At first, defense IS the best defense. As you progress, offense slowly becomes the best defense. So using an Intellect ranger as a healer is not a bad idea. Offensewise, it can deal massive amounts of poison, and has great buffs. And it has pretty good speed :)

The number of times I have come back to replay this game, long after the badges were completed, is testament itself. Fantastic game, roll on MD3....

To sell items, you must find a portal scroll in one of the treasure chests. That will transport you to a shop where you can buy/sell stuff. Once you have enough cash you can also buy a preferred customer badge that allows a free trip to the shop once per level.

any tips on getting 50k points (aka the OTHER hard badge)? or is it just a grind. i find it tedious as a Warrior-Cleric-Conjuror-Ranger, but i'm only running 150% in bonuses (normal setting + Hardcore + Attrition).

Just beat a pandora's box of 3 gorgons, 2 minotaurs and an undead boss. Took an hour and the loot drop was nothing special. You can beat almost any combo with a warrior who has enough armor to reduce damage by 99% when you use speed, damage and poison resist buffs.

For Survival Mode, have a conjurer with Battle Golem and have the golem health go up as high as it can, it might take a while but slow and steady wins the race

@BubbleSqueak: Depends on your playing style. I, for myself, find myself using mages more often than conjurors. But if you want to have a source of resurrection in case someone dies you will need, go with conjurors.

The key to survival is spells that last all combat. The ranger is good - there's a spell that gives poison resist. Warror has damage buffs, and execute. Conjuror summons extra monsters. Cleric is a must for healing / emergency revive. A good trick is to kill all but one enemy, blind it with devine light, then rest until you have full power before finishing it off. Health regen items should be a priority.

rangerspwn: It definetely is possible with a good strategy. I just died at wave 34 using Warrior, Cleric, Conjuror, Conjuror. I went unlucky and at wave 33, one of my Conjurors and my Cleric died, and while I was trying to tank the damags with 2 summoned wargolems and my warrior, hoping to get to use Call Soul and revive my other two, somehow my complete first row died. Bad luck, I just have to work the strategy out a little better, then it might work well.

@ GrayFox2510: Have a Barbarian ready, he has a skill called 'Jostle'-
This allows him to swap position with an ally of your choice.

The only thing I couldn't find (assuming it's there), is the ability to switch positions mid-battle.
It's generally not an issue... Unless you face a minotaur. In which case I hope your team is all ranged or something, because melee will get screwed if you are unlucky enough.
Otherwise, very fun game. =3

I was defeated and of course, an item was lost. I had a female character that lost her pants. ...Could that mean? ...Nah...

@Daceleric: Your message had two parts to two different people, one of whom responded. I misread the response as being to the other part of your message, hence my comment. As soon as I noticed what I'd done I voted my message down because (for some reason) it's not possible to delete or even edit one's own messages here.
