Ranger as a tank is quite fun, run him all endurance with massive regen. To be honest, I got a lot further on 338 with a warrior, cleric, ranger, mage setup but I wanted to try a set that would be high damage. The other 3 rangers run all high quickness + pure dex, can usually most if not all of the enemies before they even get a chance to attack but it's pretty rough going if you get a lot of misses on your first volley. It's a lot tougher to run than the classic setup, that's for sure.

Here is a simple hint for everyone who can't get conjurers to work. Don't worry about your intellect stat. Vortex isn't very useful and the other spell heals only creatures so it also isn't very good. None of the conjurers good spells - aegis, wargolem, banisment, call soul - rely on intellect. If you use a conjurer, Only increase endurance, nothing else.

What problem y'all have on survive mode? How can you die on first levels? You put a mage in the first line or what? Get a classic party: tanker, priest, mage and archer. Put tank in the first line and others in back. Put tank in best armor. That's all! Simply go and kill. Don't hit if you cursed. Heal your party members. Thats easy rules. Why so mych peaple find it hard?

empyrealdrift, I never use manasprite. Sometimes wargolem as spare tank. Most of time I use conjuror only for his Aegis. With potion it makes 99% dam reduction on tank, so he can finish battle alone if things goes wrong. And I can't imagine ranger as a tank.

I run a high survival, set-up with one warrior two priest and a conjouror its works quite well as it seems i basically never die, and rarely if ever have anyone die, avoid spells like mana/health sprite, go for wargolem, instill engery to heal your golem, and banish, and the res. spell that they get none of the other skills are very usefull, put as many ranks as you can in fortifing the health of your summoned allies later, and put stats points 2 into end, and 1 to int each level, banish is fantastic because you can use it to instantly destory the summoned minions of acolyes.

I can't get conjurers to work well for me, they have very low survivability and the mana regen from the sprite doesn't ever seem wortwhile, especially when the sprites die quickly. What kind of build are you running on your conjurer?

oh, I've tried all ranger group and failed. Succeed only with 2ra plus tank and conjurer. but past level 10 it goes easier and easier. I am level 100 and most of time got not any problem. But starting levels are pain!

I agree about the badge for 338%, I'm going through the second campaign with an all ranger group, currently at level 10, very very tough.

the 1st badge are easy to get, but the last one is hard! they should level this up toimpossible, so my hard work will be worth it

The secret to beating the waves? You can reset the shop every game: so when you create your party you only buy the very best equipment then quit to menu. Reload the game, shop, quit. Makes doing the waves a snap. :) Probably unintended though.

Big red and blue are thrown away. That means I cannot use temporary altars anymore but it gives 2 more slots for rare items museum.

Pay attention to the everlasting skills, such as Nature Balm, Eldrich aegis and such. Don't forget to recast it on revived mebers. Also readh through this comments back: there is thousands of explanations already.

38 items in inventory and every char fully equipped. I badly need some regular item but I cant because slot is used for rare.

Dreadfather's poison resist is 75. but it doesn't matter cause Fearsowers are weak fighters.
But these items... Who use it?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I have done it as early as lv14. You need enough ranged power to bring him down, and armor to hold the front line. Sadly, I don't remember him posin resistance, but I would imagine around 50%. You can reuse the stone, so try popping in, check his stats, and retreat first round if you decide to hold off.

After you beat the Dreadfather, you get two decent items, and can continue in the endless dungeon, which obviously means you can keep fighting forever.

When you use the Journymens stone you are transported to fight the Dread Father, and three fearsowers. Be ready for a fight, because he will resummon the fearsowers, and actually force members of your party to retreat. The good thing is, if someone is forced to retreat, and the rest die, you can live to try again.
