@nanofarad It is because that is the mechanic to unlock it. It is also designed to give more than the first few after it to get you started on the next reset if you choose to do so immediately. Since I was not sure if getting the blimps after it would be worth it, I went ahead and used the portal. While the bonuses did not seem to be very much I have gotten to world 10 almost twice as fast as I did before.

minor quibble about coordination: in theory, working together produces better results. rather than 1+1=2, the way it works (at least irl) is 1+1= anywhere from 2.1 to ~4

I don't want to play this game anymore even if you are going t reset it again. Are you going t reset this game again or have you found a way to preserve progress whilst you tweak things that need not be tweaked?

We really need a perk to get us through the first 10 levels faster. this could be a starting salary of some amount. shouldn't we be harvesting helium from blimps after we learn how on first run? why is it we have to get back to that bonus with each iteration and forget it each time?

is iron worth it? I've been debating this for a few runs and i'm really questioning it as a priority. block is tier 1 imo with block i can negate all damage. i pump my block up to 2-3 times my enemy worst damage leave it for 4-6 hours come back and I quite happy about my progress. trimp numbers are second priority. but the issue i'm running into is both of these priorities never use iron in any quantity. imo block should never have been based on wood. when you get your new secret block tech it should have been iron not wood. also the extra weapons don't really serve a purpose beyond flavor and something to waste your time map diving.

Found a glitch: if you have maps with items on them but you close the game and open it up again, the items on those maps will be gone.

Is this a glitch? I was fooling around and set the custom to 15K. And when i hovered the mouse over the house the resources say Infinity.

A counter to see how much of each resource you will make in a hour or in three hours would be nice. Not really needed. But it would be nice to be able to tell how many hours the player can be offline without the storages being full

So, today I try to play and I keep getting an error. Kongregate itself loads just fine, but the game is only producing a "Server not found" error. I would think it was an internet issue, but it seems to be isolated to just this game as I can load up and play others with no issue. Anyone else seeing this? Possible fixes I can try?

The ability to queue maps indefinetly would be a great help, allowing a player to boost resource generation of all resources, not just one.

@jq1439 Other than the benefits listed? Not that I can tell. If you can keep going for a few maps I recommend it though, plus you get to plan your buys before you use it so you know if you have gotten what you want.

it would be nice if for every 5 or 10 of a lower tier equip you have when you upgrade you get 1 of the higher level or hell just having 5 or more of the lower tier giving you just 1 of the higher when you upgrade

O no, I think I broke the game aha... It shows nothing but Food 0/blank, and the fight area, Trimps(1) 0/0hp; it won't let me gather, I can't reset, what did I do .v.

high stage coordination is unpossible.
and change equipment system is not bad.
but zero start is unfair. 1 level start is better.

Great improvement with the latest update, scaling of attack is much more reasonable now, thanks! For a next round, it would be awesome if you could improve the map feature! Maybe a sort, filter (show only food, wood, etc), and at very least a "create map of level X" - so you can create maps below your current world map level. If someone screws up, especially with Prestige'ing their items, they could get stuck on maps they can't complete at all! This way they could make a lower map and go grind that for a bit. Also - the abandoning map feature if you start a map you can't finish - that'd be awful nice to see in and working! Great job on making the game better, it's really coming along nicely.

I believe now it's a scaling problem with the window itself. If you have your browser window in full screen, or taking up much of the screen, it doesn't happen. However, if you resize the window to a smaller size, eventually the line will jump.

@Sandoumir - No, this happens to me as well. I don't have my browser zoomed in or any other unusual display settings. Standard Chrome, no messing around with settings.

Neobit, you probably have zoomed out or in on "your" browser making the Hire line jump up and down due to text. If you were to set your resolution to 768/800 you will run into heaps of trouble browsing the web as well, it's hard to cater to everyone's individual personal settings, since there's 3 billion people online and therefore around 2.9 billion different settings. That is why most things are standardized and will basically only fail someone who messed around with generally accepted settings beyond a comfortable margin of error.

People complaining about too many Map Fragments are quite simply not creating enough maps. Running a 100% diff / 150% loot map is way more profitable than a 150% diff / 100% loot map. But yes, some sort of sorting option or creation treshold would be nice.

Maybe a good idea to create the job of "breeder". at some point the breeding rate become crucial and if a +0.1 trimp / sec per breeder existed it would speed up the fights

Can you make it so that when you find a new book with the same name (like SpeedMiner), can you make it add maybe 'Vol. II', 'Vol. III' at the end? Or just simply 'II', 'III'? I found it slightly peculiar that you find the same book over and over again and learn something new from that same book each time.
So:
1st time found: SpeedMiner
2nd time found: SpeedMiner II/SpeedMiner Vol. II/Speed Miner 2nd Edition
3rd time found: etc.

... sorry im a little OCD about this but standard notation (for 150k for example) isn't 1.5e^5... it's 150,000 -- and in scientific notation it's 1.5x10^5, but if you wanna go the 'e' route, then it's just 1.5e5. But either way 1.5e^5 isn't standard notation or scientific notation, and it looks funny. Otherwise I like this game.

Would it be difficult to implement a confirmation query before upgrading gear? Nothing like misclicking the wrong upgrade when you don't have the resource stockpiled to compensate

@ Sand and Sailor, I'm on map 11 after missing map 10 and i didn't get the upgrades for the previous map. The new upgrades were the map 11 upgrades so it skipped breastplate and greatsword 2

I think a Log of all Story related items would be nice. I actually find the silly remarks refreshing and different, but I would hate to lose out on some few quirks que to idling through zone after zone.

Sailor, you will gain upgrades from Maps appropriate to the Zone you are in. So if your world is Zone 15, you need to complete a Map 15 to earn an upgrade. And you will always gain upgrades in order: Shield > Dagger > Boots > Mace etc. You will never "skip" an upgrade by missing a map.

If I miss a map level, does it matter? For instance I mapped 15, missed 16, and now have a map for 17. Do I just lose the stuff I would have gotten in 16 or do I catch it in 17? Thumb this up so people see the answer.

I have a few constructive criticisms of the new build - but these are all on the basis I think it is a really strong game, with lots of good ideas! 1. Block has gone from being (in the preview) completely irrelevant to being important to the point that health is irrelevant. 2. Progress has gone from being very fast to too slow (bit of a grind going through worlds). 3. Resource gathering is very slow, particularly in relation to upgrading weapons/armour. Think it's a good game, but possibly some elements have been over corrected in the new game. Keep up the good work!

I forgot to add, if you ever find yourself fighting maps and seem to spend more time waiting for your trimps to repopulate and Traps are not doing it for you, fire a lot of workers until you get a map done and grind a lower difficulty one instead and rehire whatever you fired. If you want to keep the map, that is. Otherwise just recycle it.

Quasipickle, your total population grows by 3, the jobs by half that. Same for other population buildings. The rest are breeding new imps you (may) lose in battle. Please read the tooltip for Hut: "Has room for 3 more lovely Trimps, and enough workspace for half of them".
