spartakips: Your clear/explore percentage was probably 69.6%, which rounds to 70%, which the game shows you, and then uses the nonrounded value to calculate score.

Don't ever let your little cousin play this game on hardcore mode! Even if your characters are perfectly built, he will manage to die and you will have to start over. xDDDDD

Same problem as DonnieD420 and oblivion666, it just stays at the battle screen. Obviously a glitch, but does anyone know a fix of some sort?

Alright, I got the hard badge and am well on my way to the impossible one, i used two fighters and a cleric in front and a mage in back, the front line maintained a balance between strength and endurence. Its worked well for me so far....

when u die in hardcore... u really do die... in a way thats good in another that would really suck if i was really close to the badge, but since i wasn't thats okay

ok i guess thats cos its called beginner... but even first time playing i played medium and it wasnt remotely difficult... i should play hard
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ok im at like lvl 13 on beginner... killed the boss on lvl 10... no medium badge... and yes, i did do it after the badge was set, i did it this morning... any ideas? great game though, im just gonna sit here and do it again i think... beginner is so easy...

I think the accuracy percentages need to be looked at. Normal accuracy (95%) misses a lot more than 1 time in 20. When you get blinded by 20, down to 75% accuracy.. it seems more like 40% chance to hit. Of course... trying to judge patterns just by looking is tough for a human so.. I dunno. :P

want a simple, good (and boring) solution till hardcore level 50? 4 mages. first skill: electrical storm, second: incinerate. every stat point to int, and focus on quickness-giving items. one enemy: simple attack, maybe incin. more: electrical storm. after level10, just collect the chests and find the exit. you can pretty much forget the monsters. and don't be afraid to use the shrines

before you fight him take all your mages spells out except the siphen one and use some of those BA 118 damage staffs, so your twins just keep using siphen

RandomTaskMan i dont know how far you got, but i actually got to the lvl10 bos on my first try and only got killed coz my mage’s evil twin used the flickering flames on boss. Kind of hard to win if you have no skill with lower damage than your health, eh?

On another note, is it possible to give a person 100% explore automatically if they have 100% creatures killed and do the same thing for current scores too?

The fix hasn't changed anything, it's still too easy, even on hardcore.
I'd say give some better drops on the first few levels, because they're mostly luck based.
Hail of arrows is still overpowered, if you know how to use it properly, along with a bunch of other cleric and ranger skills...
Oh yeah, shields are completely useless, what with their -20 quickness.

Oleoay know one will ever see what u wrote because u wrote so much JUNK that it went to page 2 before u finished NO ONE needs a guide to this game that is longer then the declaration of Independence

@luigi2777, who oddly enough has Paper Mario as an avatar: Nine for the story, then it goes as far as you want it to.

This game is pretty good. Saying sorting through and equipping items is tedious, would be quite the understatement though.

Correcting this comment ..
"If you just have warriors and rogues, you won’t be able to get to the boss if he’s in the back row."
You can get to the back row by killing everyone in the front row.

Character positioning is important too. Whoever is in the front row in the middle is going to get hit the most since all three enemy melee characters can target him. Similarly, mass effects like cleave do best in the middle. One party I ran with 2x warrior, cleric with ranger in the back put the cleric on the wing so that only two melee characters could target him.

I've never had problems with the corrupter, probably because I target him first. However, one thing I've seem to notice is if a character kills his mirror directly, then the character dies. So, try not to have characters target their mirror unless its a mass effect. And again, target the corruptor first.

By level 5, you should start caring more about quickness and +health/+mana items than armor value and stat buffs. Gloves that have stun can be helpful for melee fighters. With the changes to hail of arrows, damage gets to be more important than kill/stun/poison effects, but kill/stun/poison is still valuable.
A good rule of thumb.. if you're able to kill the enemy in one round of all your characters attacking, then up endurance between rounds. If you can't kill in one round, up str/int/dex as appropriate. Endurance is important as enemy damage reflect gets more painful at later levels.

I've gotten to level 50 twice. One effective team (pre 1.2) was one cleric in the front row and 3 rangers in the back row. Hail of arrows is nerfed so it might not be as good, but pierce combined with healing and the ability to target bosses and acolytes/shamans in the back row is good. The cleric does a lot of damage and can also "tank" while keeping himself invulnerable.
Also, learn how to milk battles to heal up. Weaken a nonthreatening creature (arachnoid, protector, skeleton) and let him stay near death while you gain mana and health regen.
The most important thing to do on the first level is get health regen items and equip them. The second most important thing is to kill all monsters and grab all chests before facing the boss. The third most important thing is to target the boss. If you just have warriors and rogues, you won't be able to get to the boss if he's in the back row.

I'm glad that you can't close your browser to get out and restart a fight.. it stops people from disconnecting on the "single death" levels. The best way to avoid this is to equip a "may retreat instantly" item on one of your characters. That way, even if your other party members die, you can use an altar to restore.
For those complaining about inventory management, get a good idea of what items you need and don't pick up the crappy ones. Most of the items seem to have "common" bonuses. For example, level 40 you might get a +30 health +4 mana regen item. On level 42, it'll probably be a +32 health, +4 mana. On level 45, something like +35 health, +4 mana. So, skip it until you need it. Just browse chests for purple and blue items and don't grab anything until the enemies start getting tougher.

I agree with nate451 and some others who have posted about this.....too much time spent on inventory screen...I sometimes get to the point where I don't even look at my items......still, great game 5/5
