*Monsters' Den: Book of Dread v1.8:*
Check the Emporium for some new special items.
This little update is a thank you to all you guys for your continued support. Let me know if I accidentally broke anything.
Hopefully soon I can announce what I've been working on all this time. It's not Monsters' Den, but it should be of interest to MD fans.

dun understand how the mundane thing works still... i had like 3 white items in my bp and i pressed it, i still had 3 white but 1 more purple
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It will make a white item in your inventory become purple item, the lvl will change to current lvl you are if the item lvl is low.

I'm an idiot, it's called "mundane becomes extraordinary", obviously....
I'm quite aware of the effect of "Temporary becomes permanent" :)
And it's spelled "now", not "know", I'm aware of that typo too :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
"Mundane becomes permanent" anyone knows exactly what that altar does?
Once, I thought it upgraded something in my inventory, know, I'm clueless...

Skarn, replenishment +20% means that every time you finish a fight, whoever has that thing enchanted will get 20% of their health and mana back.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hey, can anyone answer me a quick question? From one of those blue circle thingies I got an orb that says it gives replenishment +20%. What exactly is that, and would it be worth keeping until I have better equips? Thanks.

Well, dwarves were added in to this game, I don't think they were in the original, so I guess they would be stronger. They're slow though..

Dreadfather is mildly annoying to fight - especially when the loot is a crossbow, and none of your characters can really use a crossbow...

Yeah, I once had a ranger that had like 40% lethality, it was hilarious, I walk into a boss fight and use hail of arrows and everything dies but the boss.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Hades, that arrow is the orange item that most hard to get it, i reach 200++ lvl still have not 1, while i have 4 ring of boundless energy. It is a good item for ranger, i like the power regen, i can use 2 hail of arrow.

No shop or not, nobody is forcing you to sell your items at the expense of your performance. I've stuck with some items for 50+ levels simply because there was nothing else that could provide as good a bonus.

Lol, hades, u know what is good about no shop?? 1st, ur score modifier get higher. 2nd, you can stack up anything you want. If you shop, you probably wont do it. Like bmuscelli case, it is too good to give up that staff. Use it when facing human. There are many item like assasin armor set, let your rogue wear it and done 10% more dmg to specific monster. This is very good. Orcbane too, i give it to mage when facing orc, 2 lighning storm finish them.

Bmuscelli, a good choice is u start play without shop and stack item that useful, like assasin armor set, anti-undead mace(forget name)... For your question, when you face human, you switch to staff, other monster you can go for your standard build. This is how i play now, play no shop, stack everything that will be useful. My anti-undead mace is just lvl3 but i use it when i face undead. Give it to cleric and cast smite, 1 hit kill.

hey i need some advice from someone experienced here... i have a lvl 144 mage that i can either use mageblade and book of dread with or i can use the staff of destiny. what should i choose?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
4 Hades : if u played so much to have 88 k poison dmg i bet the monsters have a nice bunch of hp also , as i said : execute = 1 shot kill , wich is way better than poison dmg ( that can be cured ) , but that doesn't mean u don't got a nice killer there hehe :)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
1 cleric 1 warrior ( to suffer ) 2 rangers with hail of arrows - high poison dmg as much stun or kill chances as i can get on them ... warrior is by far overpowered with high mana regen : execute
rangers kill legendary creatures the easiest with prowess and creature lore

Barbarian main purpose is deal dmg and make enemy battle power low, can reduce enemy dmg make them number 1 in legendary fight(view purely from skill). He has one of the best skill(my opinion of course) :charge. Btw, barbarian not inflict too high dmg when compare with warrior if they has same weapon. But his skill is much more aggresive(a reason why he is better than warrior when come to legend fight).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
barbarians are like warriors but they inflict much higher damage and take much more due to their lower armour rating. i usually keep a cleric around if i have a barbarian and use my rangers nature balm to help keep his health up. but barbs can do very high damage if given a good battle axe with high strength rating. when i play with my barb i ussually give him higher strength than endurance but i have a warrior tanking for most of my battles and the barb is my primary damage dealer. on my current game my barb is doing 225 damage at lvl 5 and everyone else is hitting around 150.
