Wow... some of these levels felt impossible (14 and 19, especially), even with the walkthrough, until something clicked and I understood how to do it. A big help was that you could cut multiple tentacles at once, making it easier to make large attacks against a cell.

@hammyobob Challenge accepted. This game is terrible on several levels. [A] Complete lack of documentation and the noob levels don't teach you the game mechanics. [B] The level design is awful. Look at area 14. It's a prefect ground for stasis. There isn't actually a strategy for winning. Instead, you flail around trying things and hoping the computer players don't counter you. [C] The controls are unnecessarily complex and clumsy. How often am I going to want to cut a tentacle at a point other than the base of its home root? Almost never. Yet I have to deal with this cutting mechanic. [D] The decisions the AI makes are almost all random. They have to be because in most of the scenarios you're vastly outnumbered. If it didn't play badly, you would be wiped out most of the time. [E] The gameplay is boring. Watch the walkthrough of area 12. Most of the player's time is spent doing nothing.

zone 12 is the beginning of weirdness - put all on the middle purple until hes low - then cut and have the upper guy go for the upper guy and the lower guy go for the lower guy but watch the middle
give up on the high and low purples to protect the middle guy
then when youve preserved the middle go back to anihilating the end guys
it takes a little practice but if you watch and learn you can do it

I'm stuck in an endless loop on level 16. Seriously, I can't beat the computer, and it can't beat me. We're in a stalemate. What do?

Why i have compeleted the game with 714 score and i summited it but i don't received the Reaching Out Badge?I've play the last mission again but no thing happen.

This game isn't that hard actually. The trick is that when you cut a tentacle, all of the segments of that tentacle go flying off towards a cell at either end, depending on where the cut is made. So if you have a long tentacle attacking an enemy cell, you can cut it close to your cell and get quick burst against the cell you are attacking. You can also use that trick to transfer segments, or pulses, from you cells at the back to the cells at the front.

@iamsotits: Instead of saying "This game sucks, so i'm going to rate 1/5", why not actually provide the reason why it sucks. I find it amazing, and a hard strategy game. It's fun, it's challenging, and it keeps your brain working. The only flaw I have is that it needs more levels or a usermade level system 4/5.
Just saying "This game is too hard, so i'm going to downrate it" isn't enough, you have to provide good reasons for a game that you don't like. I've seen people say, "I don't like this game 0/5", At least give it a 3, Just because YOU don't like it doesn't mean you should downrate it to a 1.

Wow my first 2 posts are wrong.(for lvl 10) I'll refer to the microbes as microbe 1,2,3,4 from left to right. First attack the far left enemy cell with microbe 1 & 2. Quickly, use microbe 4 to back microbe 3 with the cut method. When the top left enemy cell respond by pushing microbe 1 back, attack with microbe 3 using the cut method. That will take over the top left cell with bonus tentacles (it adds the tentacles it was using to hold out microbe 1). Quickly shove out all of the power of microbe 4 to microbe 3 using the cut method. From there, just take the 2nd left enemy microbe and its a tug of war left. NOTE: when an enemy attacks, it weakens itself making it susceptible to a cut method takeover from another cell(thats a technique!).

Dammit (for lvl 10), I mean first use 2 of you microbes to attack (not the split one) on an enemy cell. The enemy cell will respond by pushing your microbes back. Use a 3rd microbe to attack the enemy using the cut method to quickly take over it. The end result is you get to have a very powerful cell because the tentacles that the enemy microbe was using to hold off your other 2 microbes is added to the total power of the new cell.

Lvl 10 is not that hard (it seems hard). First use 2 to attack a corner. The trick is to attack the cell that's attacking your cell. The type of attacking I'm refering to is the one where you split your line to do some quick damage. If you manage to take over the cell YOU GET ALL OF TENTACLES THAT THE CELL HAS (the ones the invader cell uses to take over yours). That way you get a powerful cell right off the bat.

I beat all of the levels within the first or second try. Take your units and focus on one at a time and don't let them get taken over.

For those of you wondering what's different about purple (seems pretty obvious) it will cut its tentacles to attack you and heal itself and will link with its own cells to grow them like you do. Nice to see the AI using the strategies I did in the first game, much more challenging that way. Maybe for the next one each colour has different tactics, like aggressive or defensive. I'd like to see skills of some sort too; things like faster cell growth and tentacle extension.

I thought this game was insanely hard and level 18 was impossible, then I learned that making a closed circuit produced units faster

If you cannot even get the game to load on various software configurations, then you do not deserve high ratings. 1/5 until you get the thing to work.

Yep not gonna lie.. my mind did actually wander at "tentacle" and then I saw someone already said something about it at the top rated comments section.
