I've been playing for a few weeks now and still cannot defeat even one swarm in time...the basics are here, but it's so darn slow. And I don't like having to choose between getting nitro or offline progress.

well this game is broken. It doesnt save where you left off no matter what you do. It keeps erasing about 15 to 20 minutes of play time each time I exit. The save option is broken. It has now happened about 5 times in a row. I was watching my skill progress on all the characters. The ones I maxed out where at 0 when I logged back on. Levels, quests, items, all gone.

After 2 months i finally gave in and joined game's discord channel to check what's going on. Apparently developer run out of the ideas how to fix this problem (but didn't give up). Right now he's taking a break. From the looks of it we'll have to wait much longer if not forever. The only thing we can do is wait or play on Steam. In a way i enjoyed this lengthy break but i might end up switching until this issue is fixed.

There hasn't been any feedback from the developers since the first week of the issue. My question: Is there any work being done into fixing these old saves on Kongregate or will you only work on preventing this issue from occurring in future patches?

Items disappearing when entering the dungeon/leaving the dungeon is a real pain until you unlock the automatic pick up + filters.

i was able to get into the game today! had to go to Settings and import the last saved game on my system from Nov. 3rd, but it's back -- at least for now. many thanks to the team that got this running again!

After the patch, the game progress does not appear to be auto saving, and the export file also does not properly track progress, or allow transfer between the Kongregate version and the Steam version

Game works fine for me. Also why do the stat requirements for equipment make zero sense? Why would something a warrior would wear require so much int?

i have tried to transfer my saved IEH2 file from Kong to Steam, and it has failed every time. the Steam account will only look in folders i haven't been able to find on my machine. and pasting the text doesn't seem to be an option.

We are stuck on the Offline Bonus screen, and while I can click on the button itself, it simply does not trigger the code associated with the button. Could it be that the code is not placed properly in the Kongregate version (like it get's moved somewhere offscreen when the game loads)?

Currently, there is a bug preventing the game from being played smoothly. We are working diligently to resolve this issue, but we have not yet obtained clear clues. Its the year 2023. Why aren't games working in the background? Who builds games like this? Its not an idle game if you have to stare at it while it works.

After patch, game freezes at offline bonus screen, so players can't seem to be able to continue the game from that point forward. Hoping this will get fixed soon, so we can keep playing this game is stuck

Hi. Great news about the update. The game seems frozen at the outset though. It won't accept my choice for offline time. I push button, nothing happens. ?

@HapiwakuProject - I cleared the cache data on Kong and tested multiple old saves. They work fine until i hit Guild Level 40 which unlocks Mystic Arena. Since that point the save files are either loaded and get stuck on offline progress OR can't even load at all (newest one). I'm using Firefox 119.0. I'll submit a proper bug report with save files included soon.

tldr: the 1.2.1.5 patch broke old save files.
Okay... Ignore my previous comment about save file and playing on Steam - hell i'm even downvoting my own comment. At the moment, it seems using a kong-save on steam is fine. But a steam-save on Kong messes it up a lot. It became a very buggy mess, lost like all my gold cap, heroes - guild lvl still the same but no heroes. that's all i have noticed so far.
I'm sorry for the inconvenience. I'm currently investigating this issue. It seems to take a while to fix it.
Here are some findings from the investigations so far and potential solutions:
1. Save file exported before the [ver. 1.2.1.5] update on Kongregate seems to load correctly on Steam. However, save file exported on Steam may not load correctly on Kongregate. If you plan to continue playing on Steam rather than Kongregate, you can load your Kongregate save on Steam to continue your progress.
2. Some users have reported that they were able to load save file (exported before the [ver. 1.2.1.5] update on Kongregate) by clearing the cache data on the Kongregate website.
3. For Mac users, it appears that loading save file in Safari works correctly. Regardless of whether you are a Mac user or not, changing the browser you use may help you load your save.
I'll continue investigations more. We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

if you haven't made a save, it would be best to not enter the game just yet. If you do, it will overwrite the save file. It's a big maybe if the game saves the offline progress.

New update just hit steam, so Kong should receive an update soon as well. It usually took a few days to account for hotfixes as well. It's a big update with lots of QoL stuff, new Super Dungeon, pet milestones and adjustments and more. Once update is LIVE you should be able to use bonus code - IEH2SuperDungeon
