Rogue/war/barb are great for damage. Rogue is strong, but if he uses create opening, barb/war can attack. If brutality procs its great, but if leadership procs, its like 3 attacks for one (haven't tried yet but should work in theory).
Also, when my warrior does cleave, leadership procs every time so by like level 14ish you'll have a devastating party. Also, 4th member as cleric is amazing since annoint + overwhelm can 1 shot bosses (and proc leadership again).

I just got the spellumking badge on standard with hardcore set, and I'd have to say that 2 rogues a cleric and a mage was the best team, as long as you have all characters equipped heavily with runed and soothing equipment.

Two rangers, a cleric, and a conjuror is a fabulous team! You have the cleric in front to soak the melee damage, three characters have healing spells, two have revive spells; add in the conjuror's creatures and your unstoppable!

I honestly think the classic party (Warrior, Rogue, Cleric, Mage) is the way to go since Magi can pwn Wraiths and Rogues can pwn Gargoyles.

If you go to dreadfather before you kill boss on 9th floor...do you not get the completion badge (15 points)? Its not working for me, I'm on like level 12 now thank you.

Here's what I've done with survival. Cleric up front, fully armored out. Ranger, Mage and Conjurer in the back. Summon two War Golems in the two corner slots and buff up with Eldritch Aegis, Swiftness immediately. After that, my cleric heals more than the monsters can deal out to himself and the two golems. After that, i just use all the ranged attacks and kill off the enemies with little trouble.

sacred vestments seem kinda cool for my cleric, but the problem is how its cloth, so youll probably put a cleric with that on in the back row, but it gives him strength!
that makes me want to put him in the front row, but i know he won't do very well because of the low defence.
maybe in the next one (if there is one) you could make it endurance or something?

Also, a word of advice, lets say you are buying plate items for a Warrior. If you click on his/her portrait, you can equip the items you bought at the shop WITHOUT leaving the shop! This is helpful for two reasons: You don't need another epic scroll to go shopping, AND you can sell his old equipment as well.
Remember, to equip the person of choice in the shop, just highlight the portrait then double-click on the item when you are in the "sell items" tab.

There is a guide up for survival which is working great so far. Warrior, Conjurer, Cleric, and Ranger. You put the warrior up front (solo) and give him lots of armor. You conjure 2 war golems to fill in the front spots. After you buff your party with swiftness, eldritch aegis, life regen, and inspiration, its pretty easy to keep going because your party takes so little damage. Also, with the cleric in the back, he can put on heavy int items so he can full heal pretty much anything. Credit goes to a guide that I read based off the kongregate site. Enjoy!

Well, it does say right when you start that it won't remember the combats. But I guess that doesn't make it any less frustrating...

So I was on level 86 of survival when I dropped the mouse (maybe onto the keyboard, I don't understand why this happens) and the window I was running the survival game in closed. When I went to open the game again it remembered my party, but not that I had ever fought at all. That was two days of a lot of combats. Very annoying. the normal game is very good at remembering where you are and saving it. I wish that were true of the survival as well. It is hard to keep a window open that long if you are going for a record. I was already at 6th or so for the day, and I had hopes of making it to the all time list. I will try again, but it is very discouraging when stuff like that happens.

my main complaint is that you can't equip new items while still at the store, even though you can sell what you are wearing! i think you should be able to BUY shop scrolls too!

also make it so you can stick multiple orbs on one item
do those 5/5
curently 4.9999/5 rounded up ;)

Quite similar to the really old game Rogue, but obviously lots of graphical and functional improvements. I dont like the whole scrolls to go to the shop, when your inventory is getting full and you havent got one and its frustrating, having the shop at the end of each level would make more sense to me

I am now on level 76 of the survival game and it has started to get challenging. Level 75 was actually pretty hard. The monsters are now at level 13, so they do eventually get harder. I think it runs you through at least a dungeon's worth of monsters before the level of the monsters goes up a level though.
