One of my favorite games. Much better than first, but I found conjurer to become worthless fairly quickly as the game progressed and had the worst passive skills.

Very fun game, if you have trouble with survival, conjure, improved heal w/extra heals cleric, poison buff ranger, and cleave/bloodthirst warrior worked really well. Make sure everyone has power regen gear and the warrior has vampiric drain, his cleaves will full-heal him

The Legendary Monsters randomisation needs a bit of tweaking. I got three Legendaries within the first 6 levels on one game...
@franco: Depends what it says. Gift of Magic gives you an Enchantment Orb to boost your items. Temporary to Permanent gives you a potion that boosts stats. Mundane becomes Legendary changes a white border item (not grey) into a purple item.
@TFTD: I don't know really. It's what works for you best. However, I recommend you stick a Cleric in there without thinking twice to heal your characters.

@Jokester: The retreat-and-rest option is still here, but (as in the original MD) only if you defeated all 10 groups of monsters on the previous level.
@Andrei: The person you quoted might have been playing the new campaign, which doesn't have a fixed number of levels. Instead, it ends when the player creates the journeyman's stone out of 9 glowing stone fragments (received in certain battles). For many players, it has gone on several levels longer than necessary, as they collected the fragments but didn't know they had to double-click the stack of 9 to assemble the stone.

"Has anyone finished the campaign? I mean I’m on level 78 and I’m wondering if it actually does end."
the campaign doesn't actually end. after u beat the corruptor, u play the infinite mode

Terrific game. Just one thing I'm not liking that much, you took out the thing where you can go back one level and rest all your people to full power and health. That's the only flaw I think. 4/5 :)

the comments by many people here, most particularly the reasons why people tend to hate this game, really make me doubt the intelligence of the average commenter here -_- Example: "First of all, the whole consept of four heros trying to save people is stupid, they should be trying to kill everyone." Now really, how can anyone write this kind of stuff and be serious about it, I wonder.

This game really lacked a lot. First of all, the whole consept of four heros trying to save people is stupid, they should be trying to kill everyone. Second, after a while the game keeps on getting boring. Why?: Its because the same thing repeats itself over and over, you always fight the same creatures eventually, and it never really gets harder at all. The boss are way to easy to kill. The music really sucks. There should be a "Go To Menu" bottun while playing, and last of all I really hate how the game is set up in battle. There are four squares with faces on them attacking other squares with scary faces on them. Not the best game I've ever played, but not the worst.
2/5

It took a bit to get the hang of it, a few different party combinations, but I settled on Rogue, Rogue, Rogue, Ranger for my main set and haven't looked back.

Brunacid, there is a counter in survival mode! look at the middle of the screen when a new wave starts! It says: Wave X has arrived! X being the wave you are on. You didn't need to spam so much.

even the quickness is fried in survival my mage has quickness of 60 and the things that sacrifice themselves go first at speed of 50!?
