Real time strategy games as a genre are flawed. They work fine in the earlier levels, but as the battles get larger, the player finds it harder and harder to keep up with all the activity on the screen until it is simply impossible. The player just can't move fast enough to use many of the tactics in his/her arsenal. The AI has no such problems. It can calculate all the activity on the screen at once, can make multiple moves across the map simultaneously, and knows the exact timings to make its tactics most effective. I can't even tell you how many times I lost an enemies microbe that i had been fighting for to a third party AI who knew the exact time to cut its tentacle in order to steal the microbe from me. It is infuriating. My suggestion to fix these things? Have a time setting. This is so easy, and would make things so much easier. You could have a 2x setting, a 1/2 setting, etc. You could even allow players to pause the game and give commands. 4/5

Trick: Try to get 2+ tentacles on one enemy microbe. The farther the enemy microbe is, the better. Make sure the enemy is retalliating against at least 1 microbe and that you have another microbe connected to your enemy. Estimate about how much you'd need to kill the enemy, because you only get one shot. So if your enemy is like 50hp, you normally probly need to send 50 microbes, the farther away your enemy, the better. If your across the map, subtract 50 by 45 microbes or so. And youd only need to send 5 microbes. Why? Because if you cut the tentacle thats being retalliated by your enemy the enemy will automatically try to reach out towards your microbe, which would extend its tentacle but rapidly decrease its microbes. Once it reaches out far enough, cut the most you can off of the second tentacle thats connected to the same enemy. Boom your enemies microbes are all in that one tentacle but its too late, you already invaded the enemy host microbe. +1 this comment if it helped.

HANDY STATEGIES:
CYCLIC GENERATOR: 3 or more microbes feed into each other in a cycle.
ANT RACE: Spam 1 microbe to create an All-Powerful ANT by cutting tentacles into it as fast as you can.
FRONT LINE POWER: Stengthen your front-line by moving power across multiple microbes, by quickly cutting tentacles from one microbe to the next and so on.
SLING SHOT: Cut a long tentacle to take over a distant microbe faster. Simple but easily forgotten.

Level 18 was ridiculous and a bit easy for that late in the game...It had very very little actual strategy and was mostly just paying attention to everything and mass clicking to make sure you were constantly on the offensive. Then, level 19 was EXTREMELY easy...I was pleased with the difficult of level 20 though, took a few tries. That being said, I was a little disappointed all around. There wasn't a single level that took more than 3 attempts.

Too few levels! Just when the game got fun (level 20) I said to my self "Thats it!?!?!"

on 16 I got stuck in an infinate game where it wont end. the enemy has the two on the right both maxed out and connected to eachother and one of mine I have all mine connected to the next one in the chain all connected to the one defending itself, which is also on offense... it just wont end

Not a bad game at all. The difficulty doesn't progress evenly but who said it has to. Lvl 17 is probably the hardest in the game. Took a while but it was satisfying to solve.

needs a multiplayer mode.... and maybe a team mode.... also, i would like levels where we could actually be very strong players, like getting up to predator rank... otherwise, awesome game! 5/5

There are still some problems with the level editor and how the microbes move which kind of screws up the spacing and who can attack who. Anyways, I made an interesting, yet easy level.

amazing game! adding an element never before seen: cutting the supply to quickly capture adds another strategy aspect into it. Some of the lvl's were challenging but who wants to play an easy game of 'Capture The Flag'? Nice to have an editor but a clear button would be nice:) and multi-player would be A-MAZEING!!! Perhaps a bigger map as well to accommodate for the multiplayerege ;) 5/5!

This is so fun! only thing is that level 11 is very hard. I went on walkthrough and half way im destroyed. This level needs abit fixing. Also, you could add a curved wall feature.This will prevent from using any cheats in building walls. I cant get through level 11, too hard for me. Overall game, FANTASTIC! Why? LEVEL EDITOR!!!!

idc about level 10 its level 9 AND 10 which makes me want to kill myself. I got annoyed at level 10 that whoops you beat me. I hope you enjoy your victory at the bottom of my waste basket.

For those of you having trouble cutting tentacles- Cut close to the original cell and the tentacle adds or subtracts the points of the cell you're attached too. You can take over cells much more quickly if you do this.
