So anyone out there use the Spear strategy with the warrior or the ranger? I'm curious. A 4 party ranger works obviously. but I'm just wondering but in a mixed party if anyone has used it on the war or a rng?

Oh man... kiraice, when you explore(not move, the room must be not explored) a room, you regain some power and healthy depend on your power and healthy regen... @Take 1-2 hit die? Erm... in lvl 9 is impossible... their take 3 hit die(there are some mobs can 2 hit kill, troll, guardian with impact, orc axe thrower. Other than that nothing can kill you in 2 turn), and what you think vampire effect for?

Also I don't like to call electrical storm as ES, because energy shield in Diablo II is also ES, that will confused me a lot. So I use ET as electrical storm. :P

@Entlee: Mage is about taken 1 or 2 hit then died. Using power power siphon in front of 6 mobs(big group) is never a good idea. Not only because mage is going to die, but 4 electrical storm have totally different result than 3 or less. Mage team can wipe out a half group of mobs mostly ONLY by 4 ET. (standard or easy mode mage kick ass strong. 4 ET kills everything except boss.) Also if you set "tactical" mode on then even you have +100 mp reg. it still gives you 0 mana every turns. Are you just trying to say you play "extreme" only and nothing else? then why you expressed like you really did something impossible? You still didn't prove me that mage team has any chance to conquer corruptor in the hardest setting. (This post is pointless since rumor and cheat are everywhere)

DUDe that sucks but conjuror are human killers lol... i never got to use banish on voidsalkers lol but you really don't need 2rangers killer

too bad once you get a -50% dmg debuff on you survival mode is over. Otherwise it would be fun instead of frustrateing

no the best party is: warrior ranger ranger conjuror
the warrior got good def to tank the monsters if you mix it with conjurors eldrich aegis, also the conjuror can summon a healspirte which works the same way as the clerics heal all. And the two rangers start with a natures balm that give good hearth regen + 100% poison resist + a powerfull skill that DMG all monsters. And they got a quickness skill that give 20 quickness too all

Best line up in my opinion is:
Cleric (both the tank and healer)
Conjuror (he can ress and summon)
2x Ranger (dps and healer)

and for barbarian of cousre each level 1 endurance ,2strength train only dismember and whirlwind and max brutality for max damge with fury , if lucky you will do like 200% each turn with your warrior taking all hits

okay best combo is cleric,warrior,barbarian and ranger
ranger ko all beasts,warrior should be used for shield wall only,having aslo bloodlust(for power recovery)and reslove when cleric is stunned and have every reflection you can find on him/her
cleric should have both healing,and purify and holy light to weaken chances of hit,and ranger is there for using hail(for multipe poisoning blinding etc),pin(in case of a pinch) and of course hunter prowess for blazing deep creatures boss
in every other level use focus to quickly get power til you have at least a 25+ power recovery

Ok... it is long...Here is some details:
1. Learn power siphon and power problem solved. 6 mobs party in lvl 9 is very common.
2. Try to explore as much as possible, and kill small party and 1 big party.
3. Maybe you didnt equip power regen item? You need it, even in battle you didnt benefit from it.
4. For the 1st time, i use some special potion which i never use at normal mode, that is resistance potion, quickness potion(only against orc axe thrower, but since you has problem with corruptor, save for it) and poison resist potion(poison drake is nothing!).

Kiraice, you didnt read my comment... maybe it is too long and boring. I will write again, in short(i try). POWER SIPHON(this skill is useful, make sure you learn it before lvl 9) solve the problem, at 1st i has this trouble but i manage to get it at my 2nd try. Power siphon is really important at this difficulty. And quickness, well, even in normal mode i has my mage 70 quickness. But of course, not in this mode, but my 4 mage(3 maybe, cant remember, what i sure is i 1 turn kill that corruptor) manage faster than corruptor. It is not hard to get this fast, just need 10(maybe 5? corruptor is not fast at all) more quickness. Even he make image, you move 1st before the image, unless you have same quickness with corruptor, and electrical storm wont kill you in 1 turn, no reason to worry about it. But the freeze will, if you has poison.

the same goes for any 4 same team you can't get quiver if you don't have ranger,
you can't get censers if you don't have cleric etc etc...

wat does intellect do on a cleric?nothing?? cuz i have a barbarian rouge warrior and cleric and im not sure if i should just sell intellect orbs or put them on the cleric

Try this. 1. -extreme -hardcore -tactical -attrition. 2. all mage team. (With all rogue team I conquer this challenge without real difficulty. because rogue imbaness, but it isn't easy, either.)

@money8giver8: look a several pages before, please. Actually I am the first one who said 4 mage team is better the 4 rogue team. But when you're doing this setting, -extreme -hardcore -tactical -attrition. Sorry, I don't believe there is a chance to beat this game. If you have interests in this challenge, why don't you try it and see what happens? I think you'll know what I'm arguing about.

@Entlee: youtube.com/watch?v=DtWEQxhscNM , take a look and I think you'll know why I have doubt. I can take down corruptor in extreme difficulty from start a new team to end just about 40 mins. However, it is totally irrelevant to what "difficulty" we talking about. What you are talking about is beginning to be suspicious. 1. you still didn't explain how you maintain your over-using mana. in corruptor level I tried using all potions and shrine to clear all mobs to meet him is still impossible. 2. Corrupt is FASTER than you. 3. Even 1 of your image has the potential to kill your whole team, if it has electrical storm.
