Too easy, but grinding to get the badge at level 50 was annoyingly long, even with racing down avoiding as many non-boss fights as possible. It would have been more interesting if the stats system were a bit more intricate, so that, for example, adding Dex to your fighter would give him more quickness.

For people asking about the sequel, I have a forum on my site (biclopsgames.com)
It's mostly dead at the moment, but that's the best place to make suggestions about the game. I'd rather keep it all in one place.

this game is really awesome but u know when u play it more times it changes kinda boring u know making the same thing

was hoping for more on lvl 50 sort of like lvl 10 was or maybe every group encountered was a boss and gave epic. Not much fun on hardcore after lvl 5 though. Killed every boss except the first 1 then after that wasnt anyone that even challenged my party.

I know what you mean blackskyy, that happened to me with portal, indestruc2tank, super crazy guitar maniac deluxe 2, and countless other games.

garin you said a few comments ago that you were working on a sequel. Here are a few suggestions, hope you find them helpful- 1.) I would like battles to be more strategic, say, being able to move your troops around to protect certain people, etc. 2.) There seem to be a lot of unused items. I would like there to be more strategy involved in upgrading your party other than "ok, I got a new, better item. Time to switch them out" after you pick some stuff up. 3.) I dont really know how you would do it without recreating the whole battle setup, but battles seem a little too passive for my taste. A lot of clicking around for not much satisfying action.

Hardcore is not so bad... Extreme is a killer. I've had about 6 TPKs on extreme. The "Impossible badge should be achieved by destroying the Corrupter on Extreme.

reminds me of FF1, which is the best game ever in the history of the world. i have a cleric (white wizard), warrior(knight), another warrior(knight), and a mage(black wizard)..... just like old times. :D

Longswords can usually be used by anyone but clerics. Consecrated is an enchantment that only applies to longswords and makes it possible for clerics to use them.

Once I got to level 50 (as it was kinda boring after level 12 or so--and at 40ish I started hoarding every purple item I could (one of each) because everything else was worthless) I got bored and tried to see what I could edit with Cheat Engine. I found quite a lot of values, gave up trying to figure out how to add abilities to stuff though (i.e. making a green item a blue, etc.). No, I have no idea how an author can protect their games from Cheat Engine, but supposedly it can be done.
I did, however, in the process give myself 5000 boss kills. :P In retrospect I think that was a little over the top. I did not intend to give myself an all-time highscore that was 8 times higher than the current, I was just having more fun screwing with the game's variables than play the game itself.

Did you say sequal! W00T!!
@ sbonagof: If you die your game gets deleted, and a lot of people are not patient enough to get that far.

Errr... Is it a glitch that the Consecrated longsword can be used by all, but it is the ONLY longsword that can be used by all?

I'm having an issue with the game not saving my progress on hardcore. I get to level 4, die once and it doesn't have my game saved at the starting area?

Tayon: there isn't a store, it's a suggestion that some people made that you could sell or exchange items you didn't want for items that you did.
Re. the medium badge - I didn't get it either the first couple of times. Then I just kept playing, and at some point during level 10 or 11, I *think* when I was in the Chars screen, it just appeared (iirc without the announcement in the chat window). So don't quit and start over, if you keep playing, I think it should appear.

i agree with xamphira, its really not impossible, the only challenge at all is the corrupter, and all you do is kill him before he clones you, speed potion and overwhelm with the warrior(s) and then just attack, as long as the game isnt rushed, the impossible badge just takes time, and really isnt hard
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I FULLY agree with xam! Really great game.... BUT WAYYYYY to long to get the impossible badge, not any harder though. Get's insanely boring past level 10, so to get to 50 is just a huge headache.

4/5. A fun and addictive game. I have been having a problem getting the Corrupter Disruptor Badge...I have beaten him on beginner twice now and still no badge...anyone else have this problem?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I absolutely love this game. The first nine levels up to the corruptor and then maybe a few after that are great: and if you've cleared it with one group of heroes, it's interesting to play with a different combination.
I disagree with all the shop/uber-items/make it easier suggestions. If anything, it's too easy.
*BUT*. The impossible badge. Someone at Kongregate really needs to understand that "having to play for a long time" does not make an impossible badge. Running round levels trying to find the exit in the fewest number of battles isn't "impossible". It's just boring, just like the Pizza impossible badge that went on forever.

Small strategy: Kill the Corruptor before he can summon his dark clones by having a rogue go first. Use cripple so the Corruptor can't go until your whole party has gone, then kill him. I recommend Ensorcelled Blade using a mage.

This is the best flash RPG (and possibly game) I've ever played. A version 2.0 would be even better, with something to do with spare items. A shop, perhaps, where you could sell and buy items! Online trade and battles would be amazing too.
Nevertheless, fantastic game, 5/5.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
here's the best one for boss monsters, espec dysruptor, cripple(rogue) + annoint(cleric) *to warrior +overwhelm(warrior) uber boss killer

Tardis, that I have explained how so please.
Returning to the Shop Idea what they could do is Invent money into the game so you could buy heal/energy potions and some Items and also store and/or sell items there.
