z7master thans interesting. I've tried no-cleric config, but found it's harder. Yes, we lack 1 fighting unit but there is often cases when you can't survive by regen only.
And I don't use healing altars even at early levels. only 8 used so far :-P

If you really want to get into min/maxing the equipment for survival mode, consider that medium armor wearers can also wear light armors if that's the only way to get a certain statistic you want (usually anyone with heavy armor is in the front line and does best to stick with heavy stuff). Consider carefully the skills you plan to select for your party as well, as this should greatly influence the gear you buy. If you plan to use Adrenaline for your warrior, for example, you can skip buying any items with Tenacity in them. If you're going to have a Ranger, you shouldn't need any Purifying equipment, either, thanks to Nature's Balm.

gbaz, that tactic almost never works.
Two common things will beat you sooner or later.
Either you get stunned
Or you run against a fearsower or shaman and they hit with a No Mana regen power.
And in 338, the tactical option completely removes your mana regen anyway.
In a desperate situation, yes, works fine, but by then I only use the warrior to draw fire while everyone else flees.

338 is really the way to go for a challenge, 1 do it with 2 rogues, 1 ranger and 1 warrior.
I'm at level 70 now and I clear every level 100% without using the yellow altars or even going back up to rest. :D

If a warrior has all power regain gear on (30+ total power regain).
.
. Would Defiance used each turn make him invincable? (healing palm to prevent poison)

I find for story mode, 2 clerics and 2 mages for quick game.
1 cleric front-middle. Highest armor with quickness and life leech. All stats into endurance for added HP.
1 cleric back-middle. all stats into int. Gear is int+power regain.
She is for spaming her hit all skill/cure all.
2 mage back-left/right. all stats into int. Gear +int and power regain.
They are for spamming that hit all spell.
Usually my mages kill off all non-boss monsters in 1st round, and then my clerics usually finish left overs before enemy makes a move.
Boring that way, but I wish for survival mode has option for level, 10,20,30,and so on.

survival mode = choose a party, choose skills and statistic improvements for them, buy equipment, then attempt to survive as long as you can against wave after wave of monsters.
Access it from the campaign selection screen - there are two dungeon campaigns and the survival mode. Survival is the 'Fall of Telunos' campaign.

Adcatcher, I'd suggest warrior as tank because his Armor skill helps with that dmg reduction depreciation thing. And his Defiance skill also can be very useful.

You know, I've been using Cleric-Cleric-Ranger-Mage/Convoker with a lot of success lately. I have one for healing and set the other one up as a tank. I find I have to pick my battles some in the beginning, but the two-cleric setup makes the deep bosses and Nexus a snap, and once the tank-cleric gets going I can pretty much mow stuff down with him with impunity. I go bow-only on my Ranger because Hail and Pin are something I could never live without. Any thoughts?

upandabove thats easy. just read through this comments. comprehensive goide every ten pages :D Pay attention to everlasting skills, such as inspire, balm, aegis etc. Also basic fighting skills needed.

my tip is...to spam envenomed arrow.
and nature's balm.
BEST WAY TO KILL HIM
is to spam poison. poison stacks. thats the point. i did 3.5k poison b4 :)) very imba

HAHA! That fleeng thing of Dreadfather is fun.Dunno what I'll do if he make tank flee. But he did it on 2 ranged units who already poisoned him at 150, so it didn't matter much. And I win. I WIN!!!!!!

Should the Journeyman's Stone stay in your inventory after you use it? I have four Rings of Boundless Energy for my all-mage party and with Staffs of Destiny I don't see how I'm going to die for a long time.

I'm going through the game with the default team (If everyone starts with a Warrior, Mage, Cleric and Ranger) It's doing me fine and I have little regrets on that team

there is only 2 problems for me to solve. 1. Beholder and nexus engine. Both have ignoring-armor almost-to-death spell and restore-mana-at-once ability. Nice eh? Kill-restore. repeat. In addition, one of them has 100% poison and stun resist.
2. is greenskin boss party of 3 shamans and 2 troll and troll boss. Dunno how to pass them. If you want to share your 0.05 cents, note that you're talking of 338% difficulty and better you ever tried it before giving away any advises.

You all guys talking of easy modes. Your setups and tactics are piece of crap. I can go with any party at normal mode. There is not any problem and nothing to talk. Try hardest mode and see what I am talking about. And keep your advises for yourself.

I have 2 warr. both with shields and lots of damage reduction a ranger to stun and poison and a cleric with lots of power regen(it's great to heal and never run out of power) makes the game very easy
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Currently on level 90-odd and enjoying a fine set-up. Warrior on the front row with huge damage reduction. Ranger back left, stun and apply poison, conjuror for 2 war golems when needed, group damage reduction buff, vortex for pushing melee types onto the back row and a rez, and a cleric on back row, for healing, a rez, and a smite (with 75% stun chance). I've had one party defeat which in all honesty was more me being lazy than anything else.

Dilemma. If you put cleric in tank position, you have all fighting units. And can have 2 Rangers who are most valuable members in 338 mode, because can fight, heal and regen mana! But there is a problem - what stats to improve? tank needs endurance but cleric needs int. When you have werrior tank, every thing goes on it's place: tank raises endurance and armor proficiency, cleric - int, there is use for any weapons etc. Butwe lack 1 fighting unit which is ranger. Dunno what is better.

Vampiric items give you a % of health healing based on the amount of damage your character does to a monster with a given attack, be it physical or spell.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
quick question. have a vampiric ring, says Drain Health (5% of Damage)... is that enemy life drain, player health gain, player health drop on attack, or what?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For me, Corruption seems little easier. It's always start from undead which I count as easy foes. And there is Fearsover in Terror.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, survival mode is a piece of cake. Even I did lv88.......I was doing only Terror one!! Is it more difficult than Corruption one? I thought they have no difference..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I'd suggest 281%. With shop you can go pretty easy. Good armor for tank (thick shields are best!) and best up-to-level weapons for others gives you good chance. Or just Extreme without modifiers is good.
