MoblinMan: You use the Revival potion on the Warrior (there's a small and big version, they differ in how much health and mana they restore on reviving the character). Also, the altars (yellow globes on the map) revive all your fallen party members and restore all the others' health and mana as well, just be careful not to use them when not necessary, as they can only be used once. The revival potions can be found as loot in the chests or after a battle, or purchased at the store (for which you have to find a teleport scroll first, which can be kind of hard).

Good I'm glad it's not just me with the % thing. Oh well I still plan on hitting level 2000 by next week. Moblin if you are playing the campaign then you need to either use a revive potion or a alter of restoration. If you don't have either of those available you're screwed until you get one unless you can revive with a cleric or conjurer.

true monkeybot...you always miss in the first turn and you get lethality/creature lore etc only after half the fight is over. it is BS since all my guys hve 95% accuracy and still miss in a 6 enemy fight! do the math.

The "mundane to extrodinary" will take a basic"white" item and turn it into a purple item. For instance an axe would become either a blood harvester or a golden axe. I'm not completely sure but i think the quality of the starting basic item will increase the damage of the resulting purple item(planforged, Voidwood, magesteel, mitril and damascene seem to be the best grades)
Yea iddunno if the number crunching battle programming doesn't like me or what but all of my guys have at least 35% lethality and I'm lucky if I get 1 insta kill in a six enemy battle...That's BS. I also miss way more than I should, IE 88% chance to hit but i miss 2 out of six enemies that's 66%...otherwise thise game rocks my party rapes.

Yep that's what i thought, there's no rating modifiers for the survival mode, only the two campaign modes. When you start a new game it skips that part.

Darkness you got the winning formula for sure i just used mage instead of ranger for wriaths but yea buy all thick high grade armor for warrior and flank with 2 iron golems. Use str and armor buffs to make them all awesome mage armor for mage gives him 40+ DR in the back with the conjurer and cleric who all should have runed gear with as much insight suffix as u can afford. Killer game huge item base cool char skills if you haven't played and like turn based rpg's this is about as good as they get for flash game. 2 thumbs up!

Dude! You just completed the Doomed Heroes achievement in Monsters' Den: Book of Dread and won the Doomed Heroes badge and 30 points! Easiest way - hard to believe but its true : dont wear any reflection armour

In the beginning, I think that health regain is most important, but yeah, later on go with any instant kill gear you can find.

Why is that a bad thing? There's only 5 types of enemies races, You fight the same stuff over and over again anyway :/ lol

Ok cool my score is fixed thank you Kongregate. This is a high quality awesome little flash game. Yea its totally Diablo with turn based party. Anyway to anyone who thinks this sucks, you just don't like old fasioned turn based dungeon crawlers, don't say it sucks because it's actually pretty balanced and the game flow is excellent. I'm #1 ftw :p

I played the original Monsters Den & loved it...though I did get a bit bored after completing the quest at level 10 & continuing to level up into the 30's. MD2 otoh, is a bit more complicated (took me a 2nd trip to the Store before realizing I could equip by dbl-clicking...I tried dragging & dropping to no avail). But I do like the new classes & abilities, and also being able to travel a path instead of just one space at a time. Kudos!

Why do people still ask this question rather than search back two pages of comments for the answer. The temp becomes permant shrine gives you one of two differant potions. The first potion permantly ups your strength and endurance by 5 points. The second potion ups your Int and Dex instead. On the first few pevels, you will only find the strength potion. Later levels you will find two potions of one type, or one fo each. If you have no spare room in your inventory when you use the shrine, to bad they disapear. Also, the potions will stack like normal potions if you want to hold on to them.

the temp becomes permanent is like something temporary becomes permanent eg. "Temp boost on str for warrior"="Permanent boost on str for warrior"

The game was awesome, a little repetitive at times, but still, very addictive and just plain fun to play! For most turn based RPG players out there it could turn into a real addiction T-T Im living proof of that. 5/5 I hope there will be a sequel ;)
Rougue, Mage, Conjuror and Ranger its all it takes to get all the badges easilly XD

I play much more defensively, especially in the endless wave mode. Warrior, rogue, cleric, and conjuror. Make sure the last 2 have revive and call soul respectively and buy all the runed crap you can afford. lasts frikin forever.

i play on 331 with a Barbairan, Cleric, Warrior and mage, with my mages ring of boundless energy which replenishes 100% hp and mana at the end of every round i just made him pure int. and gave him the highest speed and lightning bolt once

Widanak, I disagree. Play again on on 331%, hardcore mode, no power regen, and no store, and see how far that group gets. It is a good group, but it requiers absolutly no thinking. Play on a setting thats an actual challenge.
