... sorry im a little OCD about this but standard notation (for 150k for example) isn't 1.5e^5... it's 150,000 -- and in scientific notation it's 1.5x10^5, but if you wanna go the 'e' route, then it's just 1.5e5. But either way 1.5e^5 isn't standard notation or scientific notation, and it looks funny. Otherwise I like this game.

other than the obvious benefit of using the portal, is there any other true benefit of using it? I'm trying not to give anything away to people who dont know what it does...a simple yes or no will suffice.

Would it be difficult to implement a confirmation query before upgrading gear? Nothing like misclicking the wrong upgrade when you don't have the resource stockpiled to compensate

On the other hand just as i typed this i mysteriously got a copy of a level 10 map. This is wierd. Its actually listed after my level 11 map.

@ Sand and Sailor, I'm on map 11 after missing map 10 and i didn't get the upgrades for the previous map. The new upgrades were the map 11 upgrades so it skipped breastplate and greatsword 2

I think a Log of all Story related items would be nice. I actually find the silly remarks refreshing and different, but I would hate to lose out on some few quirks que to idling through zone after zone.

so it seems whatever in your code comes out warped or missing in firefox but not in chrome as it works in chrome but not in firefox still

Sailor, you will gain upgrades from Maps appropriate to the Zone you are in. So if your world is Zone 15, you need to complete a Map 15 to earn an upgrade. And you will always gain upgrades in order: Shield > Dagger > Boots > Mace etc. You will never "skip" an upgrade by missing a map.

If I miss a map level, does it matter? For instance I mapped 15, missed 16, and now have a map for 17. Do I just lose the stuff I would have gotten in 16 or do I catch it in 17? Thumb this up so people see the answer.

Excelent Idle game, one of my favorites....
Some tips, game needs graphics... nothing fancy so it wont lag, just some icons on the buttons... And Icons next to resources, Jobs...

Can someone explain how to unlock the new block mechanism? I've gotten past zone 10 and do not see any new block-related unlocks.

I have a few constructive criticisms of the new build - but these are all on the basis I think it is a really strong game, with lots of good ideas! 1. Block has gone from being (in the preview) completely irrelevant to being important to the point that health is irrelevant. 2. Progress has gone from being very fast to too slow (bit of a grind going through worlds). 3. Resource gathering is very slow, particularly in relation to upgrading weapons/armour. Think it's a good game, but possibly some elements have been over corrected in the new game. Keep up the good work!

I forgot to add, if you ever find yourself fighting maps and seem to spend more time waiting for your trimps to repopulate and Traps are not doing it for you, fire a lot of workers until you get a map done and grind a lower difficulty one instead and rehire whatever you fired. If you want to keep the map, that is. Otherwise just recycle it.

Quasipickle, your total population grows by 3, the jobs by half that. Same for other population buildings. The rest are breeding new imps you (may) lose in battle. Please read the tooltip for Hut: "Has room for 3 more lovely Trimps, and enough workspace for half of them".

Few quality of life suggestions: Give 1 map for each level automatically, or allow for crafting maps of specified level, so you don't "miss" a level to farm a little if needed. Second, allow an option to jump back to world automatically after clearing a map if repeat is off (maybe repeat off, repeat on, go to world). Third, simple color indication for gear upgrades; something like green when the cost/point surpasses current gear price. Also maybe a tiny rebalance for gear upgrades; noticed it is often better to wait quite a bit after you can actually upgrade to do so. because at only 3-5, lower tier can actually be better or very close to the expensive new upgrade.

Would it be possible to see a rate of how much each equipment changes per bar/wood? For example, if mace gives 3 attack per 855 metal, it will show 285 metal per 1 attack, If done to all the equipment, it will make it much easier to see if it's worth investing into one equipment rather than the other.

So I have 31700 maps fragments from 8 explorers. I use 3 at a time. Very Occasionally. Whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy?!?! I would much rather have gem makers or something useful.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The gear upgrades seem to cost way more than they should for the amount of attack/block/health they give... t takes forever to be worth upgrading gear at this point (Zone 15)

Would it be possible to gain back 50-75% of the resources spent on a lower tier item when you prestige it to the next tier? So a tier III item when upgraded to tier IV might give you back some of the millions or a resource you invested in it.

The next update needs to have an upgrade that dedicates a trimp that can assigns things to be built for you for instance -if you are running idle with the game up and you run out of space for wood after a bit a shed will be built for you and so on, the required resources still being used, you just do not have to worry about wasted resources when you sleep since at this point and even in later game I would max out in an hour and a half. With the way it is now it does not feel like an idle game because I have to sign in every hour or so to progress at all

Didn't export because I assumed that saves were fixed but nope. I didn't even keep the old save code because I figured there was no need to have an old one around... RIP trimps, you will be missed.

suggestion: do not accumulate science points as resource, keep it only a flow (potential) value and then have unlocks researchable by it by assigning certain amount of science production a'la good old syndicate from bullfrog - like specialization on certain resources, customization of gear etc

A new idea regarding maps creation. as it is quite easy to generate map fragments and not many maps are required (personnaly I always create 1 of each type of ressource per level and try to find smallest size) so it leave me with plenty of map fragments.
So instead of trying to create map at random for 3 fragments maybe you could consider to be able to invest more fragments to get good maps (like more ressources / square, less difficulty, less squares...)

hello I think there is a soft reset but how to access it.
when I click the reset button there is a warning message that say we will loose all and get nothing.
I don't want to reset and find out the "soft" reset is elsewhere

Beta game was unbalanced, but quick paced and really fun - this current version is very slow and becomes boring too fast. I hope future updates will make Trimps really interesting, 'cause game have all the potential for that!

I love this game even more now with repeat on maps. Question for all of you that enetered the portal, what did you spend your 30 helium on? Or did you wait, like I am atm? The bait one looks pretty handy, since that last boss in that one map took me nearly 2 hours of constnatly making/using traps :(
