Alright, I need advice for the easiest way to get the spelunking badge. Which campaign? Which difficulty modifiers? What party build? Should I be trying to clear 100%? Any other advice?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Sengiratolom, I got it, you re talking about that survival mode. I'm not much interesting in it, because it's too easy. Regular campaigns are much more fun.

Screw you, Barmaley. I don't have to be 'on the leaderboard' to give reasonable advice concerning this game. And no, I don't always play 338%, so go right ahead and continue feeling superior to us. But I'll be damned if I'm going to shut up because you tell me to do so.

RiP atlast, 11 levels without summoning or healing until they managed to kill a non golem party member (cleric in this case) rest followed soon.
fun fact: my ranger, warr and 2 golems had 50% reduced dmg done since before the lvl 40 mark)

sceptism is a good thing barmaley, reason for not beeing on the high score list is that i played the game a while ago, but since you are so list focused you can check again and i should be there. was more tedious to die then to survive, stopped healing @ wave 45 and still almost on full hp @ wave 50 (ranger buff ftw), lets see when my party finaly dies

for survival mode you can keep entering the shop and buy up new and better items. like soothing, thats how i did it. and it was very easy. i used a cleric, which i had never even attempted to use and a ranger, which again i never attempted to use. a warrior and maybe a barb or rouge.

And again. I don't see these wise people in the high scire list. What level you got with your "best" setup? Show it. Prove it

Why do you all such love these golems? They weak in both defense and attack. One single warrior can easily handle any damage, with 70+ dam reduction. Give him Balm and he'll never ask for a cure. So, other party members can kill enemies. Why heal, why revive? Why waste turn on useless golem? Just kill.

survival mode works like a charm with: warrior, conjurer, ranger, cleric.
warr in front and all points+ gear pointed towards survival, he is there to soak hits together with the summoners minions
cleric and conjurer = all stat points in int
ranger all in dex
1st round: kill all but 1 enemy, summon the golems and aply all buffs your party can produce on every single party member (including summons), if ppl have a curse let the cleric spam the group heal until it fades (make sure to give him high regen) repeat this proces incase some1 died or a conjured minnion had to be replaced.

Bacteria, This game as not too hard. But some players too dumb. To choose appropriate difficulty level. Don't you see these oprions or what? After you choose your party, there is another screen, "select difficulty level". Is it too hard to read carefully "no penalty on defeat" and click your mouse button?

Simply add the hardcore option where if you lose a fight its over period. Or learn the very valuable art of retreating.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I still say this game is too hard. If you lose one fight, it's over, because you'll lose too much equipment. And it's too hard not to ever lose a fight.

In my opinion, the best setup for survival is:
FRONT ROW:Empty Warrior Barbarian
BACK ROW: Empty Mage Cleric
All barbarian's stat points should be spended on strenght and all warrior's stat points should be spended in endurance.
Barbarian must intimdate in his first turn and use reckless fury in his second. This makes the warrior a tank and the barbarian a strong attacker (expect one-hit kills)
The cleric is for healing (without a cleric, you'll not go far in survival)
The mage is the less important guy in the team, althought he helps a lot
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
In survivor mode, I made a nice try up to 36 level with a warrior and a rogue in front row, and two cleric in second row.
just give the maximum life steel capacity to the front row, and have a cleric with holy light and high speed

OMFG UR F******* KIDDING ME I GET PAST LEVEL 40 AND IT STILL GOES ON BUT WHAT PISSED ME OFF IS MY F****** FIREFOX CRASHS WTF GOD***IT! WTFFFF

Zwischy, you're so wise. Why I can't see your name in the high score list?
It IS matter what mode you play. Most legendary monsters needs special tactic. And you can't beat them in 2-3 rounds. Even 5-6. Some bosses have revive ability, so you face monster you just killed again. And many other cases. Go get some expireince in this game and then give away your advises.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yeah, I've generally found that no matter what mode you're playing, it generally pays better to play offensively than defensively - if you can take down one or two monsters in the first round (say, with Execute or Pin/Coup de Grace combo or some other way), that makes the rest of any given fight MUCH easier.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
And you re wrong on tanks. Warrior is better tank for sure. just look at hiss passive armor skill. And he does much more damage than cleric. And he has damage increase skill for the whole party. And he can stand 3 rounds when goes critical low. And he just does damage instead of healing self.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Arsetotem, your setup is too defensive. Wargolems do less damage than regular members. Try to get more firepower. You need only one cleric, or even no clerics at all.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Amidaos, please note I am talking about hardest difficulty mode. No shop, no mana regen, no mistakes possible, monsters do 150% damage. With your setup would be almost impossible. But possible though, with some luck. Cleric needs 100% stun resistance as a rule. Or hes dead.

if you want defensive frontlines - go for a endu. cleric: its better than the warrior, since he/she can heal and wear heavy armors. it can also revive characters in case your int-cleric get pawned. for a support - go for a conjurer int. it can summon wargolems for support to frontlines, it can revive also, it can heal hp and power for summons only, it can buffs all your characters for 15% dmg resist in one cast and can give decent dmg in long range (normal atk) tips for survival: dont use offensive characters (rogue, barbarians) rangers is also a good support and power fighter in one.

i like how buffs dont stack, what i mean is the same buff from diff char dont add to same buff but if its better it replaces it :] good job, i cant wait for the next monsters den

Barmaley, that's a great combo, i just tried it out, but i figured something else out that i love. One priest, front row, and 3 mages, one with incinerate in the front, the others with shockwave. You completely dominate cuz all enemies take damage, make sure you have ur priest completely armored and shielded up tho.

so i get all ready to do the survival...get into it.... click what i think would constitute the 'skip turn' (X) button.... and im back at the main menu...
thanks a lot ppls......I was looking for a new way to waste my time...
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I've had lots of success with an Endurance warrior up top, an int cleric, int wizard, and int conjurer(summoning war golems and bloodsprites) on the bottom. Great game overall, I love getting new items!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
dammit 4 more to go til 40 wave and i have to blew it. heres my strategy: 2 cleric (1 int/healer/backrow and 1 end/frontrow) and 2 conjuror (int-both with wargolem& refresh energies. 1 with banish, 1 with eldritch aegis, backrows all) both cleric should have revive, the rest is up to you. keep summoning wargolems and keep all character/ summon HP high. i lost because i messed up healing my clerics. so this strategy is best for you (conjuror - ignore 1 refresh energies for a call soul (in case your clerics are dead)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Amidaos, best combo for me (for harders difficulty mode) is warrior tank, 2 rangers for heal and damage and conjuror to armor tank and damage. Replace 1 ranger for cleric for more safety, but less firepower.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Phantom, there is difficulty modifiers. Try it and you will find this game isn't so boring. Or you'll find that it is too boring... to die so often! hehe
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
im on lvl 24 with
warrior
cleric
barbarian
ranger
i havn't died once, it's really easy and gets really really boring after a while, they need another main boss after the one on lvl 10
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Great game, currently using a Endurance warrior and strength warrior and intellect priest on the front row with a dexterity rogue in the back, great combo, what've you guys been succesful with?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
warriors are good tanks, mages pwn alot i just add intell on them and so they deal a shit load of damage to all enimies, and barbarians are that good, clarics are a must have, and conjuers are ok i usally have one to make units in the empty spaces, and i dont use the bowman i dont like them, and rogues can deal alot of damage to one unit
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Yes. Start agian. When I learned how to play this game, I've started over hunderds of times. And go wonder, there is mode when you dont' lose an item on defeat but game is just over. And some players can go with it.
