the comments by many people here, most particularly the reasons why people tend to hate this game, really make me doubt the intelligence of the average commenter here -_- Example: "First of all, the whole consept of four heros trying to save people is stupid, they should be trying to kill everyone." Now really, how can anyone write this kind of stuff and be serious about it, I wonder.

This game really lacked a lot. First of all, the whole consept of four heros trying to save people is stupid, they should be trying to kill everyone. Second, after a while the game keeps on getting boring. Why?: Its because the same thing repeats itself over and over, you always fight the same creatures eventually, and it never really gets harder at all. The boss are way to easy to kill. The music really sucks. There should be a "Go To Menu" bottun while playing, and last of all I really hate how the game is set up in battle. There are four squares with faces on them attacking other squares with scary faces on them. Not the best game I've ever played, but not the worst.
2/5

It took a bit to get the hang of it, a few different party combinations, but I settled on Rogue, Rogue, Rogue, Ranger for my main set and haven't looked back.

Brunacid, there is a counter in survival mode! look at the middle of the screen when a new wave starts! It says: Wave X has arrived! X being the wave you are on. You didn't need to spam so much.

Burnacid: There is a counter, after every wave it says what wave you just reached.. I'm glade you rate the game a 1 because you cant read.

even the quickness is fried in survival my mage has quickness of 60 and the things that sacrifice themselves go first at speed of 50!?

i took my rating from 4 to 1... to many glitches in survival mode and not even a counter... im pretty sure i got to like wave 50 but no badge

Game runs more smoothly than when I last played it. I updated my rating from 3 to 5 now. I like the additions to this game from the previous game, like the shop and random travelers.

the only thing i do not like about this game is the store. its hard as heck to get to it and when you do, if you click the wrong button you get kicked out before you are done.

@MrMan: when you go to mysterious altars, you are given potions that permanently increase stats, ie you drink it and your strength and endurance both go up by 5

I tried it and the alter gave me a body enhancement elixir that permanently boosts your strength by 5 and your endurance by 5.

Im going with Mage-Warrior-Mage front row and Cleric in the back passing and healing...it works really well so long as the cleric doesnt die:-D

What a ripoff. Book of Dread is an *offhand* mage/conjurer item which means it's useless (you can't use a staff and book).

I decided. 3/5. Normal mode is just too hard. I can't even imagine what the 150% mode would be like. Even with good tactics, you get killed way too much.

i picked the same clases as delarge and got survival badge at once.
cleric/conjuror (mainly endurance, a bit of int), mage/ranger (mainly dmg, a bit of endurance)
use the cleric to tank, remove curses and most important, buff (anoint) the dmg dealers, eventually ull have to heal
conjuror is maybe the base of this team, tank with wargolems and disable melee foes sending them back with the whirlwind, also use soul call if needed
with the ranger make sure u buff everyone with natures balm and with the mage just deal damage and eventually use mana siphon to prevent the morphing guys turn into aetherguards and/or regain power.

This game is really fun and really good. I hope this game gets #1 ranked on Kongregate. Please make more Monster's Den games improving the 2nd one. Honestly, I thought Monster's Den sucked until the new features including the shop (best improvement ever)

Anyway the game is great. I just have a few beefs with it... well note I've not tried survival mode yet:
Dwarves in the 2nd campaign are significantly harder than other mob types. It just seems wrong that level 10 dwarves are harder than level 12 undead or whatever.
In addition item quality seems awkward at times. I had a level 8 green breastplate of speed with 80ish armor and +6 to quickness or something. and then I got a level 9 blue breastplate of speed which had less armor, AND less quickness, and nothing else.
I also got a level 14 dragonhide armor thingie which also has less armor (by like 40 to boot), less quickness (by 10) and nothing over my blue breastplate 4 levels old but 30 poison resist or something to that effect. Seems pretty underwhelming for an epic.

killing the hydra seemed easy to me by ignoring the heads and focusing on the hydra itself. my party was warrior, cleric, mage, barbarian. I stuck the barbarian in the middle to c harge the hydra, and used my mage to stun heads with astral prison) and nuke the hydra. It took awhile since my major source of damage was barbian charges (and my power regen wasn't great) but I took very little damage in return, my priest was sitting at near full mana the whole time.
