Challenging game, but more than possible to complete once you learn to play it. 4/5, mostly because of lack of variety.

Sailing ships don't go backwards. They also don't go diagonally against the wind. If the AI can do that, the player should be allowed to, as well. Otherwise, nice concept. But only 3/5 due to imbalance.

fun game but admiral difficulty is nearly impossible - you must have maxed crew and guns but you also need good speed, turning, and tons of armor to survive the last level - it's impossible to get all of that

I think this is a really good game. Needs a tutorial though to tell you that taking down ships that have a lot of gold without damaging them is good. My first play through I used mainly cannons and was getting very little gold.
jessie: your ship shoots off the side which is most up facing. hope that helps.

I liked the game but it needs some fixes. When fighting head to head with a ship, the opponent's ship shouldn't be able to go backwards to chase you if you can't go backwards yourself. Plus, when I go up after the ships onto the side and shoot my cannons, the cannons head in the opposite direction of where the ships are! The player should be able to control which side of the ship the cannons will shoot from.

I have a good comp, but even with settingd minimum my ship would ignore my commands for soconds at a time, good game in the first 1/2, but to laggy after that

You can tell which side will be firing by looking at teh bottom left, it will say firing up or down, whichever side is facing closest to the direction will be the one firing

Very nice game, last guy took me an extremely long time to kill on admiral but I got him on the second try.
The one thing I don't like is when I get in close range combat sometimes it's nearly impossible to get them off.

I'm suck on the 11th (second to last) level of Admiral. I have max crew, max damage per cannon, but the rate at which ships appear and get close to the player on that stage is simply ridiculous.
One needs perfect luck (enemy shooting into their own ships all the time) in addition to perfect timing to have a chance.

The trick on admiral is to shoot down all ships and save your crew to the "Fallen Angel", I boarded her with ~145 crew and had left ~30 when the fight was done.
Remember that you can shoot the enemy ship while boarding it to reduce their crew faster.

Great game. A bit slow on my machine though, even on minimal settings.
And I don't think it is so hard, except the last 2 levels on Admiral level. Until that, close combat is enough to win almost everywhere.
5/5

Retarded to load, retarded the movement, enemy ships have reverse... and speed up whn they are close... wth...
If the makers works a bit more, it could be a good game.

As much as I hate this game (bad controls, shallow gameplay, the enemies glide up when I pass by them WTF?!) anybody who says there's no strategy involved has never gotten very far in 'admiral'.

alot of ppl dun understand how to aim.
great game
would Pwn if there is more depth, e.g attack city, find map rather than just missions. Make it half cutlass reef half caravaneer.

To get the achivement go to the top center of the screen, and melee fight all ships. Spend all your money until you get max pirates. Then its easy from there, enjoy.
