I have the game set to mute. Some time after my screen saver starts, the game starts making noise again. I have to unmute then mute to get it to go silent again.

i know many people on kongregate are from Europe and use the long scale of numbers, and this game is in short scale, also i don't know all the big numbers like alot of people so here's a list of both short and long scale numbers: http://bmanolov.free.fr/numbers_names.php

Can we get a 'turn off manager' option? Mostly so we can measure what (if any-in most cases almost none) effect a given company is having on our total income.

Export makes a long string that works as a "save file" and copies it into the clipboar. Paste it to a text file (notepad, wordpad, whatever else you've got and use). Import, reverse. Copy the string you exported earlier to restart from the point at which you exported.

Brought my rating down to 2 stars today, the latest upgrade slowed my income down by a factor 100 or more ... please explain, instead of downvoting ...

Even with 10 quintillion AI's, 900 of each is as elusive as a 100 pound halibut. The Newspaper still just scales up way too fast, and the disparity between it's cost and earnings is ridiculous.

this does not get said enough, but...'Ryan' I think his name it...is one of the best, if not the best game designer (pardon me if I have got that wrong but whoever is in charge of feedback and updating the game) out there, and thank you for putting so much time and effort into this game, I for one am very thankful to the developer(s) for helping develop this game, thanks.

Shrimp boat and car wash get no love at all. Still 5/5 but really? Pizza makes 3x as much as shrimp boats and cycles faster.

@mrlordolle Click settings and click to reset your game. The game tells you how many new angel investors you will gain with each reset. Reset pretty frequently at first to gain early production increases that will help you grow much faster.

@Tarrock Lemonade is nerfed. you need 775 newspapers to make lemonade useful. then you'll see lemonade gets better than oil for a while.

You should add a set up upgrades that you can buy multiple times that rise in cost each time you buy them. I have 4 Quad AI and at this point the games seems to be more buy everything, wait a few hours, reset, repeat. With upgrades you could buy multiple times, you wouldn't be stuck with extremely high prices, and low outputs.

My thoughts on AI upgrades: Only get the business boosts if that puts you over a multiplier that you couldn't realistically gain with cash. Though you "lose" some AIs, the increase in money should result in a net gain over time. Since you get to a good reset point sooner, those AIs can turn over profit sooner, leading to more profit in the end. Especially the multiplier bonuses: getting those with only 2-3 times the AIs can be realistic. I bought the 11x one with only 1.4 Trillion (leaving me with 400 Billion), but because 11x is so huge I was still making over 3 times as much money. Not sure I'd recommend that, hence my 2-3 times suggestion.

Thanks for the help. I guess to put it simply, this game doesn't fully explain exactly what benefit angel investors provide. That is why I didn't know if sacrificing for production upgrades would be worth it. Perhaps including an actual production increase value for angels would be more helpful than their effectiveness percentage so it would be more obvious that a x3 overall production increase is worth the 10k angels.

dude! This game has so much potential! Just like you! I think it's pretty awesome for you to see like 'my game has nearly 4 million plays'! I BEG you for making adventure capitalist 2 of 3!!!

Lemonade stands don't scale that well into the late game now... 900 of them seems to produce less than 500 oil companies.

@ Corcusant (and others) about AI upgrades: One you get going (over a Quadrillion AIs) the cost of all the AI upgrades is negligible.. I have about 300Q AIs right now, and I have 17 trillion new AIs coming in every 10 seconds... so spending 1.2 trillion (or whatever it is) is literally one second worth.
I'd say the multipiers are worth it much sooner (probably when you still are in the billions of AI) because they are so massively helpful.. I'd wait on the extra newspapers and such until later.

@spacetrooper It is not a 2% increase, it makes each angel investor provide 2% more "investment". The base is 2%. Because angel investors are earned by earning money, it usually isn't a net loss unless you loose most of your angel investors to the upgrade. I would suggest having at least 4x-5x the angel investors to the cost of the upgrade before buying it.

Since my previous question got downvoted a lot, even though it was only a question (strange :s) again: An angel investor takes slightly more money than the previous one. Is it therefor wise to purchase upgrades with angel investors? There is indeed a huge albeit temporary benefit but in the end with the same revenues after a soft reset you have less investors. Anyone know what's best here?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@spacetrooper77: AI expenses are only really a tradeoff if you have close to or just over the amount you need. If you now have 1.1T AI then buying the 1T income increase will probably end up being a loss. At the time you get 10T+ AI this is no longer an issue, as getting the upgrade is many more a gain than the AIs are a loss. In fact, at around that period you'll be getting hundreds of trillions of AI, and the costs for AI upgrades will be neglecible. Tl;dr for everyone: hold off AI expenses if you have close to that amount, if you 10T+, just buy everything.

I am currently having difficulties understanding the angel sacrifice upgrades. I can understand that if I am sacrificing less than 2% of my angels for a 2% increase in effectiveness, that I am increasing their usefulness. But how about the x3 production upgrade? I am hesitant to use it because it just seems like a net loss in production, and a waste of angels.

I would love to have more stats. Like $ per second. How much you have to earn to equal 1 Angel Investor... What exactly that 2% investment value goes towards (I'm just not sure)..
Pretty sure I saw that the devs are working on more stuff like this for a GUI update just wanted to put it out there...
AWESOME GAME LOVE IT!

These dev's are the kind the industry is severely lacking of. The last update has them asking us to email them directly if we don't like having a valid email on file here. This is just unheard of... and bloody fantastic! Keep it up guys, your work ethic and dedication to your community is something that other dev's should take notice of.

Hats off and congrats! You've earned it and pressed through some rough spots with grace, attentiveness, and diligence! Thank you and keep up the good work!

A tip for anyone who spams left click to buy 100s of something after a soft reset, use left and right click because on the buy button they both count as left click so you can buy twice as fast
