It was an excellent game yet again but I would also expect Going outside talking and trading people not staying in a cave killing things...Its still a ggreat game though 5/5

The (Rogue)Sneak Attack + Mage standard attack is the most useful combo I've found in the game. It'll take out most any enemy you'll encounter in the back row.
Then, for bosses, you can't beat the Rogue's cripple with the Warriors overwhelm.

Very nice game, i really liked it. It's a shame you don't find any companion along the way.
You have 2 unused free slot in combat screen; i supposed they would be used to add companions along the way, but....no companions found at all.

thats what im saying - the mage has only one use (electrical storm), and the rouge's only use (in my game) was using the double hit, whick wasn't too deep strategy wise. Please explain what cosmic prison is for.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
madcow, what are you talking about? the rouge is one of the most powerful fighters in the game. you're supposed to only use daggers with them so that they benefit from str and dex. my rouge can hit higher than any other of my party members. also, the drain power move is perfect for the corrupter. the mage only uses electrical storm and cosmic prison when needed

getting to level 50 on hardcore is repetitive as hell, but every once in a while I'd find crazy weapons that I'd never seen before, which made the game way better. What would make this game better would be to make it like the story of Gauntlet: Legends or that new XMen RPG- where you have a variety of different enviornments to go to. My only complaint is that by level 25 or 30, i ended up fighting the boss first and then going down to the next level - it sped up the impossible badge a lot. Also, the rouge is worthless, and the mage has only 3 real attacks, one of which you use every single round.
5/5

thats what i figured, and i tried that strategy for myself, wasn't very effective, mages die too fast lol. the only why Zaknafein's strat. would work was if your people were amped out on quickness
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well, i'm on lvl 19 and all i can think about is how long it's going to take to get to lvl 50. Doesn't help that it's repetitive as hell. Other than that it's a pretty good game. Also, it would be nice if there was a change of scenary.

I gave this game a 2/5 at first because it wouldn't work on my computer. Now it works, so I upgraded my rating to 4/5.

ZakNafein is dont remember there being any monks/wizards in this game.. unless it was changed or something, tell me the correct class names cuz i would like to try that approach

Forget if I commented about this, but this is the first flash game where I'd love to see an expansion set. If the engine of this game can be easily reused, oh the possibilities...

Love the game! awesome RPG, reminds me of world of warcraft except without the view of the world around you, i would suggest this game to anyone who enjoys RPG's, with all honesty.

Very good game...with 2 monks and 2 wizards it's very simple ! My monks are quicker than the wizards, so: 1 anoint on a mage, 1 on the other...and then 2 lightning at 175% of maximum damage :P
I win almost every round before they can attack :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
well it looks like a good game and the items kind of remind me of world of warcraft but to me,whenever i fight, the battle never ends and the enemys dont fight, they just freeze...

best party...
monk in front middle and 3 mages in back. always endurance for monk and always intellegence for mages. always put highest armor rating on monk and do the most damage staffs for mages.
time for the starting guide....
===skip first 2-3 levels to buy lightning storm thing for mages and revive and party cure for monk. have mages cast lightning thing and monk heal. the monk will take most of the damage and the mages will finish the enemies too quickly to die.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@TerryS: the reason the lightning does less damage is because it's based on intelligence. If for a mage, you spend all your points in one level on intelligence, you get 6 extra. If you pick up a new planespine staff, the damage increase can be in the hundreds.

If Health Regen only works when fighting, the party could go to an empty room and fight itself. The mage casts siphon and every one pass until they're full.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Oh and the Lightning spell might be bugged when it comes to power as well. It seems to do diminishingly less and less damage as you go up in levels. Once I hit the level 30's, its doing almost half of what a normal attack can do.

Few ideas for improvement: 1) Do not have a "best item" button. Everyone has different priorities when it comes to what to equip. 2) Create a dedicated item description box. Having the description directly over the item makes the whole deletion and preview process a pain in the butt! 3) I think the Mages Lightning spell is slightly bugged. It will say "miss" on monsters but still do damage. Plus it seems to do the electricution animation even on dead creatures now. It never did before.

It'd be nice if you started finding new mods and weapon types as you go on. Otherwise, level 5 is exactly the same as level 50, just with higher numbers.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
This is a great game, but there is room for improvement. The gameplay would be much faster with the inclusion of a "Equip Best Gear" option. It's tedious to fumble through your inventory searching for the optimal gear every few battles. Other than that, this is a fantastic time waster.

Great game!
One of the best turn based strategies ive played on the internet in a long time. Although it starts getting boring at lvl 5, because its basicly the same thing over again :P

A nice game, very good playability ... lacks just a smidgeon of adictability :) but you could argue that's a good thing.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Was a good game overall but I found myself spending more time trying to keep my inventory clear of items and checking every item I picked up stats, I spent more time doing this then actually fighting or exploring the dungeon. My suggestion is a massive decrease in drops and maybe a money system where in between levels you could purchase armor, weapons, etc.

good game takes too long tho, just got medium badge, cant be bothered to spend god knows how many hours getting the other 2! in all a good game 4/5
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
garin - REALLY well made game! I liked the fact that you mixed in enough items and attributes to make the best random items truly special. I finished in ~8 hours with a fighter + 2 clerics up front and a maxed-out kill % / high-speed ranger backing things up. Not sure about the repeat playability, but hopefully your engine should be used to construct Monster's Den II. Nicely done!

Impossible badge obtained with ease using 1x Cleric in front row beefed up with Shield and loads of armor, back row Mage/Warrior/Ranger, Warrior using spear and being in the middle for maximum cleave effect. Lots of regen, and speed for back row, for maximum damage output. I plowed through Three seasons of Stargate getting this done >_<

I love this game :)
I think it needs more levels for lower levels , although, if you want more you CAN go to a higher difficulty, but there you are killed easier and more mobs, etc, unfortunately making it harder on people who wanna play easy mode :)
Great time killer in school too :P

Great game with only one small problem. After around level 50 or so on extreme, nothing but purple items are an upgrade. I am relying almost 100% on %kill and %stun.
