1. Never gave that much gold
2. You almost never won a fight if another boat touched you let alone a boss ship, youd get slaughtered, basically it should be the other way aorund your men should go down fast not the enemy.
3. You couldnt outrun the ships to the top and come back down, nor shake them once they touched you.
4. Cannons never reloaded that fast
5.Took several hours to beat admiral with lots of restarting, I did it on this version in 70 minutes.
so I give it five stars, because I beat both version but this one is sooo much easier for the badges.
