Wow, this is really fun. Currently my favorite game on here. You've done a great job making this. I'm sure there will be badges for this soon cause it really is a great, addicting game!

Great game. A bit unintuitive in the beginning if you accidentally put a non-ranged character in the back - a hint that you need a ranged weapon would be nice.
I'd also like an icon for my party's position on the map in addition to the lighting effect.
A suggestion: Scoring could increase for clearing everything (as it is) but decrease for exploring everything (as that means more free treasure, making everything easier).
But. Fantastic game. Hope there will be a sequel!

Hell yeah! I had given a 3/5, but this time, with balancing I will give you a 5/5 , amazing (fixed) game =]
Maybe in the next version you could make it like GBA's RPGs, with animated characters?
Anyway. very good, gratz o/

newsninja as i saw, intellect gives you +1 heal point, at least for the cleric's heal all spell. Others i didnt check

This is a very fun game. To me it seems basically like Dungeon Siege in a very well done flash version. The item names, turn-based battle system, and overall graphics deliver quite an awesome atmosphere that is hard to do, especially in flash games like this. There aren't many things I can criticize, except for the fact that after nearly battle, you have to configure your equipment because you almost always get better equipment. Also, there needs to be a store or something. Just destroying items seems a bit pointless. Not to mention there's been a lot of times where I'm shrineless and potionless. *faves*

great game.. first dungeon crawler I could really get into! Loving my group dynamics with AOE stuff. I just wish that intellect affected a clerics healing.. if you are mostly using a cleric for healing, stat points are nearly useless other than for hit points

with 2 cleric, 1 mage and 1 ranger its rather easy, even on hardcore level:)
(only the final boss managed to kill a party member, and it was only because my damage reflection:))

blackdog55: The game automatically saves.
sdork: Drag-and-drop the item to the red X in the lower right corner, or hold down Ctrl and click on the item.

And one more: SLOW effect is actually beneficial if your character has high quickness: it erroneously gives a free action.

SirJackRex : Coup de Grace uses the range of your current weapon. If you can shoot/stab them, you should be able to use it.

Awesome awesome game.
However, I have a rouge character, and when ever I try to use Coup de Grace (The enemy is stunned) he can't target anyone.
The skill doesn't say only in close combat, if it is a close combat move, I suggest you change the description ^^

I just published another minor update, fixing several bugs. It's now safe to use Type sort when you have more than 45 items in inventory.
amilir: Yeah, that was a bug. Embarassed I missed it, but it's fixed now.

new version is much better
the warrior lost his usefulness somewhere in the 3rd level from lack of decent weapons, now in level 5 he can finally match the damage of my female rouge, who rapes with create opening
mage also owns but theres a lack of good items for him right now as well
so with a slight modification to the item generator to give the items more evenly between the characters(unrealistic I know) it could help with ya know, having one character keep the same equips for 3 levels in a row like my last two games before I finally got decent equips
it sucked having to throw away everything I got because it was worse than my level 1 items

jonysuave: You need to make sure you've unequipped any shield or dagger in the character's other hand. The Axe and Spear are two-handed weapons.
checkeredshirt: Thanks for pointing it out, that's a new bug that will be fixed shortly.

I now have a bug where my bonus attack skills are only attacking twice instead of 3 times. It's making it very hard to win the final battle when the "dark" versions are attacking three times but I'm only attacking twice.

Overall EXCELLENT GAME! However, I happen to agree the inventory is a bit cumbersome. I love finding new treasure, and swapping out old equipment for new, but enough's enough. Perhaps you could have a stretchable box to grab more than one item, to drop into the trash? Difficult enough to be a challenge, while easy enough to avoid fights you can't win, and yet still progress in levels. The 5 different characters are well balanced in power, and equipping just the right item can make or break a battle. Fast and easy play, with replay value up the wazoo!

MUCH BETTER!!!!!! but still no xp system or all char slots filled? could use more improvement, but now it is defenitely badge worthy.

I'm generally very impressed with this game. It has a clean, professional feel with lots of customization, a good combat system, and lots of replay value. My biggest complaint (and it is rather large since I find this to be exceedingly cumbersome) is regarding items. I find it difficult to navigate through the items and keep track of what's what, especially when items are dropped so often. I'd rather see fewer items with a clearer equipment screen that has bigger icons and a clearer indication of what items can be used on whom and with what benefits. It's unfortunate that you're limited to so little screen real-estate, but that's the nature of flash games. This is an ambitious title, and a fine effort (I'm still giving you 5/5), but I find this one aspect to be intensely frustrating.

WOW That was some slick quick action on feedback. Thank you very much. Updated rating from 4 stars to 5.
For those who get the black screen make sure you are running the latest version of flash

This game's grown on me and its starting to get pretty cool, only down to level 3 so I don't know how many more to go :O

I only see the loading in the corner too...
After it has finished the first loading screen it goes to this one nd hasn't moved for like 10 minutes...

This is my favourite new Kongregate game in quite some time. It's addictive and fun, fairly well balanced, with few bugs and surprising replay value. Once you finish the game with a 'balanced' party, try going with interesting combinations (all clerics and mages anyone?) for added challenge.

A few bugs:
Fireball seems to do the full damage to all the targets.
Sorting by type when there are more than 45 items in the inventory duplicates ones at the beginning of the list and destroys the ones at the end.
Stun % chance on weapons doesn't seem to work. I had my warrior with the Golden Axe (17% stun) for quite a while and I don't think it ever stunned anything.
When the spiders on the beast levels do their web thing, sometimes it gives my faster people a second turn. I suspect a ranger using swiftness could also make your people lose a turn.
Poison damage on a weapon seems to work with smite. Maybe other spells, too. Might not be a bug, but seems weird.
