Wargolems are bad. Cause they let Dwarven veterans hit back row. One alone warrior is good enough. Wargolems are waste of time and mana. I prefer my cleric hit enemies than heal weak golems.

No cheating with the merchant. Get warrior, priest, conjuror, and hunter, get two wargolems, and regen on everyone. The rest is details.

Beat wave 40, stopped maintaining summons, buffs, and healing; beat wave 50 before I let everyone die. :P

Why need special message for how? Good party, smart gameplay and that little EQ cheating - and you can get to 200 with no real problem.

right now i'm on level 40; b/c I pump so much int into my clerics, each litany of pain will take about a little less than 1/3 of their health. my party's never in danger of dying, will kill regular monsters in 1 round, will kill normal bosses in at most 1-2 rounds, and the very rare bosses take at most 3 rounds where I usually have to use a heal all. b/c many turn based rpgs dont offer good alternative support buffs for other classes, the ability to heal all is just overwhelmingly useful to have for 4 characters.

Here's what you need in order to rape hardcore in this game:
1. Gear-Wise [vampiric weapon and shield; rest should be runed w/ either speed or +endurance or +damage, eventually you will get gear that gives life/power after each fight but 35-40ish power regen is very useful for bosses; also 65 speed will guarantee you go first which is IMPORTANT]
2. Character-wise [anything that can hit EVERY guy on the screen, with the absolute ideal being cleric b/c of SOO many healing options you just cannot die even if you don't put anything into endurance, and w/ life drain healing even from magic dmg, you might not ever need heal although you'll definitely want all clerics over non-clerics]
3. Cheat Engine [the speed hack on this makes the fight animations not take all freakin day]
4. I use all clerics and pump int every floor and skills i get heal all, litany of pain, revive, benediction, wrath in that order.

Can you ever buy portal scrolls? I've just found one randomly, and the shop didn't have any more. Game's still been awesome so far.

How the heck do you change classes? I always get Fighter/Cleric/Mage and then the last slot I can get Barbarian or Rogue or Ranger. But the first 3 always show up the same classes. Anyone help?

in survival mode, i like classes that can buff others "until the end of the battle" because there isn't actually an end, so the buff persists

Section9, Warrior has Execute, which GREAT help in survival. I guess my setup is best, at least among ones, who writes here.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
thedarkgipsy, you 're talking about regular game normal difficulty? Noone needs these advises because you can go with any setup any tactic at these conditions. You can test your tactic only by hard conditions, i.e. regular game at hard difficulty or 80+ survival wave.

sorry, just reread and noticed you did say survival. I would however take out one cleric and through in a conjurour. They can also resurrect players and break it up a little.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
thedark: Is that strat for survival mode or normal. If it is for survival, it should be decent. But if you try 331 mode with 4 units using heavy armor, you are going to suffer hardcore. Better to break it up with a rogue and ranger. Rogues daggers will Always do more damage than a warrior with a one-handed weapon.

ah, have my fighter now, no poison, but he has a 10% chanc eto kill on strike, and has 21% drain, hehe and my tank has 51% dmg reduction, and 135% reflection
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The strategy here is that your tank cleric will use shield wall to divert the attacks, give him good armor and as much reflect as you can, along with extra endurance, if you can. The Fighter warrior is there to tank when the other one is weak, and needs a turn to use resolve, and in the mean time he can cleave hte front row, give him a poisoned blade, trust me youll thank me for that, cleave and poison are great. The healer cleric is there to heal, primarily, and give them plenty of power regen. The backup cleric is in case the other less health cleric dies, which is fatal if you only have one cleric to begin with. This backup cleric deals area of effect dmg and heals when the other healer is low on power. I havent tried this yet, but my previous warrior/warrior/mage/cleric strategy worked alright and thsi one should work better, ill post more info, and if you guys wnat an alternate strategy just say so. This is for survival mode, btw xD
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Er, when i said cleric 4 times i meant the first 2 as warriors
Ok for the 6 extra skill points your soldiers have, give your fighter cleric 3 in leadership and 3 in armor, give your tank cleric 6 in armor, give your healer cleric 6 in benediction, and give your backup cleric 3 in wrath, and 3 in benediction.

tyvm! ok guys, this is my strategy, 2 warriors 2 clerics, one survival cleric, one pure cleric, one tank/dmg cleric, one pure tank cleric.
Fighter Warrior
str 33
end 55
dex 28
int 28
Put him in the middle front
Give him cleave, resolve, and shield wall
Tank Warrior
Str 28
End 55
Dex 28
Int 28
Put him in front, on the right
Give him Resolve, adrenaline, and shield wall
Healer cleric
Str 28
end 28
dex 28
int 55
put him in the back on the left
Give him heal all, litany of pain, and revive
Backup cleric
Str 28
end 35
dex 28
int 48
Put him in the center in the back
Give him heal all, revive, and litany of pain

thedark: bonuses and negatives do not stack for either your party or the enemy, only the more efffective one is used. Inspire used twice will be wasted. Poison is the only trait that actually stacks.

Gods survival mode is boring. You get the right character combo and you can last forever with ease. After hitting 40, I stopped doing anything but basic attacks...when that still didn't get me killed, I started passing at the lvl 45 boss wave.
