Warrior, Warrior, Babarian Mage
no Problem to kill every opponent. Soon im level 400 and no kind of problems :-) I think there is no better way. Dont need a healer cause of damage resistance 99 and enough regeneration.

I thought I would clarify my position on this Warrior/Ranger/Rogue/Mage party that I have been hinting at. It /is/ weak at the start, and must be played a bit carefully. A strike-first approach will kill two to three enemies at every round of combat during the late-game. That means: Warrior at Q40+ (Q60 with potion), and the rest at Q70 and above.

I just don't agree. Melee units have the most powerful attacks in the game.
The mage's Incinerate does more damage than any other skill, and Ensorcelled Blade is an effective boss-killer.
The rogue has the best melee weapon -- the dagger (which gains attribute damage from both Strength and Dex.) -- as well as a diverse set of low-power skills.
Anoint simply doesn't make up for two attacks. A ranger would need only to focus attribute points into Dexterity and Intelligence to become an effective fighter/healer dual.

psyn: The Cleric is a great Tank/Healer in the front row throughout the game. It doesn't need to also be a great damage dealer. With all points in Endurance, Anoint is far from useless on more offensive team members.

Now we just need a quest system and a village!
You think you could add some system so that you could change partymembers between all your parties? And Rogue needs better chance to dodge. Even with unrealistic high Dex and Speed I still get hit!

I think, if I were to play through another campaign, that I might forfeit the cleric in favor of a ranger. The cleric's skills are fairly useless (except for Heal and Holy Light) unless you only increase his Intelligence attribute.
The cleric has no ranged weapon available, so it should be in a melee slot. Unfortunately, this position is better used by another character, as the cleric spends most of the time healing companions later in the game.

Kremlin: A rogue's Coup de Grace attack will let you kill any stunned enemy. Use the mage's Cosmic Prison skill for this. Also, try the warrior's Cleave, and Execute (if you are badly out-matched).
I used these skills through to level ten, until my party's damage output started surpassing the enemy's levelling gain.

I really love this game, time flows by .. but i would have a suggestion for the survival-mode:
If you start survival mode, you get a Shop with random stuff, that's okay, but it would be nice if you could have some "randomize" button or something ... there are times you get a shop that makes it REALLY easy to play, and sometimes the Shop is literally a real pain in the .. you know. So sometimes you have to reroll your group and reroll and reroll and get 6-7 Shops in a Row where the best blue item you can get is some kind of "Plate - +5 Strength 40% Poison Reduce" while in another game you get a Truckload of "Vampire / +10 HealthReg / +10 Power Reg" stuff thrown at your face ...
some randomize-function would be reaaally nice :)

Best game ever. Warrior/cleric/ranger/conjuror is the best team. If u wanna survive, get conjuror a res ability and keep cleric in the last row. Careful with dwarven crossbowman and thats IT. 5/5

Easy is too easy, but I don't seem to be able to beat any boss with on normal with any formation/combination of classes that I've tried. I need a semi-easy setting :\

Chomeric .... the game regards each wave as a continuation of one battle. Group effect spells such as 'thief's luck' & 'nature's balm' last till you die. Use a Cleric/Conjr to heal and revive and experiment with the rest of your group. Conjr with WarGolem can be used to add 2 extra attack units to your side. Very handy :-)

It's a great game.. loljkl, that's no reason to hate this game. As for your complaining about the lack of health regeneration.. Well, there are altars and armour pieces that give your characters health regeneration during and out of fights when you go to new areas. They're cards? Well, this is the type of game it is.. No action, just strategy. You're in the wrong section if you prefer some kind of hack-and-slash monster killing game.

2 arafel: Yes, without quests it's a bit boring and like all RPG or MMORPG games it is very repetitive: kill more mobs, get more advanced gears and so on, and so on...sigh...but for a flash game it's quality still quite good.

Really nice game.. you dont need to buy stronger armor or anything to complete the achievements.
But at the end it does goes easy.
anyway a great game tho

The site upgrade introduced some issues with the way the stats API was implemented. The game crashing when you tried to exit the shop was related to this.
The problems should be resolved now.

Book of Dread is a marked improvement to its predecessor. More addictive, adversaries, and more intuitive. While I gave it a 5 for a rating because of the improvements. The one thing that holds it back I think is that you only seem to be limited to 4 allies wandering these dungeons. The drum rift (yes I did say drum - not guitar) for some of the battle scenes is impressive. This programmer seems to have a few connections with the musical arts.
