Under rating threshold (show) HAHA! That fleeng thing of Dreadfather is fun.Dunno what I'll do if he make tank flee. But he did it on 2 ranged units who already poisoned him at 150, so it didn't matter much. And I win. I WIN!!!!!!

Under rating threshold (show) Should the Journeyman's Stone stay in your inventory after you use it? I have four Rings of Boundless Energy for my all-mage party and with Staffs of Destiny I don't see how I'm going to die for a long time.

Under rating threshold (show) I'm going through the game with the default team (If everyone starts with a Warrior, Mage, Cleric and Ranger) It's doing me fine and I have little regrets on that team

Under rating threshold (show) there is only 2 problems for me to solve. 1. Beholder and nexus engine. Both have ignoring-armor almost-to-death spell and restore-mana-at-once ability. Nice eh? Kill-restore. repeat. In addition, one of them has 100% poison and stun resist. 2. is greenskin boss party of 3 shamans and 2 troll and troll boss. Dunno how to pass them. If you want to share your 0.05 cents, note that you're talking of 338% difficulty and better you ever tried it before giving away any advises.

Under rating threshold (show) You all guys talking of easy modes. Your setups and tactics are piece of crap. I can go with any party at normal mode. There is not any problem and nothing to talk. Try hardest mode and see what I am talking about. And keep your advises for yourself.

Under rating threshold (show) I have 2 warr. both with shields and lots of damage reduction a ranger to stun and poison and a cleric with lots of power regen(it's great to heal and never run out of power) makes the game very easy

Under rating threshold (show) Currently on level 90-odd and enjoying a fine set-up. Warrior on the front row with huge damage reduction. Ranger back left, stun and apply poison, conjuror for 2 war golems when needed, group damage reduction buff, vortex for pushing melee types onto the back row and a rez, and a cleric on back row, for healing, a rez, and a smite (with 75% stun chance). I've had one party defeat which in all honesty was more me being lazy than anything else.

Under rating threshold (show) Barmaly, you should have 4 characters: a tanker, cleric, and 2 "damage-dealers" like archer and mage.

Sep. 15, 2008

Under rating threshold (show) Dilemma. If you put cleric in tank position, you have all fighting units. And can have 2 Rangers who are most valuable members in 338 mode, because can fight, heal and regen mana! But there is a problem - what stats to improve? tank needs endurance but cleric needs int. When you have werrior tank, every thing goes on it's place: tank raises endurance and armor proficiency, cleric - int, there is use for any weapons etc. Butwe lack 1 fighting unit which is ranger. Dunno what is better.

Under rating threshold (show) I'd suggest 281%. With shop you can go pretty easy. Good armor for tank (thick shields are best!) and best up-to-level weapons for others gives you good chance. Or just Extreme without modifiers is good.

Under rating threshold (show) I did the survival mode too, and compared to 338 survival is a cake-walk. I got up to about level 41 without anyone dying before I couldnt stay awake anymore. That tactical in 338 makes it a real challenge.

Sep. 14, 2008

Under rating threshold (show) Duck if you want to get the badge but make it a little eaiser on yourself do 228 instead of 338 (extreme, hardcore, attrition) When you get to level 10 youll have 50k, and itll be much much eaiser. Tactial is by far the hardest option in the game.

Sep. 14, 2008

Under rating threshold (show) YES, of course, less difficulty take you this badge much faster. As for me, I win at 338 only one campaign, Corruption one of probably 100 tries.

Under rating threshold (show) It is relatively easy, comparing to other levels :) And sometimes it's hard - I dead at it right now. But most of time I pass it with no problem. Did you ranger's balm on party members? It helps a lot aganist poison and protect back row members

Under rating threshold (show) As your searching, your killing enemy parties, but your also choosing your battles. Finding weaker parties to start (so you can get equipment with minimal risk and minimal use of focus.) That was for my strategy, which is highly gear dependant and can mow through most things without focus at all. And for most of the different classes I can get high damage to work, bout the hardest thing to fight is the troll boss and the deep bosses, both have high hp and high damage, and even with a spear and dagger it takes awhile to kill either one.

Under rating threshold (show) Bar, how can lv1 be so easy? I did put Cl in the front row and he did wear a shield. But, you know, much of mobs have range attack or spell and kill my weak members in the back row.

Under rating threshold (show) Jaojin, there is one thing with this game. Very good thing and very bad thing. This game has too many different cases. Different mobs, different positions, different luck, different tactic. Sometimes your strategy wins, sometimes - not. In that case you die and game is over. So, the only good tactic which let you live - outlast. And I am going to improve it. Gonna try Wa (way better tank than cl), Cl (you need heal for party, especially when you lose one balm), Co (aegis is most important in defensive tactic) and only one Ra, to balm tank and self. Gonna try. Just dead with that party at 1st level though :) Mass stunning green boss did the thing. It happens.

Under rating threshold (show) I just completed the game, best tactic for me is 2 mages, archer and cleric tank, only train endurance for cleric, train intellect for mages and dex for archer, then at level 2 get electrical storm, and hail of arrows, at bosses you will be able to kill all his lackeys at once :D

Under rating threshold (show) Jaojin, I must warn aganist searching dungeon first. Roaming gets your mana restored. Thats very important. So, don't roam at full, just kill near you, if you can. I used to search before, but now i use mofing to regen mana.

Under rating threshold (show) I just beat the lv2 human boss, Manulton(Did I spell right?) through a hard battle. I killed rest of monsters except the boss, but all I have then was only Cleric. It had 16 HP regen, which is more than boss' dam to him. But he had 85% accuracy by blind, so.. I made macro to keep clicking him and read a book in front of my computer.

Under rating threshold (show) I balm the cleric and either the rogue or the ranger, summon a dire wolf (twice if you have to.) Pierce armor if they wear it, poison if they dont (you can do both with a bow.) And save your healing til a character is low on life (20% or lower.) When you have cleared all of the weaker mobs in the instance you can restore your focus before the boss and expend all of it without worry, when you descend to the next level your health and focus will be fully restored.

Sep. 13, 2008

Under rating threshold (show) Duck, search the dungeon first, take on small groups of enemies first, find as much gear as you can get before you face the boss or the fear-thingy. When you've explored everything thats easy and geared up a little bit, use potions (or shrines) to fully restore the party's health and mana then go into battle. Take out mobs that are easy to kill and deal a good deal of damage first. The most difficult part is getting through the first couple of levels, even if you have to give your rogue a bow and put him in the back row (so he doesnt take damage) then go for it... surviving the first 4-5 levels is key, once you get past 4 or so things become eaiser and eaiser.
