awsome game, the only problem is when you're on extreme and on level 47 and your party is defeated....so then you have to restart all over agian, and its just to time consuming. so im bored of it and most likey never going to play agian. but there should be check points, like every ten levels because it just take way to much time to redo

1 warrior up front: specalize him in strength. 2 clerics up front, specalize their items in def, and their stats in intellect. 1 mage in back. specalize in intellect with her.

My strategy:
1: warrior up front. High speed, powerful sword and shield, using mainly cleave and overwhelm
2: ranger in the back, lots of speed and damage, need I say more?
3: mage in the back, as much intel, mana regen, and attack effects as possible
4: cleric up front. As much armor and mana regen as possible. Speed doesn't matter for her 'cause I want her to react to the baddies' actions, not anticipate them.

I have to add the the Rogue may be an under used class.. The get a rouge only weapon that allows them to add strength AND Dex Bonus for total damage
Right now my level 10 rogue hits for 316 base damage. And I not trying really hard to max her damage as the ranger needs dex ger and the fighter needs strength gear

This game has started to lag for me on level 20, which is sad because I was still enjoying the crawl. It takes up to two minutes from when I click on a room with monsters for the battle screen to show, so I think I'm just going to have to leave my game unfinished.

Aww... I get to the final level, and the writing doesn't load! Ditto on completion. (There is meant to be writing at the end, right?) Great game.

I like to make a guy a tank-high endurance-and then give him all the most reflecting items I can. So he reflects a whole lot of damage, but his armor may be weak. Luckily, he has high endurance however, and therefore can take those hits before a cleric can heal.

I prefer health regen out of those 3 choices. But my strategy is to have two warriors up front, and give one high armor and health regeneration and give him "shield wall" as a skill. shove a cleric and a mage in the back row & the other warrior front and center with "cleave", "blood lust", "execute" and and high powered hp regeneration and strength

I had the most problems with those Cultist boss with his powerray or whatever it is. One has to heal all members or else he kills the backrow-members. Haven´t made it to lvl 9 though yet.

I am currently trying to finish hardcore without a party member dying. Currently i try Cleric, Ranger 2x Mage. I might switch to 2x Cleric 2x Mage. I would recommend to get rid of the white/grey stuff. It´s just annoying to throw all of it away. Also the game loses it´s challenge after lvl 9 quite a bit.

My Party was Cleric, Ranger, Rogue and Mage, I used the Mage as my Damage dealer, Cleric for Anointment and healing and then I used the Ranger and Rogue as a combo to pin and then Coup de grace the stunned target

This is a great game, you can really sink hours into it and still be challenged, or mess up and die and have to start over. Really challenging and one of the best games here. MF DOOM

Great game. 5/5
Only 2 suggestions:
1 - you could include a "shop" some places so we could buy/sell/trade items (I know it makes no sense to have a shop inside a dungeon, but it would be nice to go look for newer items).
2 - you could also include more enemy types and enemy combinations to make it less repetitive.
After 25 lvls +- I couldn't careless about deep analysing my items to equip my fighters... it became too easy.

Weird that so many people don't like the rogue. By far the best damage dealer for non AOE attacks. Fragile doesn't matter when you can take out most enemies with one hit. AOE is nice to soften things up, but when you need to take out a particularly annoying enemy right off the bat, there's none better.

Party Mechanics) I played Hardcore with two Clerics, a Ranger, and a Mage but if you are a risk taker or playing lower difficulty replace the Cleric with another damage dealer. The Clerics are meat-shields, healers, and buffers. The Ranger is an opportunist looking to finish off vulnerable or dangerous target(s). The Mage is also a smart attacker with the added advantage of being able to one-shot bosses (especially when Anointed). I put all points into Endurance and would strongly recommend you investing more than half there, too, but you should be okay if you boost your killing ability a bit.
If you are confused, please note that this is the third of three posts. Good luck and have fun with all the awesome loot.

4) Rangers are very useful and deadly. After loading up Lethality, Stun, and Poison, they can effectively remove single targets with normal or Hunter's shots, or spread the damage around with Hail or Pierce. With the final ability to stun with Pin, Rangers become similar to Mages.
5) Mages are awesome. With all sorts of target choices (single, area, all) as well as the ability to stun with Cosmic Prison, you have all the attack choices you could ask for. More importantly, Ensorcelled Blade is the single most potent damage source in the game, even after being nerfed.

In case anyone cares, the following are my thoughts on character classes:
1) Warriors are mostly useless. Being limited to melee range and few decent non-damage abilities means that your warrior will often be passing or making "why not?" attacks instead of really being helpful.
2) Clerics are great due to their flexibility. In addition to healing, they can hit any target with Smite, all targets with Litany, boost more powerful attackers with Anoint, or even use Holy Light for an effective 30% damage reduction.
3) Rogues are fairly ineffective. They are once again mostly limited to melee range which is a huge liability, especially because they are quite fragile front line fighters compared to the Warrior and Cleric. They have some worthwhile moves but none that scream "Oh my God look how overpowered I am!!!"
