Just got lvl 50 with a 4 rogue combo (everyone hides then sneak attack= 4 enemies 1-shotted)... Got kinda tired of it towards the end so i just skipped all the enemies and went to the exit.

GREAT GAME GARIN keep up the good work , i have 1 mage cleric warrior and rogue works great for me just lost 1 battle for the corruptor :( which I leard you need to kill him on the first round and a warrior whose faster makes it:)

i use a warrior mage ranger and cleric with only the warrior in the front row and maxing out his endurance and using shield wall with the cleric purely healing with good power regen and using anoinment whenever hes not healing works pretty well

Anyone have any extreme tips? I can only get to level 4 before dying at the boss. I found that using 2 clerics (you really need the healing on extreme), 1 rogue (for the power draining skill on bosses), and one warrior (for execute) is the best combo.

Do I have to do something special to get badges?
I completed beginenr twice by now and still got neither of the first two badges... :(

yay slowly going towards my lvl 50 badge, my party 2 rangers (one with crosbow for heavy damage and one with bow for quickness) and 2 clerics (one for tanking and one for healing/smiting)

There's no damage bonus from parrying daggers. They just act as a light "shield" that doesn't encumber you like the heavier versions, useful if you're concerned about maintaining a high Quickness.

Wierd... I just completed beginner and neither of the first two badges registered complete. Those extra two items are pretty damn cool, and I like the fact that you can continue with your party after you beat the last boss. Great Game, although I have to agree, you should lvl based on kills not floor advancement. 5/5.

Any party should be viable on hardcore. It's the beginning few levels when you're still weak and low on good equipment that determine whether you make it or not. Kinda dislike that.

Mages and clerics worthless? My mage dishes out a huge amount of damage, and I definitely need revive in hardcore (from dead to nearly full health is a huge turnaround).

I could be wrong, but I believe your damage resist goes down each level you advance. my warrior is at 53% right now

@Shadowstallion: Click on map hint and go to all unexplored areas. If the map is all revealed, then you must have found the exit. Stare hard at the black map and try to find the green exit.
PS.: Anyone managed to get damage resist up to 100%? I never seem to go past 50% no matter how high my armor value gets - is this a bug or is this a cap?

This is a conspiracy. I got killed before I got to do anything (alright, I managed to cast thief's luck and that's all)... they just stun-stun-stun-me then wiped me out. Getting stunned is generally rare (and all getting stunned is definitely ultra rare) so I didn't load up on anti-stun gear.
And yes, I do agree with the WAY TOO MUCH equipment part... so much time, patience and effort exhausted.
For those playing for hardcore 50 badge, do you clear every mob on every lvl? I try to just clear the boss and the bigger groupings on each lvl. I reckon that they hold the cream of the equipment and it should be enough for me to win. This will also save time... and lessen the impact of a heavily-invested game going bust when you almost got it.
I still can't get any closer to the lvl 48 I managed earlier (yes I said I would give up but I knew I would eat my words lol :P).

love this game . I use 3 rangers and 1 cleric, cleric tanking in the front, with the strongest ranger behind him. it works fine.

Alright, I tried Rangers again, getting a little further in, they definitley seem better. 4 rangers, one with +int gear, Nature's Balm has completely replaced Clerics and I'm at level 14 hardcore mode. The downside is now mages and clerics seem worthless. I guess it all depends on the group setup.

About Rangers: I played through this on Hardcore. I typically kept my fighter alone to tank alone in the front, so the ranged was necessary. Also, pierce was one of my most used skills.
Rangers are very good for picking off casters and they don't compete for drops with your mage.

Don't knock rangers, they're fast. Someone did hardcore with a 4x Ranger team. All 4 using Hail, and mix blind, lethal, stun, poison. Works really great if you can get the mods. || Nice, I haven't used the Overwhelm / Cripple combo before (at 75 power, Overwhelm is a tad expensive for my taste). Usually I just go with Make Opening. My party's got plenty of stun, so my Rogue often uses Coup de Grace.

i use rangers, my advice is have 2 rangers
ranger A- melee with the three attack skill
ranger B- strong biw and poison / heal skills
team-
cleric-mostly heals/have good melee damage/armor
2 rangers-(see above)
warrior/rogue- melee/armor NO SUPPORT SPELLS!!!

Overhelm/cripple is a very good combo.
With rogue you slow the target's speed then attack the target 3 times with warrior. Make opening is really strong too.

OMFG. on stage8 i had 4 clerics. two of my strong/healers died. i had 100%str and def no heal.... my other cleric was 100%heal no def and str.... i beat them omg hard..... p.s. hardcore mode
