Zwischy, I use my cleric usually in a back row, because there should be only one tank, or it will be waste of HP.
And he wears heavy armor, because we have foes with ranged attack and I need cleric to heal others, not self. Not as heavy as need though.

I take it back...a cleric with a mace, casting spells, still benefits from anything the mace adds to his abilities, like lethality or poision damage...food for thought.

Anyone ever considered doing weird things like putting a cleric in the back row and only giving him light armors (keeps his speed up)? You won't get to use any weapons with him, though, only his spells (since they can only use maces). What about mages on the front line with melee weapons, armor spells, and Incinerate and Ensorcelled Blade?

The trick to winning survival mode is paying attention to the buffs each character can bring to the table - once you cast one, it lasts the entire time. So consider the warrior's Adrenaline (+30% attack, immune to stun) or the barbarian's Intimidate coupled with Reckless Fury (+10 quickness, 150% damage and less likely to be targeted...but you take 50% more damage too).
On the defensive side, there's Clerics with Holy Light, and Rangers with Nature's Balm. Don't forget Conjurers who can not only add Wargolems to soak up damage, but can also cast Eldritch Aegis.
I HIGHLY recommend a Cleric with at LEAST 1 point (usually I use 5) in Benediction - there are some maladies you can only heal this way, like Dwarven Warrior's Punishing Blow, which reduces your damage 50%!

Is it just me, or does this seem ridiculously hard compared to the first game? I played on Hardcore mode in Monsters' Den and had no problem... here, I can't beat any of the bosses even on Standard... with or without any equipment I buy or winning strategies from the previous game, it still isn't enough.

It is a pain in the butt that you have to set up the speeds of your characters just right. On mine, I had my mage too fast (90) so she had to go last all the time, because I used the dire wolf to pull the next wave with a kill. It wastes a lot of time, though, so it deserves a hard, if it was your way, it would require less thought and be an easy.

the doomed heros badge is really gay because you should have a choice after each round if you want to heal or not... i get to around wave 6 and just die because im outnumberd and cant kill them all

Survivor badge. I died a couple time when I thought I could only have 3 skills (made it to lvl 36).
With mage (front line style), cleric, ranger, conjurer, made it to lvl 44 (I stopped trying after lvl 40).
Most of the waves are easy around wave 15-20, 35-40, etc, the monsters become challenging. I assume that most people who are paying attention and really draw it out lose around this point. The waves are cyclical and 20 levels long, each cycle one level higher. With the setup I had you have to make sure you don't kill the creatures too fast or get the last ones health too low. I recommend all the characters have quickness 45-55 as this is just slower than a hasted dire wolf.

Oh crap! Got to Corruptors level at 338% and had everyting to win: 200+ dam on weapons, 63% on tank etc. And dead by own mistake =)
The best party seems going to be Warrior, Cleric and 2 Rangers. Warrior has damn powerful skill Defiance, Cleric is a must and Rangers both good attackers and defenders. Pin is the best skill and Focus must have in tactical mode. Balm helps a lot.

Should be able to port your party from campaign to campaign. Game is great, but not entertaining enough to play from scratch more than once.

The Doomed Heroes Badge is (relatively) easy if you pay attention to the skills and how they work.
The Super Spelunker should in my opinion be worth more, if only for the reason that it'll take a lot longer.
The fact that you can't save in survival mode is annoying.

Doomed heroes is easiest badge. Just use permanent skills, such as Inspire, Adrenaline, Balm, Swiftness. Dont' forget to restore spells on your char after death/rewive. Don't kill last monster in a wave, just pass and let your party full regen (save weakest monster for it). That's boring but helps. That's all. I've got over 80 and got tired.

Okay... I've found a room that I can't exit... I've explored 100% of the map, but there's no exit. Still, I've been playing this game for ages, and I love it. 5/5

kweenkellie, what lvl was the doomed hero on? im on lvl 50 atm... games starting to get old though and im wondering if theres n e thing good coming up.

woot i finally got the Doomed hero ... yaay, I used a warrior, cleric, ranger and conjuror...the balm spell of the ranger and the blood/mansprite of the conjuror were key for me.

The most difficult modifier is Attrition.
With buying ability it's piece of cake. Without it you're in trouble, found yourself in way outdated gear. Front line need at least 40% and usually have less than 30. Then meet horde of greenskins and die in a few blows.

Love it. How about the ability to buy/sell multiple items at the same time from/to Yelmo? When there are multiples on the stack, how about combining purchases/sales?

I found the best combo to be: Warrior, Cleric, Mage and Conjuror - their skills compliment each other well in my opinion.
Sweet game.

*Favorite(d).* 4.5/5.
My overall opinion to this game, is that I have a small problem with the monsters having outrageous health compared to my men on the first lvl of normal.

also. tezmiester, some of ur reasons, for me being wrong are absurd for ex.why cant u up ur defense on the stats screen? and u said, yeah its called putting on armor....thats like saying whats the point of uping ur strength when u can simply get better weapons.......half ur reasons are pointless

@ hakamashakallama: Now that would be good! I think it would work best with Barbarian - they can't wield anything in their shield hand. It would also work well with Warrior.

@ Ranger04X: 1: why? no need. 2: if you suggest it to garin maybe it might be one of the skills for a new class in the next one. 3: um yeah you can. it's called putting on armour. 4: um yeah you can. It's the Barbarian skill Jostle. If you lack strategy and find the need to change positions then you fail. 5: why? Six spaces is perfect for the party size of four. And if you increased it, you'd have to face more monsters.

Good game had a few bugs but nothing drastic and impossible to get around. One of the more addicting games here but after awhile it gets super repitive and boring. The idea was excellent but maybe a version of this game with actually animated battle sequences would keep it a little more intresting.Overall I would say 4/5.

some good improvements in this game would be,1. u could lvl from not just going up lvls, 2. u had a overdrive move like in final fantasy and stuff,3. if u could up ur defense in on the stats screen,4. if u could move mid battle onto other spaces,5. if their was more than just 6 spaces, thats all but its still brillant game.
